  1. FO3 is going to rock!
  2. lol common sense
  3. A RTS-like control scheme could potentially do wonders for DMing, if well-implemented. Not having to possess each and every creature and go through radial crap for each of them would be nice.
  4. "One of the many changes is that in addition to the standard Neverwinter Nights controls, you
  5. I want stereotypical crap, please. I hate it when people pretend to be creative by putting BS like technology into fantasy settings. That makes me sick.
  6. VoIP is awesome. You just need friends.
  7. The way it will be done in Tactica Online sounds pretty promising. Game is set in an alternate Renaissance era. So, you get your alchemists, new technologies popping up, etc. Faction based on Da Vinci. On the other side, the church still holds much clout. Go inquisitors! And, of course, the magic-using heathens. BURN THE HERETIC! Adding in the 3rd faction really makes it more appealing to me, in providing extra context. It also make magic more appealing at the same time, too. Playing heretics is more fun than playing every other mage in the gameworld.
  8. I'm at position 1462 and 2960 min passed so far
  9. Not staged http://www.leagueofpirates.com/sirvival/queuedance.html
  10. Wizzie8 rocks. Pretty fun combat, despite its flaws/limitations. Going through some Civ4 scenarios. With some America's Army (...) on the side as I prepare for Red Orchestra to come out.
  11. Zelda transcends everything.
  12. The gamespot interview is promising, anyway. Making it more user-friendly seems a noble goal, though hopefully that doesn't mean dumbing down. "We will be announcing a more complete feature description next month, but this is what I can reveal right now: The game starts in 1453, right after Constantinople has fallen to the Turks, and continues up until the revolutions in France and America. It is played out on a map with about 1,700 provinces and sea zones covering the entire world. The game will let you play any of over 250 different historical nations." Looks like I'd be playing as China during the Ming dynasty ^_^
  13. Yeah, hundreds of nations and provinces sounds pretty appealing. Hopefully EU3 will follow the trend of HoI2 in terms of allowing (single nation) coop. That would kick major butt.
  14. So, if I am to get this right, EU is more a strategy 'simulator', whereas Civ would be more a 'game', hmm?
  15. Only found a demo for HoI2. Ardennes offensive, played as the Germans. I didn't really know what I was doing for the most part, it was mainly positioning units. I was playing on normal speed, because I didn't really have time to look up specific gameplay details yet. Later on, later on. Ended up with a marginal German victory anyway. Hmm, I definitely see the potential in this game. That was actually a lot of fun, despite having no idea what I was doing. Hehe, I'll keep an eye on EU3.
  16. Get the log here http://www.tacticamasters.com/index.php?op...id=93&Itemid=31 Some good new info
  17. Whoa, apparently HoI2 allows you for multiple players to coop as one nation. Neato. Hopefully, EU3 will follow suit. How would you compare those series to Civ? Is it mostly 'Civilization + Risk' because of preset world territories? What else sets it apart? Which features better strategy, and in what ways?
  18. Wait, that's just sad.
  19. Well, it changed my life in the sense that I now play genre X. What can change the nature of a man?
  20. Secret of Mana was the first game to *really* hook me into gaming. I played NES/SNES games before, but I wasn't really a 'gamer' until this game claimed my soul. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter was my first PC game. It was the also my first exposure to online gaming. Completely hooked me in. IWD was my first PC RPG. I was totally addicted to that game, hehe. PST was my first MCA game UT2K4 was what got me into FPS games. <3 assault. Dawn of War was what got me into RTS games. <3 strategic points. Xcom is the greatest game of all time.
  21. It's listed as a 3rd party title on Paradox' forum. HMMMMMMMMM. The plot thickens.
  22. It's not the lack of players that's the problem. I could easily schedule some sessions on Civfanatics. It's just that we were technically supposed to have sessions together, so I kind of feel bad with the results.
  23. Tactica Online is a online turn-based tactical game (akin to Silent Storm, Jagged Alliance, X-Com, etc) due later this year. A dev chat will take place in around 45 min (Febuary 19th starting at 5pm PST/8pm EST).
