  1. How do people have problems with the minimap? THere's a cone depecting the direction you are looking, so just point the cone in the correct direction? Darque, you probably could cheat it, though I don't know if you'll get the game to recognize that it should be treated as an indoor area. You'll probably have to specify that that zone is always in night time and stuff like that. I still find the complaints about the lack of ramps inside caves to be a particularly weak one though, given that the exterior terrain mapping is 100002304 times better than the exterior terrain of the original NWN. Sure, it sucks that you can't do that inside, but to state unequivocally that that is one way that NWN is better than NWN2 ignores the abilities that the terrain creator can provide in the toolset. You can't get this in NWN1.
  2. Yeah, because an extra inch makes all the difference. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Inch?! You didn't mod did you? you could build full on mountains underground, remember LOTR mods? Remember 9 layers scenarios? You had to ascend to the top of a giant throne that took five minutes and you knew you were going somewhere important. Now it's just "oh, theres the boss, right next to everyone else..*yawn*" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> On the plus side, I was able to put the Dragon up on top of a mountain with cool looking crevices and peaks making a winding trail up the side of a mountain, complete with molten lava. Sure, I guess it sucks that you can't make big giant mountains with 45 degree ramps on them underground. On the plus side, outside you actually CAN make a mountain, with smooth rolling slopes to boot! Nice rolling hills, with no silly looking 45 degree ramps on them. Oerwinde made a cool town with a Castle up on top of a cliff with a road going up to it, overlooking the town just below.
  3. Can't you just dump her? Or did you more mean 'if you want a rouge'? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She's with you at the start. I don't think there are any other parts of the game where you *need* her though. There are some places where you need Bishop (for tracking), and Sand (investigating the trial) and so on, as well as other NPCs. But for the most part, you can just keep them dumped at the inn/stronghold. But you can't dump Neeshka until you get to Neverwinter.
  4. Do you think it's a good thing? I have no qualms about encouraging people to get a University degree, but I'm curious if you have more people going to University simply because. Is it at least difficult to get into?
  5. It makes sense. THe game is completely unplayable without different heights in caves
  6. I noticed in my first trial there was some obnoxious loud mouth that came in "defending" me. I didn't know him, so I told him to piss off. I don't think he showed up in my second playthrough. The game may not be "non-linear" in terms of going off the path, but I have noticed a lot of subtle differences that have made some of the details different. It's been an enjoyable second playthrough.
  7. Hahaha I don't remember a little old gnome lady. I remember finding a bit more stuff the second time I played through involving the trial, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some more out there as well.
  8. The second video I made was in combat. I was fighting gargoyles and Mastiffs. So you're referring to the Keen trait itself, and not the actual spell Keen Edge?
  9. I more had the impression that they could lead productive lives in the fact that they'd no longer have to be ostracized from society, and able to actually find a place into society. I don't think it necessarily means that being an addict is okay and that there is no reason to change. It just means that if you're an addict, we aren't going to shun you from society and make you resort to criminal acts to feed your addiction. It can also provide avenues for helping addicts. Being cut off and vilified in society can help to make the problems worse.
  10. I wouldn't exactly say you are innocent of that. You were essentially calling people racists for not agreeing on your point of view in the Religion in the workplace thread. I mean, we were just doing our part to help spread and foster hatred, in your own words. Let's get off the high horse before you go around accusing people of making ridiculous statements.

They are rallying around their 15 year contract goalie (I still have a hard time believing it).

Well if we check out how many of them are powerplay goals... McCabe hasn't been getting as many so Tucker seems to have picked them all up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A PPG is still a goal though. He's off to a great start offensively. More PPG than anyone else in the entire league.

I've seen Ryan Smyth go on streaks for goals before, so I'm a little less surprised at this. Tucker with the 11 PPG was not something I was expecting going into this year.

How the heck is Darcy Tucker tied for 3rd in goals??
  15. I agree with you doobyfreak, I am not happy either... Grr! I wish this game would make those changes, if not, I will keep playing the games I always play like runescape, warcraft, eve online and so forth. Make the game better please or I will not play.
  16. I know you can hurt your own party, but you can't specifically target one of your allies and start attacking them with a melee attack.
  17. No need for the "sigh" because what you describe happens to me None Of The Time, hence why I asked my question. As for Weapon of Impact, maybe you're talking about the actual rolls in the console, but it sure looksl ike it works for me:
  18. I don't even know if its necessarily that they will make "improbable" levels either. I mean, they're going to have meetings and the designers are going to map out the setting, and ultimately the ideas that get tossed around are going to be discussed. It's not like he's going to just grab the tools and start designing levels willy nilly.
  19. The Great Depression was, sadly, ended because of World War 2. People were starving in a major depression before the conflict began, for a full decade. Indeed. Although I meant rationing, not depression(my bad). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think people were really "starving" either. I could maybe see the UK, but that might be understandable given that they had mandatory blackouts at night since they were being bombed daily during the Battle of Britain. The rationing in the US was started because the government didn't want the wealthy to be able to purchase the majority of the food. It is kind of a neat read because recycling was introduced because saving an aluminum can mean more aluminum for the war effort and so on.
  20. I think we're being a bit unfair in the nitpicking variety. Why would a candidate need to necessarily have experience with Fallout and its sequel for designing levels? Furthermore, why would an ISO level designer suddenly have influence in the story, while a Bethesda Fallout designer suddenly does not?
  21. I'm pretty sure that my Bracers of Defense didn't stack with the magical enchantment bonus of Armor. I'm not sure at all how this happened. How on Earth were you able to even hurt a non-hostile NPC? I have nuked my own party numerous times and my NPC companions have never decided to start attacking me. I don't even think I can force them to attack myself. Are you sure the Paladin wasn't suddenly confused or charmed? Same goes with the Flame Weapon. Is it even possible to target an enemy with it? I've never seen the AI do stuff that is impossible for myself to do, but maybe for some reason it is possible to target a buff on the enemies. I do know that there are restrictions on some targets (to my chargin as well, since I cannot Lay on Hands on an enemy Undead creature), and Flame Weapon seems like it would be one of them :\
  22. It's a different bug. I'm sure of it because both times it occurred while I was controlling my protagonist. I hope they fix this in the upcoming 1.03 patch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you report it in some way?
  23. Are you referring to the fun stuff people could do with the PS3, or the fact that one of my favourite forumites has popped out of his shell, and will undoubtedly illicit a response from me at one point? :D

I'm conflicted. I feel bad for poor mkreku because I know what it's like to support a team that struggles. But at the same time, I loathe the Leafs. At least tell me it's because of Sundin!
