  1. Why was it not a cause for concern for the last 50 years? I think the complaint is not particularly valid because it's not required to say the thing. I don't know how you can be adamantly against something, yet not care enough about it to make it an issue.
  2. I'm curious about the motivation of those that are complaining. People such as yourself and Commissar seem adamantly against it, but if it is really that big of a deal, how come I don't remember any dicussions about it before hand?
  3. But why is it only making Athiests mad now? I still contend it's people looking for their 15 minutes.
  4. Depending on the provider, it may or may not even be enforced. My roommate and I have a cap, and while I never come close to it, he usually demolishes it many times over himself. If downloading TV shows is your thing and you're worried about the cap being enforced, then I'd probably not go with it. I like playing games and enjoy getting patches and demos very quickly, so I like my faster internet. Unless I download a ton of demos in a month though, I don't get close to 3 GB (I have 2.5 Mbit download).
  5. Eldar, I wasn't referring to you when I asked why Athiests are upset only now. Although I do wonder why it seems, only now, that they are now getting upset about it, when it's been in that statement for a long time already? How many athiests even knew it existed in the pledge before this event?
  6. How come it's only making the Athiests mad now?
  7. I liked Pirates. It's also neat that you age and you can see that it actually makes you move a little slower at times.
  8. I did want to smack the bonehead that asked MacTavish if he was going to let lose Hemsky this year and let him play his type of game. Yeah, MacT is just going to let Hemsky do whatever he wants out there. Like that wouldn't work wonders for team chemistry
  9. On a side note Kor, go listen to the Live Chat with Patrick LaForge. Yours truly was the first fan question :D
  10. I think hurlshot was referring more to the intensity.
  11. It's preseason, and you can only put so much stock in the preseason games.
  12. The bulk of the cost for anything is usually labour. Given the 3 times longer development cycle that Bioware, a much more established and reputable company, had over Obsidian, a young upstart of admittedly experienced guys, I'd wager KOTOR 1 had more money directed towards it.
  13. There was a space of 8 days between posts. In the high volume, go go world of the internets, that constitutes necroposting.
  14. Meh, spiritual successor. I think what I meant was "It doesn't have to be Far Cry 2" but can still be a game in a similar environment, with similar setting and everything. Spiritual Successor or something. As for the engine, well, this one will have EA oompf behind it as well.
  15. Hey! I've already posted that pic before!!! :sulks:
  16. Doesn't have to be a sequel. Plus, engines are highly markettable.
  17. Nah, you're just neglecting the others.
  18. Phillips = cool. I read a Dallas fan that listened to the game over the Internet comment on how he was surprised that he referred to the Dallas player's by name. I love Rod Phillips. I still remember his classic line that was used in ads, but I also heard it live. "OH MY WHAT A SAVE BY TOMMY SALO!!! THE FIRST ONE WAS PHENOMENAL, THE SECOND ONE WAS DIABOLICAL!!!"
  19. No Dvorak, but Morrow played decently. He wasn't playing with what I expect to be Mike Modano and Bill Guerin though. I'd probably pick him for that alone. I liked Staios' game. He took care of business in his own end, and I noticed him pinching up for scoring opportunities on more than one occassion. Pisani, Torres, and Reasoner all played well together. Pisani and Torres came away with three points each to prove it :D Conklin got off to a weak start, although I don't blame the second goal on him as the Oilers team let a Dman pinch up uncontested right into the slot for Morrow to set him up from behind the net. Conklin never had a chance. A lot of rust in this game, as well as young players. I liked the Calgary game a bit more, and it seems as though there's an entire concourse down below reserved for Lower Bowl tickets. Punks get nice cushioned seating and a full bar, and get to watch the Oilers come out of the dressing room. Now I know what I'm missing HAHA. Although for the most part it WAS cool sitting that close, the fact that we were behind the penalty box made it difficult to see plays in the corner. Still, it was cool encouraging the guys as they came out of the penalty box. I would have heckled some Dallas players, but at the time it we were losing 3-0 I did feel that Rita played a much better game this time around however. It's going to be tough filling out those last few roster spots.
  20. Vedder does play on a Seattle band though! :D
