  1. Character with which I would prefer to actually have along with me in real life? Jolee Bindo. Character who has no sense of tactics or imagination what-so-ever? Bandon. Most ruthless, though perhaps lacking in a few key areas? (Such as alignment with the lightside ) Malak. Worst character of all time? Jar Jar (With the exception of Jedi Academys "Rosh Penin") Oh and for Atton? Well I was neither impressed, nor really disappointed with this character. He had some good lines, like "If they hit us we're dead, but if they keep missing us we're dead! Great odds..." And "Are you an angel? Oh man, sorry, thats my worst line. Hope some poor kid doesnt start useing it" lol. But overall, meh, I wasn't super impressed with him. He rates a 6.
  2. No, frankly it doesnt mate. Just cause a forum admin from Obsidian says "We are not working on Kotor3" does not prove that the game is not under-way. Obsidian might not even be the ones to make the game, so if thats the case then "duh" of course we havnt started on it cause we're not even gonna be the ones to make it! Not saying there is no way he's right, I'm just saying there is no way you can KNOW that the game isnt under-way as we speak.
  3. In all fairness thats just your opinion. We dont know if there has been work done on it, you dont know that there hasnt. And you cant say "Well if there was work being done on it we'd know" as proof. So just for the sake of fairness, I'm correcting your statement Personally, I think the reason we havnt heard from LA about Kotor3 yet, is because it's going to be something alot bigger then anyone thinks. I think they're gonna do something that will define the Kotor series as the ultimate game in Star Wars history. Not to mention making it the biggest series to continue with for the future. I think they're gonna do something in Kotor 3 that will allow them to continue on to make several more titles of the game. Maybe they'll do something where Revan gets transported into the waaaay future, or who knows what. But I think its gonna blow everyones socks off when it comes out, and I dont think Kotor 3 will be the last title in the Kotor series.
  4. When you say you just updated them, do you mean with the CD that came with the card? Or from the internet? If you mean by the CD, well then thats probobly your problem. You either need to get that computer hooked up to the internet and update em, or you need to download the files on another computer that is online, and then transfer them to your computer and install. The likelyhood is, is that your drivers are a bit out of date and so they dont support the Open GL properties of your card like they should. I've seen that message a bunch of times when my card's drivers were out of date. I cant assure you thats the problem, but its definately a good place to start. If you can get your computer online I would also suggest patching the game. You can do that right from the start-up menu, it's an automatic process once you tell it to check for updates. Oh and as far as wondering "How does it know that when I'm not even online?". Well, its not that your computer is telling you they're out of date, the game is. It's looking for the video properties it needs to run the game and it cant find em. So untill it can, you'll keep getting those error messages. My advice: Next time buy a GeForce But meh, thats just me, alot of people like ATI's. So anyway, goodluck getting it up and running. When you do get it fixed, I hope you enjoy the game. Oh and welcome to the Obsidian forums!
  5. When the first dark Jedi landed on Korriban, they were exiled from the Republic so they had few places to go, and no-where to call home. Then they found the Sith species, enslaved them, and eventually took the Sith's name as their own. The two differant societies became one. Eventually the slaves pretty much died off, and so now all you have left are your dark Jedi who took the name of Sith because they had none of their own. And of course I'm sure there were a few real Sith still among the dark Jedi. The few who showed ability in the force. Aka Marka Ragnos. But these "True Sith" who really were of the Sith race and could use the force, were no more extra-ordinarily powerful then any other force user. So yeah, there are "True Sith" And hey maybe even a couple of em can use the force! But it would be like me saying "I'm going to seek the "TRUE HUMANS" because the "TRUE HUMANS" are sooooo powerful with the force." The species doesnt matter. There are Humans that use the force, there are Sith that use the force, but the race doesnt determine how strong or deadly they are.
  6. Or at least an anurism And meh, whats so bad about Luke being a force ghost? I think Hamill did a lousy job of portraying him, he acts a little to wimpy for my standards. But the book character of Luke is actually pretty cool. And him being a force ghost just means he'll be around forever
  7. Can I join as Jedi Master Benjamin Korr, completely obliterate your Sith order and send it back from whence it came? Oh wait, off topic. Back to your lives citizens.
  8. Aye good point. And that whole thing about "The True Sith" just makes me sick. Think about it. The "True Sith" were the generally non-force sensitive species living on Korriban when the first "Dark Jedi" were exiled from the Republic by the Jedi Order. Upon arriving at Korriban they enslaved these "Awesomely powerful True Sith" and made them do all their labor for them. Somehow, I feel that if a Jedi were to compete in combat with one of these "True Sith" the greatest fear he'd have to face is making sure he didnt get hit with a brick trowel or a shovel or something. Because those "True Sith" had no special force endowment, nor any overly powerful physical attributes. Just alot of misconception on the part of imaginative players.
