  1. I'm actually playing through Pirates of the Sword Coast, the newest NWN Digital Distribution mod. Pretty cool production values so (I'm pretty early in). YAAAAAARRRRRRR. Piratey goodness = win.
  2. Meh. I'd rather people put all that effort into making new projects instead.
  3. CoD2 info: "On the Xbox 360 side, we're also happy to tell you that we're very close to releasing our second Title Update, improving the Xbox Live multiplayer functionality. Here's what's coming in that update: 1. Player Lag has been addressed 2. Private Game Lobbies / Reserved Slots 3. Enable Live Host to set custom game options 4. Map Preferences setting 5. Post Game Lobbies (players at end of match will return to lobby) 6. Enemy Player Name Notification 7. Kick Player (host ability) 8. Lobby Game Type, Map and Host Notification" lol patch Player lag isn't a bug or anything that needs to be fixed, it's a feature.
  4. There's very little indication that FO3 WON'T be financially successful. Bethesda has enough money that the game will probably have high production values, and enough clout that people will flock to it.
  5. And why they're still being made
  6. Well, not pertaining to Civ4, really, but just in general when it comes to other games.
  7. Okay, I'm scheduling my games on Tactical Gamer, a community that favors tactical teamplay. Instead of making it so that every player has to show up every week or the whole session is ruined, it'll have more leeway in terms of players opting in and out, depending on the week. Players getting replaced by AI or other players, etc. http://www.tacticalgamer.com/civilization-...html#post439189
  8. lol let's list console games that could have benefitted from patches lol pointlessness LAUGHING OUT LOUD
  9. I posted this in New Jersey forum, but I guess it applies to more than just that. http://media.pc.ign.com/articles/691/691086/vids_1.html Two next-gen console games in development ^_^
  10. Heh. As next-gen games become more technically complex, bugs will be more common - patch or no patch.
  11. It has nothing to do with the gametype. Writing quality transcends genres.
  12. lol bitterness I'd rather it be good too. I wouldn't play it just like I don't play sports games, but hoping for a a game to flop is a pretty healthy attitude for the industry as a whole.
  13. Yeah, good thing KOTOR1/2 for Xbox didn't need a patch for game-breaking bugs
  14. lol dungeon romp
  15. Yes. After winning the 'Make Something Unreal' contest, the modteam formed up a company (Tripwire) to make a standalone title, after getting rights to the Unreal (2.5 and 3) license.
  16. Civ4 ^_^ That, and waiting for Red Orchestra. March can't come soon enough. Stupid March.
  17. FO3 is going to rock!
  18. lol common sense
  19. A RTS-like control scheme could potentially do wonders for DMing, if well-implemented. Not having to possess each and every creature and go through radial crap for each of them would be nice.
  20. "One of the many changes is that in addition to the standard Neverwinter Nights controls, you
  21. I want stereotypical crap, please. I hate it when people pretend to be creative by putting BS like technology into fantasy settings. That makes me sick.
  22. VoIP is awesome. You just need friends.
  23. The way it will be done in Tactica Online sounds pretty promising. Game is set in an alternate Renaissance era. So, you get your alchemists, new technologies popping up, etc. Faction based on Da Vinci. On the other side, the church still holds much clout. Go inquisitors! And, of course, the magic-using heathens. BURN THE HERETIC! Adding in the 3rd faction really makes it more appealing to me, in providing extra context. It also make magic more appealing at the same time, too. Playing heretics is more fun than playing every other mage in the gameworld.
  24. I'm at position 1462 and 2960 min passed so far
