I guessing my regrettable choice of title is probably making some people believe my opinions is just invalid. I already explained what led me to write things is such terms but if that's enough for some to completely rule out what ever I say them so be it. random people opinions of my forum avatar is not my main life concern. for what it's worth, I do maintain my opinions. than being able to upgrade weapons (if only some) to use in final part of the game kills the joy of finding new equipment for me. if such opinion is so infuriating as to create such overreaction I will leave you guys in your safe space.

sorry if I am starting a controversial topic. my idea is not to get a flame war started, but I am interested in knowing what is obsidian position to companion sexuality. I would personally like if it was independent of. the player's choice in character. that is a companion will be attracted to a given gender and race regardless of who the player choose as a main character. also I've notice that many of the female companions are not really conventionally atractive. pallegina being the exception, but with a very unattractive personality. perhaps a more conventionally attractive female character would be aappropriate for our mostly male player base.

it's good that see they promise there will be more humor in to the game. for me that should not be concentrated in a couple of comic relief characters, but balanced around all important characters. please don't give me more characters that like cdurance and grieving mother that are all about depression and solemnity. put some light hearted aspects to them. it makes them more human and relatable.

I felt the original game was a bit too dry and took itself too seriously. Except hiravias, who was absolutely wonderful to have, most of the content and characters was composed of somewhat nuanced characters behaving relatively realistically. There was little room for playfulness, exaggeration and laughs, and combined with the fact there were often long expositions and depressing situations, it made the overall plot and dialogue seem hard to follow and monotonous. Two of the characters that many loved (durance and grieving mother) were for me far too long winded and distant. I had them at my party for mechanical reasons but I hated them to death. I appreciate a game developers intent of creating a game for a more mature audience but we should take in to consideration that it's a game after all. It's suppose to be fun, and humor and a bit of silliness is a part of that.

I am currently playing Pillars of eternity one, I havent finished it but i am pretty close. My Impression is that I am really enjoying this game and have enjoyed it more the more I play it. Despite that, I do find that it is an extremely difficult game to get in to. The game has 4 different types of defenses, several different types of attacks, plus different effects that can be added to those attacks. You generally Play six different classes at the same time, each of one has abilites, talents, Spells, skills that need to a be adressed each time you level up. Many of which are modified by attributes, Armor, Weapons, Buffs and debuff spells, potions, food, resting bonuses . some of which are time related, some of which stack, some of which dont. Weapons themselves, are separated according not only to type of damage, but also to speed, capacity to interrupt, range, added habilites and effects. Some of them even add spells. Every time I am thinking of changing weapons I have to take a calculator, and even then I dont know if I missed something and if I perhaps should simply have enchanted my previous weapon. I guess most of you get my point. Only currently, that I am finishing the game, kind of understand most of the systems. I Think most games should be a bit easier to get in to. My Ideas to solve this problem is that Pillars of eternity should slow the rate in which it grants new abilities and Spells, should include a rating system for weapons and equipment that allows player to make fast desitions as to which weapon to choose, and should limit more severly the abilites and talents available to each to class.

To be honest i would prefer it if there wasnt any multiclassing. The game is complex enough as it is and many classes already serve intermediate roles. For intance, from my point of view a Paladin is a Warrior/ healer. A Druid is a warrior/mage. And while paying Pillars of eternity one, many times i find that I am leveling up 3 or 4 characters at the same time. I have to choose skills, talents, habilites and spells for all of them. In some cases, like a Druid and a Priest, I get 5 new spells at the same time on top of all of that. It feels like too much to take all at the same time. Adding the desition of multiclassing everysingle level and how to do it would simply add a layer of complexity to a game which, on top of all that, already forces me to use a calculator every time i want choose a new weapon. Instead, I would prefer it if there was more of an effort in to making individual classes more different from each other. I am hopeful the subclass system will try and adress that.