  9. For a droid who cant be defeated, he has an abnormal weakness towards getting pencils jammed into his actuators and thus forcing him to shut down. Not to mention losing his assasin protocals.
  10. Heres what would happen... 3PO and HK-47 meet by some random freak accourance, they exchange a few short words and insults (The insults coming mostly from 47 of course) 3PO resonds "How rude!" and begins to walk away, HK in disgust raises his blaster rifle and takes aim. But as we all know how lucky 3PO tends to be when walking across a room filled with blaster shots and not getting hit, he would un-intentionally evade HK's every shot, causing HK to become frusterated and begin to fire more rapidly and randomly. HK would hit a near-by cable that would then break causing a massive piece of metal, previously supported by the cable, to come swinging down on him and thus crush him into spare parts. Then one of Yuka Laka's decendants would approach the scene and would scavange his spare parts, rebuild him, and HK's journey would start all over again... 3PO on the other hand would continue to walk away, clueless to the fact that he was just being shot at. Perhaps he would turn around after walking a bit and see HK in a scrap pile, and say something like "Well that serves him right"
  11. HK-47 for 2 reasons. 1 I just like his personality, and 2 because he's about the only person I ever have use ranged weaps. So yeah, do the math
  12. Yeah what can a multi-billion corporation possibly do against that? And heres something I forgot to mention. Think about this. Kotor 1 =2003 Kotor 2 = 2004 And now we're saying that Kotor 3 = 2010??? A few problems there. First off, theres no way it takes 6 years to make a game. Second, by the time we get to 2010, the generation that played Kotor 1 and 2 will be much older, some will be adults who dont have the time for these games. Now you've got a problem. Because now you bring out Kotor 3 and give it to a generation who has barely any knowledge of the first 2, its not gonna sell as well as to a Kotor hungery generation. So yeah, I'm thinking we're looking at a 2007 release. Early 2008 at latest. And you can quote me on that.
  13. Luke against the two of them? Hmm, thats tough. I'm gonna say Luke because, while it seems like 2 highly powerful enemies would be difficult, Luke wasnt your typical Jedi Knight or ect... For example, when Anakin and Obi fought Dooku (And Dooku was nothing terrificly special although he certainly wasnt a push over) Dooku beat them both the first time and then beat Obi the second time, all this time with 2 opponants. Luke now is alot more powerful then Dooku in his prime, and neither Revan or Palpy are in the liniage of "The chosen one". So yeah, I'm gonna give it to Luke. If you read about him in his prime, you find he's pretty rediculously powerful.
  14. Ok well, I can understand that, but I think he would have to come in second. Please tell me he's better then Rosh Penin (Forgive my language)
  15. Aye, one thing you said mate, I REALLY hope that they dont write our characters history for us like they did the last two times. Both times we had a character that was already hated by some and loved by others. For once I would like to make the choises that determine who likes and dislikes my character rather then to have it all pre-written for me and thus limit me in several areas with choises made by my character that I would have never made personally. So yeah, how about a little more control over our past, helps us influence our destiny that much more
  16. The main bonus to having the Solari crystal in your saber that wasn't listed, is the bonus it gives you when fighting with a DS character. Thats when this crystals metal is really shown.
  17. Heres what I think. I think the original idea was for the game to have all that content. Then they decided to cut the HK factory, maybe they didnt have time to finish it. Then in the hassle to get it assembled in time, perhaps they forgot to smudge out a few little over-sights like the factory. And it's likely that time was also the reason we didnt see what happens to your party on Malachore and other little mistakes.
  18. The perfect crystal combo eh? This is easy Green color crystal (Simple enough, yet regal and distinguished) Solari power crystal (If you can find it) And a Pontite focusing crystal. (If you cant find it I pity you )
  19. Anyone thinking what I'm thinking??? WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH KOTOR?!?! lol Ok not that big a deal, but seriously, this isnt the merc forum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what pop said. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, I follow you now. Sorry about that. :">
  20. I love these two ideas lol <{POST_SNAPBACK}> #9 Never never never never take us back to Nar-Shada or Telos for that matter.
  21. Anyone thinking what I'm thinking??? WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH KOTOR?!?! lol Ok not that big a deal, but seriously, this isnt the merc forum.
  22. That would definately be a nice feather in a Danish scientists cap. Or any scientists cap for that matter. Certainly could use a breakthrough like that about now. But yeah, I dont think its nearly as bad as anyones making it out to be.
  23. Aye I saw that too lol. I wasnt real impressed either with their lack of spelling ability. But typo's happen, and I just hope they knew what they were talking about when they said Kotor 3 is on its way.
  24. http://www.xboxcircle.com/news/lucasarts_q...on_sequels.html A quote from IGN's page. Of course its not really official, but its good news for those of us still holding our breath.
  25. I hope, and am sure, that we'll see Revan again. But as for the Exile, I could care less if we never saw her again. (I say her cause thats the decided canon gender for the Exile.)
