Another example: I was hooked on TOR ( ) for quite a while, doing endgame, gathering gear. Then recently, they introduced level scaled events, areas and whole flashpoints. And then the realisation sunk in... what the hell am I doing this for? What BS is this? And it was so lame I broke MMO-addiction and left the game... So 'awesome' is level-scaling...

Despite getting a red X the mashing F thing worked. Thanks. As you can imagine; My initial impression of the game... isn't great.

Someone wants to give me a hand with Tombraider? The first QTE to be exact... I mash left and right proper, then 2 circles with the outside closing in appear and... I have no clue what to do and Lara always gets crushed by a rock. Help?

Russia gave better offer than EU, he went for it. EU lackeys went AWOL, took power... set army to their own people, and with "support" of the EU life will be miserable since they cannot offer the same Russia can give Ukrain (like, cheap energy). Euromaiden riotted to go for the EU-treaty... one that's heavily destructive for Ukrain. Bit of a self-destruction really. Can't blame Putin or Russia on any of that, except "giving the better offer"... since when is that something evil? Hello, economics? Capitalism?

Oh, I actually now do recall the peaceful insurgeants of Kiev's response to armored vehicles... It was... the very peaceful throwing of 40 molotov ****tails; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXScRtANNGY But hey, keep saying destroying armor needs high-tech russian backed support...

Say the people who where saying the Crimea vote was under pressure due to armed people forcing people. What's going on here? The army? No... these will be good democratic votes. The difference between the 2? That one is pro-EU/US, the other not... and in one apparently armed forces are omni-present and make it illegitimate, and the other not. Funny how democracy works, eh? On a base-to-base and with similar situations being widly different since, well, this time the west is in possession of the weapons. I see hipocrisy. No, it's not. Because the US/EU thinks Kiev is awesome and Ukraine doesn't make it internationally so. "WE" are not the entire world. Russia is not the entire world. Afraid I can't do that, since the old government of Kiev didn't send armies or armed gunships to quel protests. They were still internationally looked upon for aggression though, despite being way less aggressive against it's own people than the current government. Odd how that 'international dismay' works. It's almost like it's just a few countries, rather than international 0_o

Cause people apparently need the reminder, it's been so long after all; https://www.google.nl/search?q=kiev+riots&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=n7C&rls=org.mozilla:nl:official&channel=fflb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=OLRkU8S8C4mOO-rxgdAK&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=978 And yes, I think it's only a matter of time now before Russia "invades". What happens then, well... all bets are off.

"But it was made for us."
Hassat Hunter replied to Bryy's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Go play Divinity: Original Sin. It has it. Going around the various forums it seems universally hated, so it may not make the final cut... so get in while you can! I think it makes more sense for a game with one one or two controlled characters. It may not scale well, becoming tedious with six party members. That being said, I liked the idea of a very simple weapon wear implementation. But a tiny but loud minority managed to shout it down. *Keeps on ignoring the boobarmor convo* 4 actually. And as said, pretty much everyone seems to hate it. No-one, at all, is a pro after playing it. That, or they keep their mouths very very shut while there's critisism all around them...- 340 replies

So with Kiev on the warpath, any guesses how long it takes before Russia intervenes? It seems pretty inevitable now with this aggression...

Quite a feat, let's play videos in 2000 with the webs and internet speeds of those times. More likely any let's plays are from modern gamers, usually less known to 2000 games and more familiar with modern dumbed down games, and thus play as they've learned from there. And as that result our new 2000 game gets dumbed down? That's beyond stupid... Hoarder doesn't mean "pick up all 1gp swords" btw.

Yeah, was somewhat dissapointed in TW2. I was planning on doing the alternative line, bt after finishing the game once, I never got in the mood to continue on an alt game. Played some Painkiller: Hell & Damnation (buying the whole Painkiller package on Steam). It's... weird. The levels I know, most the opponents, but there are some new, slight differences. The skeletons look terrible, some levels texturing doesn't look that good either, and the hitsound/deathsound of one opponent is outright horrible, Main Menu lost all it's coolness and uniqueness. Also I didn't recall chapter I being over this soon in Black Edition. Overall, not that good an impression for a new version. I don't really understand why there need to be remakes of games that still look good anyway.

Gorgon convinced me... Capturing, feeding, generally treating well. Barbarians! We all know civilised societies would strip them nude, make them form a pile, piss on them, let dogs attack them and then pose pictures with that. Tsk... barbarians! Geneva convention! Haha! (Also, what Sarex said... for someone getting a beating, there's not a single mark)

How does PoE innovate?
Hassat Hunter replied to Zeckul's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yup, OE's drive to "innovate" the IE-games makes more than a few of us worried. If I knew some of the things back then I did now, I probably wouldn't have backed and waited review from forumgoers here about it's quality before purchase... -
It's purely for realism reasons. And you know, many people here did ask for all items from NPC's to drop after dead since modern games stepped away from it. That you wrap your mind around that means you need to carry each 1gp sword or 5gp armor is not exactly a ramification of that... It's a little silly that in order to achieve THIS realism, another realism was sacrificed.

People make of stuff what they want... adding stuff and 'context' that isn't there... Also, anyone see any armed people actually there? I rest my case... So, pro-previous president... then turned current president... AND potential criminal ties. Sounds the guy made himself a target for everyone in Ukrain.

The idea of a "tank" that "taunts" enemies (always wondered how you'd taunt something undead, "Hey you, zombie dude! Yer mom!") but does about zero damage is a (mostly) MMO mechanic that's been bleeding through to single player games. "Yo, Zombie-bro! Looky here! BRAAAAAAAINS!!!" I'm pretty sure the warrior... I mean punch-bag doesn't have much brains. If they wanted brains, they would go after the person with the highest INT score
