Ooooh... The Sims. What is sillier is limiting one and having endless supplies of other. Freelancer comes to mind (limited goods, but you could have an infinite amount of weaponry). In general I agree with having ways in RPG's to limit people from carrying everything they find around, but it shouldn't become as redicilous as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Seriously, if enemies take that much fire to take down, why can't you take a proper amount of ammo around without becoming weighted down. I don't want to restock after each map!)

Sounds like a mod-conflict. And mr. Walkerguy; tell us how exactly you got the Escaped Criminals to spawn flawlessly, how you managed to finish "Redemption", if you ever PROPERLY finished the Telos Fuel Quest, wheter the HK-50's make sense when you leave the Telos Base etc. etc. All things that have been fixed for the PC, but a X-boxer has no way around now.

BINK & kotor2 fullscreen vs. window mode
Hassat Hunter replied to Balerion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Neither, you actually have to resize the files using BINK AND SMACKER (just google it). Added bonus is they take less space then too. -
No, as there is also easter-egg dialog for Handmaiden. I'm just not sure exactly what the trigger is for the "what is love?" question-lines are, anyone?

BINK & kotor2 fullscreen vs. window mode
Hassat Hunter replied to Balerion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's on the Obsidian Main Page, and I thought common know-how, but I guess a link won't hurt: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_kotor2_downloads.html -
Open Swkotor2.ini, find the GameCompleted=0 line, then alter it to read GameCompleted=3 (or was it 2, some time ago). Worthy to note is you cannot get this dialogue by playing it DS+LS like the X-box at all... just with the ini-change.

BINK & kotor2 fullscreen vs. window mode
Hassat Hunter replied to Balerion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You might try downloading the High Defenition Movie-Patch, then resize the movies (if needed) to your screensize/resolution of Kotor2. Then there is no need for windowed mode at all... -
I've heard this one once before. I believe the sollution was in the memory-HD of the X-box and that had to be reset somehow (don't ask me how).

Depends on the Hero's level. But unfortunately if you wait too long (like this is the last master before Dantooine Revisit) it will indeed become "impossible". If it isn't displaying that, but rather "failed" go to the combat statistics screen (inside the journal if I recall correct, has been some time) and click the feedback. There it will display the DC of the lock.

Right. That was for if the person would buy the PC version. Which, seeing the latest post, probably won't happen anytime soon.

Also, if renamed *.wav to *.mp3 WINAMP will open them up. Just be sure to do that with a copy and not the original file And .TLK files *can* be opened with just wordpad, just don't expect it to be very userfriendly.

Also alot of issues with smoke effects (and Dantooine/JJT) are solved with the "Disable Vertex Buffer Shader =1" addition to the ini. And as you might have found out there is ALOT of smoke on Peragus

Biggest nonsense you've ever seen from a game.
Hassat Hunter replied to Tale's topic in Computer and Console
Same here (Holland). Found one little less than a year ago for 7.50, did the store lose Disc 3... *sigh* Then I found a second copy past September... they asked $45 STILL. Ugh. -

Agreed. Though I have to mention UT2K4's Onslaught is kind of fun (because foot-folk can get along due to the AVRiL). Broken Quests, relooting the same corpses over and over, weird spawns, some very slow areas etc. -

Totally agree about the leveling system from Oblivion. Also having Goblins being more powerfull than Daemonic beings (both Oblivion AND Morrowind) is pretty questionable. My own personal gripe in Racing games (or GTA:Vice City) would be if other cars get out of sight they no longer get the traffic like you do. Especially annoying in Midnight Club II, where they did that in one of the hardest races, causing you to force to drive top-notch, and then it still would be up to luck. Is funny how the "champion" always makes a number 1 score when you drive some other way, but if you drive along with him he would finish last. FPS/RPG's: Infite respawning enemies that make no sense. Especially annoying in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if you wanted to clear an area. Why can't respawn only be done once you re-enter the map? Making only MP-patches for a SP-oriented game (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.). Seriously, what? I have digged up the game after a year for another run, and all 3 patches are for MP? -
*sees a warning with openGL* Did you update your videocard to the latest drivers?
-
Yup. Note the funny "known issues" section of the Kotor2 Read-me which mentions the game can crash and do all kind of other fun stuff if you go too long without transit to another area. :? Damn. It takes me a week to play through Kotor2 (or 1 for that matter) completely. And that is when not playing any other games, fully concentrating. I guess I am just slow/thorough...

T3 showing full-DS is a common bug. However the swapping around of alignments on a grand scale usually only happens when you cheated your Charisma very high.
-
And... (just in case): Make sure the file isn't in "Read-only" mode.
-
You are more likely to get INTO trouble with the patch, without Gizka's fixed (cheat node)

Is KOTOR 2 ok for xbox original? bugs?
Hassat Hunter replied to spartan117's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well; it has 2 additional game-stopping bugs. Just don't bash stuff to death you aren't supposed to and you should be fine though...
