  1. Well, at least in my case, it's not the porn per se but more the censorship.
  2. Wow... Again, you have completely missed the point. I don;' think anyone here is saying that a person has the right to shove porn in your face but if someone is watching porn on their PSP/phone/iPod/netbook and you purposely look at their screen then you, and not the watcher, are the one at fault. Frankly, as you mentioned, there are already public decency laws in most countries and so I fail to see why you're, again, making such a big deal about the hypothetical porn-on-a-phone scenario as it would be covered under those if the person was really being that disruptive. But, hey, maybe you're just more intune with what people do on their phones than I am (I've never been that interested in other people's phones).
  3. They aren't? Opps, I guess I was mistaken about that point.
  4. I would hope so, if not then I'll ask a few people I know if they'd be interested in working on another NWN 2 project.
  5. I'm almost positive that this error has been caused, although it might not the issue in your case, by newer nVidia drivers in the past. You might want to roll-back to an earlier one to see if that is, in fact, the problem.
  6. Did you try rolling-back the drivers and have you uninstalled the game and then made sure that all of the information was gone before trying a re-install?
  7. Have you tried a link exchange?
  8. I believe that the BioWare forums, the place that hosts the official Mask of the Betrayer forum, were closed when the new social site was launched. Not really, but it does sound like a bug.
  9. ****, that does suck. I hope things get better for you. I'd be up for either one of those options. It's a good card, congrats.
  10. There was, as mentioned in the article, an emulation-type "crack" -that is to say not a real crack- out in the first week or so. Also, new DRM schemes, and I mean really new ones and not just SecuROM 8.1 instead of 8.0, tend to take longer to crack but, once that is done, end up being day-zeroed for later releases.
  11. Not unless you use an older or modded PhysX driver, although at this point it seems that while software PhysX is gaining steam hardware-enabled PhysX is stagnating. Considering that it preforms as well, and sometimes better, than the GTX 260 while also running cooler, quieter, and drawing less power the lack of a possibly dying feature seems a moot point. Not that PhysX isn't impressive when used, but unless it becomes more mainstream I cannot see justifying buying a worse card for that one thing (I just bought a 5770 after going through the same process and will likely pick up a second one later this year).
  12. I'm sure you'll find plenty of liberal people who know how to shoot - in fact there are even left-wing militias (not that they're any better than the right-wing ones).
  13. For the price the 5770 is a better deal (although the 260 isn't that bad, just make sure you get the Core 216 version and not the older one).
  14. True, but that's sort of like saying that not all KKK members are that raciest - some might not be but they're the tiny, tiny minority.
  15. Ubisoft's DRM has been cracked (and this time it's not just an emulation of the server). I suspect that any new releases will be rendered DRM-free within a day or so of the release, if not on the day of the release, from now on.
  16. In his mind it seems to be questionable. Frankly I think Apple should set up an adult section of their store and be done with it but that's likely not going to happen (iirc there used to be one and then it got shut down - but I might be wrong as I really don't keep up with the app store as I don't have a device that uses Apple applications).
  17. Argg... I hope not.
  18. The phone part of the iPhone, maybe. The questionable applications part of the iPhone, I would suspect not. I think the main issue here is that you are making the case that it's wrong to have porn on a phone because it might be used in public while the rest of us, or at least most of us, are saying that if porn was being viewed in public it would be the user's fault and not the porn's.
  19. You see to be saying that if there is porn on the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch a large number of people will view it in public, is that correct? If so, what makes you think that this will be the case?
  20. I'm going to run through Bloodlines again.
  21. True, more people watch South Pack but that does not mean that South Park is a better work of satire or that make Swift's work is "lame." But I guess that gets down to a difference of opinion about what makes "brilliant satire" and that's something we might have to agree to disagree about.
  22. I would disagree, it might be outdated, as far as issues go, but it is not at all "lame" - it remains a classic satire. The age of the work really doesn't directly effect the quality.
  23. I guess you missed that A Modest Proposal was written in 1729 by Johnathan Swift and dealt with what was then a "modern day problem" (the situation faced by the Irish poor). But, yeah, I still say that Swift is better than South Park and while you're free to disagree with me I cannot think of why you would call AMP "lame."
  24. No. A Modest Proposal is, quote, "brilliant satire" and South Park is nowhere as good.
