Hmmmm. I loved XCOMs Ironman mode and played through until completion twice (once failing, and another winning). I did have one issue where targeting was causing problems, but I was able to circumvent it by being super patient and making sure that I was moving where I thought I was moving.

Lets just pull things back a bit here. You simply said "Islam" before. You appear to be moving the goalposts somewhat.... If it's an Islam thing, then it doesn't matter where the Islaming is happening. And the comment was silly because teenage women stating opinions (or really anyone stating opinions) throws all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds on the defensive. Plenty of Islamic (and non-Islamic) people championing Malala, so your blanket statement about the Muslim religion is incorrect. Or, as I put it, silly.

Hmmmm.... I bought it for myself and a friend on a whim. Hopefully we get a decent amount of co-op out of it XD

Is the co-op not just split screen? (i.e. remote) <.<

Because you made a blanket statement against an entire religion. I could claim that all it takes to send male gamers into a froth is a young woman claiming that women are poorly represented in games. Just see the ****storm that gets pulled up there. A teenage girl with an opinion can freak out a lot of people regardless of whether or not they are a follower of Islam.

Then when it hits 90% off you'll be REALLY upset!

Are you seriously comparing the situation for teenage in girls in north america to afghanistan? No, I was responding to this [silly] statement: "Al it takes for Islam to be threatened is a teenage girl with an opinion."
-
Those averages likely included cheaters, unfortunately. I remember seeing the money and it was absurdly high.

Teenage girls with opinions threaten plenty of people here in North America, regardless of religion.

It'd depend on whether or not Rockstar would want to. There's a good reason why we haven't seen Skyrim reach any of those absurd sales.

Maybe he meant Winter 2014 (Late 2014) sale?

I had a huge falling out with one of my best friends because his wife consistently passed along chain letters that often included critiques of Islam which basically showed that their "march of peace" demonstrations involved grabbing guns and killing people, and how passing **** like that on only makes things worse.

This made me laugh:

I found steals hard to get in 2k13 (especially compared to 2k12). Interesting that assists are harder to come by. Teams playing more stay at home defense?

Yeah I enjoyed that series!

To be honest, I can't remember a stealth game where you failed the mission as soon as you got spotted. There might be some short content part exception here or there, but a full game... Can't think of any right now. Earlier Splinter Cell games had "Reach X alarms and mission is over" including triggers for "are there any bodies still in the open?" They make fun of it in Chaos Theory.

Veterinary care also includes the option of: "This is too expensive, please put my pet down instead." Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, I do not consider the subjects that they cover to be equivalent. A lot of things that we do to our pets (maybe we shouldn't?) are things that I do not know if I'd be comfortable doing since we are allowed infinitely more determinism over the life of our pet than we are over another human being.

Introduction and Question to Obsidian Ninja's
alanschu replied to Tetragon's topic in Developers' Corner
A lot of people have used QA as an entry point at BioWare as well. I think if you're honest with yourself and with Obsidian during any sort of interviews, it won't hurt. Just remember (and you acknowledge this) that your responsibility will be the Lead QA responsibility, and you could be an amazing 3D artist and even help out the 3D art team on the project, but if people associate you with being the "Lead QA guy that really wasn't that good" it'll make transitioning more difficult. Also expect to be patient, and have an open mind. I took a QA position mostly to network and to hopefully get a programming job, but I actually ended up enjoying it. I have been in QA here for 4.5 years now. There's still some impetus to transition into programming, but in that respect I just have to be patient and have realistic expectations that it won't happen quickly. This helps prevent me from being frustrated, as frustration would ultimately spill over into my job in general. If you think you'd be good at the job and are willing to commit to it and are open to the idea that you might be in it for a bit longer than you may ideally want, I'd definitely encourage you to apply. (I actually had a small inkling to apply myself ) Cheers. Allan -
Yeah it's an ego stroke which is always nice. Though I've never been a hater of our system nor have I found waiting times to be extreme when I needed care. A decade ago I was much more in favour of privatizing the system somewhat, but I'm now of the opinion that it'd create some inefficiencies and probably cause some complications. Never mind that a lot of my assumptions about overuse no longer seemed accurate.

I always enjoyed this recount from a US citizen that spent some time up in Canada and had to endure our health care system. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/permissiontolive/2012/07/how-i-lost-my-fear-of-universal-health-care.html
