  1. Wasn't that video still pretty lukewarm though? Been a while since I played Gothic 2.
  2. She still turned enough of a cheek for me
  3. While you'll level up slower at higher levels with a few hours of game time per week, you'll still feel you're making progress. The quest dynamic, as well as the different styles of each region, give a solid feeling of progression IMO.
  4. I am actually looking at history, you know how many games in the previews showed nudity to some degree to in the end back peddled on release? Of course if you knew these things then you'd understand my skepticism. Hells even AoC is toning down/covering the women up.. which is totally screwed up but that's another topic. Oh that's right this is bioware they can do no wrong in your world and everything they say or imply is going to be in release will be... How many?
  5. true on the level 30, but with the rate you progress in the levels it's impossible to keep up with the leveling of skills and abilities to the rate that you are increasing in power (I've tried trust me). I ended up sending my horde paladin 40g from my deathknight (who I made AFTER the paladin, but earned 200g by the time he hit hellfire) just to make it so that I could keep up with leveling. Just avoid the auction house and sell the vendor trash and you should have no problems keeping up with your skills. In fact, when I started playing again on a different server (so I couldn't count on people giving me gold) I found it even easier to make money and getting my mount at (then) level 40 was a piece of cake. I found money much harder to accrue back in the day.

Sheldon Souray makes (rightfully so) comments about fans being disrespectful and how he doesn't like to see his friends get verbally attacked when walking from the dressing room to the ice and back. Good on him for having the cajones to actually speak his mind. Respect++ I won't dispute that many fans here in Edmonton are stupid.

    GOilers!
  8. Haha, it did suck that the woman I liked was into the nerdy things too. We watched Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell with my roommate. After we watched a bit of Ranma 1/2 hahaha
  9. I am not sure about the unlimited ammo either, as well as health, but we'll have to see. Will planes and tanks have unlimited ammo? If it's just the soldiers it could be moot, as I found I so rarely ran out of ammo it was never an issue.
  10. Geez, alan, GEEZ. THIS is the cause of all your women problems. This is why all this drama happened in the first place. That's actually not far from the truth haha. She totally wubbed my hawt rogue.
  11. Well, yes, there's a bit of a self-selection problem evident in that only the people with computers sufficiently powerful to run Steam games will use Steam. But pretty much any computer around these days can use Steam. This is certainly a sample space problem, but it's minor enough. I would disagree that it is minor enough. You're asking gamers what their computer specs are, and assuming it is an accurate enough random sample of all computer games? Call me skeptical.
  12. I have no idea (nor looking down at your following post) how you can claim it peaked in the 1990s.
  13. I can't speak for them so I don't know. I have two and have always had two.
  14. Cable and Telephone compete for broadband internet here. I think both are quite common.
  15. The funny thing about Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 was that I can't really put my finger on what made them fun. All I know is that they're both among the top games I have played for fun factor.
  16. It's more hardcore if you don't put spaces in.
  17. Though I was thinking, does Walslingham's girl actually exist? A groovy chick that isn't mental?
  18. Shouldn't this be in Tech Talk!!111
  19. I'm aware of Wrath's scorn towards ME.
  20. Crap game? I thought we were talking about Mass Effect.
  21. I loved Opposing Force
  22. In my bed! Oohhhh yeah.
  23. Rofl that's awesome re: L4D And yeah, Ninja Scroll rofl.
  24. Yes most of that is in sync with what I expected with for the hardware limits. I figured any restriction on the 2^64 possible memory addresses would be either in a limitation in hardware, or software. I agree that we likely will not need to worry about running out of this memory addressing for quite some time, and much of this I knew. I was confused because you had mentioned that 64-bit OSes could address 16 GB, so I was curious what the limit of OSes were, and when you said 4 TB it seemed significantly higher than what I had heard, which was likely the 128 GB version of Vista. But then it seemed you were claiming that that was a limitation of 64-bit in theory (which you now mention was stated in error) and it just made me more confused. My favourite part is when people expect 64-bit computing to be twice as fast as 32-bit computing because there's twice as many bits
