Sure, but since it would leave only 1 PL for Single Class, I would suspect this to be slighly OP. Mayble PL 8 should cost both PL 6 & 7 and even limited access to PL 5 (a single pick). Many classes have incredible goodies at lower levels (sneak attack, FoD, Duality, Frenzy, defensive illusion, Devotion...) It would definitely need some balance - certain combinations would indeed be op. But IMO, the base game is too easy, while some of the mega bosses can force you into specific builds and playstyles. More options would infusion some creativity and increase replay value.

I also don't play with AI. I occasionally cast it, more so with a martial caster. Finding that I very rarely get targeted with anything relevant to be reflected. Not sure if it plays a deterrent role in AI scripting though. It is possible that I don't get targeted exactly because I have cast it. Edit: FS was one of the places where I was getting targeted - by missile salvo, which is pretty devistating. Once cast I did not get targeted and mostly steam rolled through that part.

That could make for an interesting Halloween party...complete with smoke machine. I'm a bit curious about trying a pacifist run with a bloodmage/beckoner low might high crit build. Focus on skeletons, essence interuptor, and arkemyr's brilliant departure to avoid directly killing as much as possible. Perhaps roleplayed as trying to repopulate the deadfire. Though, deadfire is not as friendly to pacifism as POE was. (if this is hard to read, I'm on phone and not sure why font is so small. Forum keeps flipping from mobile to desktop version as well. Strange)

The current turn based mechanics make blood mage a great pick - it is essentially a few action, and you can heal right after in the same turn. As you can see action order, it is also much easier to assess risk exposure as well. IMHO, blood mage is better in turn based mode than in rtwp. However, my bet is that those mechanics are going to get overhauled quite a bit in the near future. (that being said, my turn based game kept crashing so I gave up relatively early to await a future patch)

This thread just makes me miss spelltongue and Poe carnage - I don't always want to multiclass a wizard. Any chance there is a mod that reintroduces POE weapons?

The easiest way would be to play in a party. Dichotomous soul is the only source of summons there, and it comes pretty late in a multiclass. I think the builds fine if you want to impose some artificial restrictions on your play style - that can make combat more interesting. Personally, I find soloing `easier` than party play exactly because I am forced to make clear strategies and objectives. With a party I tend to get lazy and make mistakes. Regardless - It's a monk, so your not going to be weak by any means.

I second the Tekahu recommendation. Though, I would suggest multiclassing as a druid/chanter - imo it makes for a more versatile character. Serafan's Cypher kit should probably be avoided if playtime is a major consideration. If your only planning on doing one playthrough, I would also suggest dabbling in other companions for certain quests - and picking single classes when they are recruited as you'll get to experience more of the class content within your time constraints. I will upload a save when I am next at my computer. As for the quick save/load issue you referenced, I was unaware of it. However, it is quite possible that could be the issue here as I have quick loaded accidentally several times after getting a new keyboard with inconveniently located macro keys. Thank you for the prompt reply.

I have repeatedly had an issue where Maneha loses all of her equipment after removing her from the party. Additionally, the game has spawned a duplicate of both her and Eder - who was sacrificed to the blood pool, but continues to stand around the hanging tree. In the referenced save, Maneha has just been re-added to the party, is missing her equipment, and is standing next to a duplicate of her herself in the Goose and Fox tavern. She had originally been removed from the party at this location, and the problems persist when she is re-added to the party at other locations. Additionally, if I kill the Maneha clone with Maneha in my party, she drops her quick slot items as loot and the game notify's me that I have failed her quest. I am playing the GOG version, updated to 3.01 after a fresh install of 3.0. *I cannot upload a save because your upload limit is 507kb and my save is 7057kb*
