  3. do you even understand why the US is a republic with democratically elected leaders, not a democracy? this statement is an absolute crock. i honestly thought you were smarter than this. ^alanschu: it doesn't even take that many, just a majority of those that actually turn out to vote. taks Touche.
  4. Because people aren't corrupt? Politicians and law-giving judges are people to you know. But hey, if 50%+1 people like something that disadvantages the other 50%-1, then that's cool right?
  5. Tryannies do not require tyrants. Tyrannies of the majority are restricted to democracies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyranny_of_the_majority
  6. Hmm. What does that remind me of? Oh yeah! Libertarianism. As someone who would most likely identify himself as a Libertarian, I'm a bit surprised by this comment.

  8. When you made a comment about what they are doing to the poor Source Engine, it made me believe that your criticisms were directed towards the graphics aspect of the game.
  9. "cheapness" and "generic-ness" are entirely subjective so I can't take any of that away from you. I find the term "generic" is tossed around far too casually however, as it seems as though every game has someone claiming that the graphics are not generic. What exactly are generic graphics, and what constitutes graphics that are not generic? I consider things like animations though, when I say that I wouldn't describe the graphics as "just awful." The only graphical issue I saw as jarring was the first person animation for the close combat weapons (around the 1 minute mark). As for recurring character models...the nice thing about it is that it seems like you're fighting uniformed soldiers (or hellish beasts) so I don't find it that unusual. Perhaps you'd like something like they did in Medieval 2 where they mixed and matched pieces that belonged to a particular uniform?
  10. I guess I can take solace in knowing that I'm not a graphics whore after all. I certainly wouldn't describe the graphics as "just awful."
  11. When he was caught using his mod powers to lure unsuspecting women into the private mod room I suspect.
  12. Heh, I liked VATS, and it never got old for me!
  13. I enjoyed the exploration. In Oblivion I used fast travel all the time. In Fallout 3, hardly ever.
  14. That seems to be the case! Speed things up and play some Benny Hill and things are funny haha.
  15. Oooooo, Chaos Theory is an excellent choice. Unless you don't like awesome games, then you should avoid it.
  16. Mostly I play with my acoustic, and I notice when I go over to the electric I find myself pushing unnecessarily hard on the strings to the point where I end up muting adjacent strings (or sending them into harmonics). Songs I can play quite well are: Wonderwall Hey There Delilah Last Kiss Leaving on a Jet Plane Had some fun with the electric and put on some distortion to mess around with Keep on Rocking in the Free World
  17. I went with the small guns, and then energy weapons as they become more common, and had no issues really at all.
  18. Blood Money is a pretty sweet game.
  19. The thing that is frustrating in that regard is that he essentially succeeded in his mission and was penalized for it because it wasn't quiiiiite quick enough. As a result, the guys randomly and arbitrarily disappeared, which is going to be damned frustrating. It's not like he failed to rescue the objective or that they didn't survive the trip back due to hostile forces.
  20. The Alpine Legend had me in stitches.
  21. I think that's what she's talking about.
