  1. What's "Star Kotor III"; something of the SuperStreetFighterHyperFightingTurboNewChallengers sort? So it'd be a version of Kotor I with turbo and a few additional moves. Just kidding: Kotor 3 all the way, of course. Though I doubt whether you'd get 'varied' results at all, given the forum this is in....
  2. For some reason I was surprised to see Force Crush work on Sion and Kreia; I thought as sith lords they'd be able to avoid it; my picture of Force Crush was that you're supposed to crush weaklings at one go with it; so 10 consecutive crushes on a sith lord did look a bit silly after all.
  3. Force Storm alone is boring. Try Insanity, Force Wave, and only then Force Storm on crowds. After Insanity, you can try Force Crush or Plague on individual victims. (As you can see I'm a big fan of Insanity) Death Field too is fun; but usually pointless because you never have to lose any hitpoints along the way.
  4. this simple manicheanism gets all the more ridiculous outside the fairy tale setting of the films, especially the OT. YUCK!
  5. Zez Kai-Ell: The funny moustache wins
  6. I wonder whether Lucas himself has put as much thought into this
  7. Introvert or Extrovert doesn't matter; either case it's better than being a Pervert. (ha-ha funny eh)
  8. That is correct. I love lightsaber battles, just like I do battles in space (ships fighting). Not only was the battle good but the music for it was perfect. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I liked the Duel of Fates battle better than the Obi Wan - Anakin duel in ROTS; as far as the emotional appeal of the gimmicks is concerned, the erupting lava, surfing on fire, etc. of the latter were no match for the beautiful choreography of the former.
  9. Especially when you get the halo with him LS, it starts to feel a little creepy.
  10. Had Luke landed on the other side of Dagobah, he would have been trained by Waldorf and Statler----now *that* would have made the galaxy a far more interesting place.....
  11. Prognosticative obiter dictum: This thread will get closed. : )
  12. The silliest part of playing only on FP as a Sith Lord is the totally ridiculous massacre at the Trayus Academy; it's so ridiculous that it gets stale very quickly and becomes really boring a little afterwards: Enter a room to encounter 16 enemies; apply insanity--force wave--force storm--force storm and there you have 16 pink xp points popping up simultaneously; not to mention the glitch that two or three guys from the adjoining rooms too get fried up when you do that.
  13. no it's just that in ESB he's a muppet
  14. Not an answer to your question; but I played through the game once, without ever using the lightsaber; force powers alone sufficed----and it was easy. (Consular-Sith Lord)
  15. Same as today: Turrican, Street Fighter, Mario Bros. (emulator stuff, that is)
  16. It's definitely K with me.
  17. That was a gibe at Michael Moore, right?
  18. Ithorian didn't fare much better.
  19. Before saying anything about the expressive range of the pure *sound* of the German language, please check the vocal music of: Schubert, Brahms, Berg, Wollf, Schoenberg, *WAGNER*, R.Strauss, J.S. BACH (the cantatas), Mahler et al. "Spoken German and Russian always sounds like the speaker is angry." Now come on: I suspect whether your idea of the sound of German is that of some vociferating Nazi animal.
  20. I guess it was a matter of controversy to what extent Magyar was related to Turkic languages; though I did some simple 'research' and it appears your thesis is the right one. Still it's a bit of a surprise to hear a language that sounds similar to one's own; especially since Turkish is sandwiched between languages that belong to totally different families, all of them using totally different alphabets, even. So there's nothing 'similar' around, not counting Azerbaijan where they speak practically only a dialect of what we speak here. Still although we've loaned almost an infinite amount of words from Arabic, Greek, Armenian, etc. that doesn't seem to have affected the sonority too much.
  21. Anyone have any idea how Turkish sounds? I'd like to know what my own language is like, in terms of its pure sonority. Once I heard someone speaking in Hungarian (is it called Magyar?) and it sounded surprisingly (uncannily, even) like Turkish. I know the languages are closely related, but I wouldn't expect the intonation etc. so be so similar. I don't have a 'worst' candidate, but for me the best sounding language has to be German. Next would be London-area English (don't know what to call it exactly)
  22. While Turrican is one of the best action-platformers aorund, you really should play Turrican 2 too, as it's the best action-platformer ever. At least in 2D. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really should have said Turrican I and II on the UAE. While I do agree that Turrican 2 is the better game all-around, I happen to have a soft spot for Turrican I as it was the first game I ever got to play, when after years of begging I was finally bought a Commodore 64; so I play it far more often. So I'm sure you too are looking forward to this 'Hurrican' project. For those who might be interested, this is a 'freeware' Turrican clone; again a 2D action game but employing cool rendered-graphics. There's a somewhat dated demo available, which I've been greatly enjoying; and it appears since the time of the demo the guys made a lot of progress in terms of graphics and design, as far as one can tell from the screenshots. The game's coming out this year, hopefully. Furthermore, among all other turrican clones I've never come across any that is as faithful to Manfred Trenz's original conception as closely as 'Hurrican', at least as far as the demo suggests. For more info. I invite every Turrican fan to take a look at: Poke 53280 (the site's in German)
  23. Do not forfeit your innocence.
