  1. He's mastered the mindless action romp. Although I felt The Island wasn't too mindless :D Any ideas for how the split would work?
  2. I don't think Episode I had too much of a split either, but yeah, there are the splits. In the case of Return of the Jedi it splits 3 ways (w00t). I loved the Obi-Wan parts in Episode 2 and Episode 3. Ewan McGregor for teh win! (P.S. See the island, it's a good, entertaining movie...Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson both did a good job. In particular I like the representation of the future).
  3. You're just a fanboi with good vision I'm sure there's plenty of PS:T that I felt might not have been as good. But I'm not demanding 100% perfection the whole way. And the parts I enjoyed I really enjoyed, so I was probably able to take the "weaker" parts and "inflate" them to a more appropriate level, based on the strengths of the rest of the game.
  4. Because the good was so good it overshadowed?
  5. Was there "really" a split in the first one (Episode IV)?
  6. "Then the miracle happens, they release the patch... I am just joking..Lighten up the room!!! (w00t)" That was a good joke :D I can't believ eyou said "they release the patch" with a straight face
  7. I like that idea. And to be honest, I would actually enjoy some "alone" time, where the PC has to overcome some obstacles on his own. I would like to explore the master/student relationship a bit more, and I think I would like a good chunk of the PC side of the game to be just him and his master, and perhaps later just him and his student. But I agree, seeing things from a varying perspective can be a lot of fun. I love the little ways that Splinter Cell 3's coop ties into the main plot of the single player gamer. And I think it would have been neat to have been able to go with Canderous when escaping the Leviathan.
  8. Fortunately I'm not as smart as Gromnir (of which I give kudos for RPing the same persona for lord knows how long)....so I can't pick out the crap in KOTOR or PS:T as easily. Or perhaps my brain is just so attuned to ignoring the bad and remembering the good. :D
  9. Clothing is too restrictive. You get cooler Jedi Moves when you aren't restricted by armor nor robes. --------------------
  10. Meh, we could have an early prototype
  11. Tough to squeeze it in between Sunday Night Football, Saturday Double Headers, and Friday Night's NBA on TNT :D
  12. Saying it will never turn is pretty much an open invitation. I give the thread 2 days.
  13. doo doo doooo doo DOO doooooo doo doo doooo doo DOO doooooo do do do dooo Dooo doo doo Dooooo doo doo do Doo doo doo doo do DOO
  14. "Plagiarist" is such an evil word.
  15. I'm sure that's a conspiracy too!
  16. I was finally able to get it going. I noticed in GRUB I could modify the command parameter, so I added "single" to the end of it and got things going. Thanks for the help.
  17. I don't know if that makes him a "plagiarist." He enjoyed the story and let it inspire a play.
  18. I'm not sure if I am. The only delay I can see in my boot is when GRUB loads up and lets me choose which OS to boot into. I did try mass spamming ctrl-x and ctrl-c during the boot-up, and was able to log in as root. But For some reason I was in a read only mode so I couldn't change my config
  19. The biggest setback I think would be replaying the game. If it's too long, no one is going to want to play through it. If there's a way to skip it, then I'm less adverse to the idea.
  20. I still find it unusual the a gun takes as long to slide the bolt back and forward like the Warren Report.
  21. All things aren't equal though.
  22. They aren't stealing your money. You have to give it to them in exchange for a product. Just like you do with the EA NFL exclusive contract.
  23. Ok I'll give that a whirl. As it is, I have my X-Window (GNOME) Interface load immediately. Do I need to "control-C" or anything, as I do not see a prompt at any time when I could possibly type this in.
  24. Which thread was this? If I didn't take part in it, then obviously I wouldn't know to look there. If I don't have a search critera I don't know what to search for. "games with short development" didn't immediately give the responses I was looking for. If the thread's were recent, you'd have no problem at least linking me to the thread (ignoring the fact that I probably would have taken part in them since I returned to the forum about a month ago).
