NON-Obsidian South Park RPG Sequel Announced!
Hassat Hunter replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
But they seem to be using the same engine... which IIRC was Obsidian's inhouse engine, right. -
Oh look... another thread were someone thinks it takes an intern 2 days to add MP and then people go screaming and on a true swear-word spree when someone tells them how really costly and resource-intensive it actually is, throwing about such useful stuff like "What financial risk!? they made PLENTY of money" (yeah, I generally dump my payloan check in the garbage too. WHAT COULD POSSIBLE GO WRONG?) or "I'm asking for Lan Co-op, can no one grasp this ridiculously simple concept!?" (Can't grasp that really isn't very simple at all to add to the game, a simple concept apparently hard to grasp). I see a bunch of rational people and then you throwing around an insult-bomb. Sir, you do NOT look like the most intelligent person of this conversation. Not by one bit... Anyways, see you all in 1 month on the next similar topic!

Pretty much that... and to avoid people abusing it you now need 2 hours of gametime before the first card can drop, even for games you own 2 years or so. Definitely makes it a lot longer to gather cards for games I hate so much I don't want to play them for that time duration so just have them running in the background.

"Open World" Abused by Marketing Miscreants?
Hassat Hunter replied to Luridis's topic in Computer and Console
Well, it's bad marketing towards me... everything tagged "open world" immediately gets distrusted and less likely to be bought. Open World is only for a select number of games. And you just need to play a few games where sequels go "open world" (Batman's Arkham series, I look at you) to see that not all games would benefit from it, and... infact, greatly have diminished gameplay aswell as story due to it. Kinda lose-lose. No idea why it's so popular.- 14 replies

Really like the gog Twitch feed from KOTOR2 (with TSLRCM) each weekend. I may of course be slightly biased. Haven't bought anything there for ages though.

Some people still don't know the Golden Steam rule...? NEVER *EVER* buy something from Steam that's not on sale.
-
The "card farming game"... decidedly more time-consuming since Steam's 2 hour rule came into effect. I suggest everyone who thinks adding 2 hours of filler is good game design to try out this game to see it's... well... not.

NON-Obsidian South Park RPG Sequel Announced!
Hassat Hunter replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
So really what's the deal here... why no Obs? Why another dev, making the same quality questionable and cashcow liklier. They can't seriously turn it down to work on a World of Tanks-clone now, is it? That would be a sad day for RPG-fans... the RPG-developer saying no to RPG to work on some crappy F2P clone. -
Months later; still don't get it. You play RPG's for the story mostly, for the game. Leveling is just a means for that... but in itself, utterly substantial. Something could have 0 levels but keep you playing because it's good. And other games offer 80+ levels of utter mediocrity. Did I hear anyone say SW:TOR?

Massive KotOR II Steam Edition Update
Hassat Hunter replied to Blarghagh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Wow, 6 whole comments... even the GOG forums speak more of this than OE's own boards... :/ -
Or you end up with games costing 200Million and still need to cut edges by repeating lines 2 million times, alien VO to cover up certain lacking parts... and still fail horribly on the C&C department. You know, like a certain Bio game... they even outright stated the VO is a large part the reason for being probably one of the most expensive games ever made... *shrug* I rather had a good game :/

Anyone else read that as 'the fight against the Otters'? Those sly creatures.

And here I was thinking you were talking about http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/241620/ I was already wondering why the review scores where so high since not AAA+ game... DA:I didn't even come to mind till muuuuch later (around page 3 of this thread infact). That's how "good" BioWare became :/ EDIT; And as always:

1.05 Patch is Live
Hassat Hunter replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
I think I recalled re-producing that... let's see; http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72075-hhs-suggestions-and-bugs-list-508-build/?p=1645615 -
I wonder when the mentality changed... I don't think I ever saw anyone complaining about the cap in Baldur's Gate (2). Leveling was just what happened along the path, it was nothing something to go for. But then comes around modern ages and no-one seems to play for the game itself, but all for leveling. And once they hit the max (why did you rush to it then people?) they complain about it being required higher. Result; Modern games with 300 levels, New Game+ and New Game++ who are totally meaningless just to get that high level with the difference between lvl 1-20 being less than 1-2 in PoE or older RPG's. And it's seriously ruining RPG's like a black plague. Just where does it originate from? EDIT: KOTOR2 has a lvl 50 cap... you never reach it. Also the game's about over when you reach lvl 7, anything over that and you're an unstoppable murder machine. I always hear people complain about it but reading this thread it almost seems a dream come through for some people... 0_o

No, no more voiceacting... Less is More! Why the heck are you even still here... also DO point me at another 'small' RPG which lasts 90 hours. Go on, I'm waiting... still waiting... oh you're full of **** like usual right? Also I really prefer if they make PoE2 it doesn't Kickstart. Too many people with entitlement issues. Too much crap to reach stretch-goals. Just... no... never again.

This forum misses a "this post is full of crap", I would use it on several of roller12's posts above... Please kill me... EDIT: @nipsen; Dude... you're replying to the guy saying wall of text bad, voice it all. You should have fitten that in 2 spoken lines instead! I wish you good luck on achieving that though.
