  1. As far as I know, everything. It is like a carnage that only deals crush damage.
  2. I think the whole game was designed with priests in mind. Or at least that is how I explain to myself why those fish-people on the White March kill me every time.
  3. The same weapon focus gives you mastery over flails, estocs and wands. Honestly, it wouldn't shatter my suspension of disbelief even more if it applied to a greatsword or mace bound to my character's soul.
  4. I think that applies to any stat, except maybe DEX after you reach the point everything is pratically instant anyway.
  5. I thought he was a paladin... What about Legolas as the cipher? There is no such a thing as a non-magical elf in Middle-Earth. Ok, there may be, but still, someone has to be their cipher!
  6. Truly? I was under the impression that the LoTR wizards, despite being celestial spirits, were still limited to the nature of their humanlike bodies and capable of dying to regular wounds. That is why they need to self-buff .
  7. While I wouldn't get rid of Edér, I wouldn't mind having a squire or a merchant with a donkey following the party, fleeing from monsters while carrying our stuff and being snarky about it all. EDIT: and I wouldn't mind having loot simply disappear, as long as we are given time to loot before being teleported by cutscenes(looking at you Darzir. Almost forgot to pick up your ring of changing heart.)
  8. As far as I know, it is both. When I have two characters engaged to the same foe, who is only engaged to one of them, but next to one another, there is no flanking. When I have two characters engaging o foe from opposite directions, but he is also engaging both, there is no flanking.
  9. Main issue I think would be the extremely low Con (if you completely dumped it). You could just die from a single AOE; particularly if you fight in melee range. Also, even with zero recovery speed, high dex is still really good and better than might for a DPS rogue (self healing consideration aside). It still makes your actions 3% faster for each action since it makes the actual attack animation faster. That said, rogues have tons of abilities that benefit greatly from INT, PER, and RES, so I agree that it can totally work and might even be the best stat line (as long as you don't completely ditch con). Really, you can't go wrong with any distribution unless you have a specific "Gimmick" character build that synergies items and stats in crazy ways, and even then it will only be a little sub-optimal. You don't need to fully ditch CON. Lowering it and MIG to 7 is enough. But anyway, it is a fringe build made for getting high mental stats, and it is not something I'd recommend to a newcomer, only something made to prove a certain character archetype is possible, if less than effective. EDIT: if I was into minmaxing, I would fully dump MIG to have a little more DEX. I think it could be more effective that way.
  10. Awesome! I will respec my Fighter hireling(whom I was already playing with 16 INT before WM2) into this build after I unlock the necessary items and abilities. And nice to see you liked my "Glass Tsunami" suggestion .
  11. I think your main tank should be a paladin, and your offtank DPS a fighter. Paladins can have some nice burst, but can't really be built for DPS, while fighters are pratically made to be tanky damage dealers. A two-handed weapon is perfect for a offtank, and greatswords are awesome. On your secondary slot, you can fit an arquebus for alpha-strike or a pike when you are on the wrong side of a chokepoint. Also, you would do good by checking sone of the more recent builds in this forum. The guide by nerdcommando, while good and detailed, is somewhat misleading and overestimates the power of minmaxing.
  12. I think that Unbroken is too generic. How about "Glass Tsunami", since it is a glass cannon that may as well be made of water, considering how pointless is to try to hurt him. Or perhaps "Wolverine", if you aren't above Marvel references.
  13. Wound Binding. Did you just make Wound Binding look like a potentialy useful talent?
  14. It only allows you to take items from the stash in towns or when resting, but still allows you to put items in the stash.
  15. I think it is possible. Escape, for exemple, does not break stealth, so you could teleport to behind the enemies when the fight begins. If it isn't possible, there is still Shadowing Beyond.
  16. Escape is useful at low levels. Not many classes get the ability to basically teleport per-encounter at level three, and it doens't even break stealth. Yes, it is something one would respec out of later, so it needs a small buff, but it isn't useless. The refresh on kill idea sounds like an awesome to make it better.
  17. Can't comment on Shadowstep, but I've found Escape to be a very fun ability, even if suboptimal, since it doens't break stealth.
  18. Mayyybe. Said character is supposed to be more of a youn noblewoman with a machiavellian streak who got involved in a conspiracy too big for her and fled to Dyrwood. Whatever I give her the hat ir not depends on how much I like Sanguine Plate, since I don't think both will look good together.
  19. Thanks for the tips, Boeroer. Maybe(only maybe) I will respec after getting those items, it is just that March Steel Dagger and Sword of Daenesys can be aquired very early. EDIT: plus, warhammers don't fit the looks I was going for to complement this build's gameplay, so I will most likely not respec.
  20. The point is that Dexterity speed modifier is multiplicative with "recovery reduction damage multiplier". By cumulating the two, you'll get a really crazy attack speed. But for sure, you'll be dealing "enough" damage with your build idea. But dextery reduces the "final" action time, right? It was something like (Final Time)=(Action Time)/(1+DEX Multiplier), so if your action time is already very low because of low recovery, DEX contributes less to your damage. I am not saying this build will do top DPS, just that it will still do a good amount of damage and also unlock a lot of options. EDIT: Just tried to test this in POTD, and the glanfathan in tge tutorial are actualy able to kill me. I guess I overvalued the speed of dual wielding fast weapons. But I will keep testing.
  21. Dual wielding light weapons should be enough for this rogue in act one, and in Act 2 you can get Sword of Daenesys and March Steel dagger very early, so I don't see much going wrong. Plus, this isn't a solo build. I just need to avoid those xaurip stunlockers
  22. It is technically possible, since the only stats Rogues generally need to deal damage are PER and DEX, and depending on your gear(speed enchantments, durgan steel) the later also becomes optional to increase, giving you a lot of points to put on things like RES and maybe CON.
  23. Yeah, Rogues are able to get so much damage multipliers it is ridiculous. Actualy, I am currently basing a character on the very idea that so many damage multipliers make Might unnecessary, and getting zero, or next to zero recovery from gear makes DEX unnecessary, so one can have a damage dealing rogue with 18 in all mental stats.
  24. Well, for one, rogues can use gear. It may not sound like much, but it is a distinct advantage as you go trough the game. Not only that, but Sneak Attack doens't have a time limit after which it stops working.
