  1. Erm, Vader turned back - that's why he killed the Emperor... Luke did too in the Dark Empire comic books. In many of the recent books, Luke mentions that he has a special point of view on the dark side, since he fell and rose back to the light. OK - on topic - the Star Wars movies do not start with a peaceful "lets wander around and see what kind of trouble we can get into" mood ... they all begin with crisis and conflict ... Obi Wan and Qui Gonn on the Trade Federation ship, failed assassination attempt on Padme, Leia fleeing from Vader, the Rebel HQ found and assaulted on Hoth (OK - an extremely long opening sequence, but the main plot doesn't 'really' start until Luke takes his detour), "the gang" freeing Solo from Jabba ... OK - now really on topic - I think one possible "opening sequence" in K3 could be a power struggle, with the protaganist caught in the middle, between the remaining Jedi and Sith and their newly recruited and barely trained followers ... and how the player chooses to act determines how the beginning of the game unfolds ... so my vote is for "none" - there have been four major conflicts in the past two or so decades, with crazy losses on both sides ... now both the Jedi and Sith are struggling to establish their place in the galaxy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I kinda like your approach at an opening. And glad to see this topic is still running. Hmm, well, in any case, LucasArts usually does a good job of thinking up some interesting twists and turns in the storyline, so I imagine what we'll see in Kotor 3 will be a little differant then anyone's guessed thusfar. But personally, I hope to see some Jedi splendor, because really, the Sith kinda had it all bagged up in the first two, weakening the Jedi in the first one, and pretty much wiping them out in the second. In both cases, the Jedi were getting pwnd. I would like to see the Jedi come back and deal a blow to the Sith (If you choose that path) instead of getting whooped every time, which really isnt fair to the Jedi side of things, considering they wern't exactly pushovers.
  2. Hmm, been a while since I played, but yes, some crystal/lens variations yeild very high results. I wish I could give you some specifics, but I'm a little out of touch in this matter, sorry.
  3. This may sound pretty basic, but have you updated the game? Also, you might try fiddling with some of the video options a bit and see if that doesnt help. I'm certain others will be along who will give a more detailed explination on how to help you out, sit tight.
  4. None, I'm a Jedi Master to the core
  5. Of course the Light Side is better... So says Jedi Master Benjamin Korr!
  6. You're kidding right? lol Jolee Bindo was able to take her down. If thats the case then I suppose that we ought to give this contest to good ole Bindo.
  7. Never did find the blasted ever sought after Solari crystal. Except once, I found it on Darth Sion's body, but at that time it was almost pointless to have, and I got it on the one time I played DS.... So meh, they better make it possible to find it on Kotor 3.
  8. Jedi Academy SP was lame. But the MP was awesome. I am a member of a role playing community that uses JA as their base, here's a link to our forums, we'd be happy to have you join up. http://s13.invisionfree.com/The_RPG_Zone/index.php?act=idx
  9. I wouldnt call that a mutation. I would call it an adaptation. If an animal is introduced into a colder climate, they will grow longer fur/hair to compensate. And if placed in a hot environment, they grow shorter hair. Gods design for survival.
  10. Yeah, kinda what I was thinking.
  11. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My thoughts exactly....
  12. Meh, try playing without any one of them, see how far you get. But I vote for wisdom. Seems to be the one I always focus on.
  13. I liked TPM because it was nostelgic feeling, knowing you were going back to a grander age of the Jedi then what you saw in the origional trillogy. And the fact that it had a certain charm to it. I vote for The Phantom Menace.
