  1. That link was one of my references as well
  2. No. It's because people have conveniently ignored it. (i.e. it isn't inconceivable, but the people against downloadable content continue to cite "hardcopies" and getting "screwed over" as reasons).
  3. Still need to play FEAR. Though I have a new computer on the horizon, soo...
  4. The Falcon is good. I can sustain fire on the enemies much more effectively.
  5. Here's one that I found really good. http://culturalpolicy.uchicago.edu/conf200...s/freedman.html I have a whole list of references, but many of them are DOJ links and whatnot to statistics, as well as references to TV violence (since I drew a parallel to it, since the media does as well). I can give you a larger list, some of which is good/bad for video game violence defense. For the most part, the non "fire and brimstone" studies point out inconsistencies with the other studies (the one I linked to you talks about a study that compared Myst to Wolfenstein3D, stating that the games are functionally identical in every aspect except for violence/aggression). It's an evaluation of the research on violent video games. If you want more links I can give them to you, but you'll have to do a bit more sifting through them (which I would recommend anyways).
  6. I wrote a huge paper on the subject. Give me a second.
  7. I remember studying Zimbardo's experiement in a Criminology class.
  8. I suspect PC just because they seem to be more MMO friendly.
  9. Someone needs to keep the young ones in line. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which is exactly why I don't put you on ignore
  10. At a cost that was less than the cost of death. I suppose we could have just logged out and hoped he got bored.
  11. I've played one pirate MMO. It was actually quite a bit of fun. The Caribbean is a perfect setting for this type of adventure.
  12. You are old fashioned. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And if your comp crashes, than you're screwed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you're not. I have a question, if burning patches to a CD for transportation is so bloody convenient, why is burning the files acquired from a direct download just inconceivable?
  13. Because we haven't already heard you say that in this very thread
  14. The level 67 d00d with the luxury liner outfitted with million dollar weapons persuaded us otherwise.
  15. If it means the same thing, then I had the balls to say it all along wouldn't I. I have my opinions of Hades and you, and they certainly don't include dumb. Both of you do post dumb posts. Hades often admits to his, based on his self-admitted irrationality. Yours are because you're a troll.
  16. The fact that you can recognize it is a strong case for you not being dumb.
  17. It's not a cop out. It was a deliberate distinction. Saying that someone is dumb is often incorrect. Very intelligent people often say things that are incorrect. I do not think that Hades is dumb. But his post was.
  18. I didn't. Read my post again. I called your post retarded. Which is a distinct, and deliberate, difference.
  19. -So what youre most proud of is the physics engine? -Thats right! -But Havok is a ready-to-use middleware physics engine made and sold by Havok Inc. ? -Yes. -So, the part of Oblivion that youre most proud of, is the one that was made by another company that Bethesda has nothing to do with? -I sure am!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They still implement the physics. It's like saying that a game the licenses the Unreal Engine doesn't have to design their levels anymore.
