Opening the side chamber will break stealth and make you fight the giant worm, just to note. Actually if u are quick enough u can re-stealth before u get locked into combat and ur safe =) (risky on a TCS run tho unless u have invis or withdrawal) TCS without Invisibility/Withdraw is added difficulty, right? edit: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99417-rogue-cheesing-speedrun-on-potd-with-beraths-blessings-in-2625/ Heh yes for sure. With enough stealth or with any instant movement + withdraw scroll or invis u can avoid the fight

Useful for anyone who will go for the TCS Achievement when they unlock it. First off, sneaking through the entire first Island is recomended. I recommend minimum stealth 5 before digsite. Hylea's Bounty food will help with this. When u depart from Port Maje island buy 400 Water and 400 Hardtrack and sail around the map collecting the insane amount of exp u get for exploring. I highly recomend u pick beraths blessing for the upgraded sail so that u can outrun anyone who wants to engage your ship. Revealed worldmap is convenient too so u can see enemy ships. I have marked all the locations for the exploring exp on a map for your convenience below: With a decent mechanics skill you can collect loads of exp in a place called "Sandswept Ruins" by disarming traps. Location marked on map below: Sail past Sayuka and pick up the Superb Arqeubus from inside Fleetmaster's Office. It is inside a chest with a lvl 7 lock. There is also a superb warhammer inside the longhouse in a chest with a lvl 13 lock, u can pickpocket the key to the chest with a low sleight of hand check, i got the key with only rank 3 sleight of hand. Tikawara: Dunnage: Fort Deadlight: Neketaka - Queens Berth: Neketaka - Periki's Overlook: Neketaka - Serpent's Crown: Neketaka - Sacred Stairs: Neketaka - The Brass Citadel: Neketaka - The Gullet: I will link a few other useful guides here for convenience: For quick and easy gear: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/102943-guide-strong-early-weapons/ For "no-resting bonuses": https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/101300-guide-permanent-bonuses-approach-for-a-no-rest-run/ For finding resources needed for enchantments among other things: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103020-limited-resources-locations/?p=2064079 Credit to all helpful Comments below =) I will continue updating this as i gain more knowledge.

I saw this suggested by Kaylon in a different thread but i couldnt find a thread created for this topic yet so i thought id take the liberty, its a great idea. Rubies: Ruby x3: Locked Chest in the room where Ernezzo keeps the drowners lung (Delvers Row) Ruby x6 inside Sarcophagus in the small room next to Giant Grub boss during "The Cornett's Call" quest. (Old City) Crookspur dungeons, closet by the door to the caverns: ?x Ruby (credit omgFIREBALLS) Rathun (the fire giants) seem to often carry rubies (credit omgFIREBALLS) Sapphires: Sapphire x1: Marihi's Metalwork locked small chest on table (Periki's Overlook) Sapphire x2 Locked Chest inside Arkemyr's Vault (Periki's Overlook) Sapphire x1: Together with the unique stiletto (Azure something) in the Hanging Sepulchers below Sacred Stairs (credit omgFIREBALLS) Magma dragon's hoard: 1x Emerald, 1x Sapphire, 1x Adra Ban (credit omgFIREBALLS) Drowned Barrows, upper floor, chest somewhere to the east: ~1x Sapphire (credit omgFIREBALLS) Emeralds: Drowned Barrows, upper floor, chest by the beds: 3x Emerald (credit omgFIREBALLS) Magma dragon's hoard: 1x Emerald, 1x Sapphire, 1x Adra Ban (credit omgFIREBALLS) x1 Emerald in trapped hidden cupboard behind bar in Kings coffin Dunnage (Credit delgrodel) (Perception check of ~19) x1 Emerald in Sayuka inside a locked chest rank 7, inside Fleet Master's Office X1 Emerald inside Arkemyr's Vault x1 Emerald in the locked and trapped chest behind Mad Morena in the Undercroft Adra Bans: Poko Kohara, Engwithan Titan: ~1x Adra Ban (credit omgFIREBALLS) x1 Adra Ban from Mad Morena area, it was either pickpocketed from Morena herself or inside one of her locked chests. Adra Bans possible drop from Sand Blights (Credit Thundercleese) Random High-Tier Gems: Sleight of Hand check 5 on Mad Morena for a high tier Gem. Random gem inside an armoire in Crookspur Sea Cave. Random gem in the treasure chamber of Ori o Koiki, in the chest furthest from Ruasere Random Gem in Sleight of hand check on Drunken Guard to the right of Ernezzo in Delver's Row. Worth Mentioning: Bloatbelly Eel (needed for a Pukestabber upgrade) spawns in the table on the second floor of The Wild Mare. All other sources seem RNG. (Credit Ophiuchus) Lesser gems can be bought from the Treasure trove in Dunnage and also from a merchant near the southern exit in Serpents Crown. (Im sure there are others as well) Monster parts can be bought from the Dark Cupord and the Alchemy Shop right next to it in Periki's Overwatch. To refresh merchants inventory simply wait 24h.

Aloths leather gives very little, I only used it because I wanted to make the aoe as big as I possibly could. I later changed into the brigandine u get from Beina, immunity to engagement was just too good. U can use whatever armour u want honestly, just make sure u won't die by enemies initial ranged barrage before u have CC'd them all. I do prefer Peter the cat, it gives both dmg and radius. Less recovery never hurt tho.

It's been said here before but it can't be stressed enough. Stack armour bonuses. There's a free legendary heavy armour at crooksbur beach. Go get it! Use whiteleaf like Knownastherat suggested. Staying blooded is not an option unless u take Kaylons advice on potions of final stand and they are quite costly to make (but extremely powerful with high Alch and int).

It does last significantly longer tho and it will heal you through the DoTs duration. If the enemies default location is out of sight when u withdraw it almost always works. There are however a few encounters I've had where nothing will take me out of combat for some reason. Furrante might just be one of those encounters.

Basically, the true difference between veteran and potd is that on potd u have to go all in on getting ACC. Ur ACC will either make or break your game. This is the reason the starter isle is so hard as well. Ur defence vs enemy ACC is **** and ur ACC vs enemies defense is ****. The longer u get into the game the more this will pan out and this is why it gets significantly easier. Spells are crapmode without serious ACC boosters such as Deadeye or potions throughout the entire game tho. IMHO!

Yeah I tried something similar. Made a helwalker/magran priest. The idea was to get capped Int and +beneficial effect duration effects, let enemies swarm and cast barring deaths door and use fire aoes such as shining beacon on my position while also stacking near death/bloodied effects (human, bloody links,). I stopped playing it at lvl 14 because I'd need lvl 16 before I could stack enough immortality time for it to work and that's too high lvl to be waiting for something imo. Also I was disappointed in the spells, even with the ring of fire the ACC was crap and I didn't want to use alchemy. Edit: Also lvling him was a nightmare...