  14. Aye, the bunch of undecided heratics make one sick.
  15. I would be hard pressed to vote for my favorite ever SW game, though I did vote for Kotor 1 in the poll. Some of my other favorites include: X-Wing Alliance Kotor 2 Jedi Academy (Multi Player) Star Wars Empire at War
  16. Considered it I have, and there is no doubt the advantages in the Gray side. I personally am a hard core LS player, the powers are more heroic in style and I just like the LS storyline better. But yes, each side has its advantages, Grey being kind of like the Sentinal of the sides of the force. I would say Dark is likened to a Jedi Guardian, The Light side to a Jedi Consular, and the Grey side to a Sentinal. Grey offering more balance and whatnot, touching both sides, mastering none. Dark being more powerful and aggressive. And the Light tending more towards knowledge and wisdom. So whichever suits you, I always liked the Consular myself. :D
  17. Any proof? Sorry, facts suggests otherwise " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He did not master sith muarader rage as Windu did. He did not master the greatest and most powerful lightsaber form ever. mace Windu did. He was hurt many times before. He can not find the exact weakness in a foe as Windu can. He does not have the lightsaber crystals of pwoer like the Exile and Windu do. The exile can use foce storm and force crush. He can use force powers EASILY as great as Lukes. A lvl 50 sith lord exile that has a GOOD build would defeat Luke. Windu and Sith Muarader Exile would own luke in a saber duel. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your statement is invalid. Because the Exile can be as weak or as powerful as you want him to be. If you say you have a level 200 Exile, then yeah, he probobly will be a little uber. But what if I played the game through as a level 10? Then what? When you have a non established char, you cant compare him with an established char.
  18. isnt he that bloke in final fantasy 7 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats what i thought and by the way... jerk-phiroth isnt a jedi <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly =P Obi Wan IS good character, Benjamin Korr. One of My favorites <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good to be flying with you Red 5
  19. No, it shows how much of a presumptuous pawn of the darkside you are, because in the first place, I would not call those Jedi on Eps 3 "True Jedi" And your statement about how weak the lightside is cause a fully aligned lightsider can fall.... The truth of the matter is, is that you cannot be in perfect alignment with either side. But if you wanted to argue and say that you can, then tell me the Jedi that has achieved perfect lightside status and has fallen.
  20. There is simply no contest here, HK-47 FTW!
  21. I've heard this rumor as well, and I also hear they may be revealing it at the E3 conference coming up. Still only a rumor though.
  22. I vote for Obiwan. Not because he is so uberly powerful, nor because he is so terribly good with a lightsaber. Though he is quite good at both, there is more to a person then these things. No-body tops Obiwan for character. If I could be one person from the SW universe, it would be Obi without hesitiation. Obiwan has bested some of the most terrible villans in his time, including Darth Vader (I realise he lost later, but consider the fact he was just there to stall him, he had no intention of winning) General Grievous (Who bested many Jedi of reknown) Darth Maul, and other noteable chars from the EU. Also, you just gotta love Obiwans personality, from quotes like "Sith Lords, are our speciality" To "Use the force Luke" (Probobly one of the most well remembered quotes from ANY Star Wars film) If you look over all the Star Wars movies, I think you can see, that in a way its all based around Obiwan to some degree. He and Anakin are the only two characters in every one of the 6 films. He has had large dealings in almost everything that has taken place, from the beginning of Episode 1 where he and Quigon invade the Trade Federation ship, to Episode 6, where he helps Luke with his personal struggles. So yeah, I think Obiwan is the best character in the Star Wars universe, and please dont reply with a lame "Well Palpy would have just fryed him" reply, because in all literalism, there is more to a character then how uber he is in the force. Obiwan Kenobi FTW!!! :D
  23. Poor fool, you have been terribly decived. The light will sustain you and grant you wisdom, darkness leads only to suffering. Come back to the light freind, here you are always welcome... Personally, I hate doing DS on Kotor, I feel lousy after doing so. There is just no gratification in killing people like that. And as for the DS powers pwning light.... Much to learn, you still have.
  24. Meh, I threw Nilihus in there above Vader because of his vast reaching force hunger. But I suppose it would be somewhat fair to place Anakin above Nilihus. Though I still doubt when people speak of Anakin and Luke being as strong as they are made out to be. In their time they were exteremely powerful, yet when Luke met Exar Qun's ghost, Qun threw him against a wall and about killed him without hesitation. So I wouldnt say Luke is the strongest by a long shot.
  25. Questionable? Perhaps... If your name is Atris, who was a lousy excuse for a Jedi in the first place. But if your name is sayyyyy Obiwan Kenobi, or maybe even Benjamin Korr Differant story.
