Humm... That's odd. Maybe I'm having to go through the entire process because I'm on a wireless system and thus the wireless LAN is always on-line.

Gabe Newell says DRM increases piracy. The Highlights via kotaku.- Can torrent sites be prosecuted.
EDIT: Except your local game doesn't require you to validate your CD-Key on a central server. No, it does. It goes through the same server as every other Neverwinter Nights multiplayer game. I'm not sure how much clearer I can be but for some reason this is not getting through to you - A "LAN" game of Neverwinter Nights has to go through the exact same process as a "regular" multiplayer game of Neverwinter Nights, key check and all.- Can torrent sites be prosecuted.
That is your belief and in this case we will have to agree to disagree.- Conservative "Mass effect" Blogger Ruterns...

It uses the same system, as I said in my post, as it does with a true on-line game. You are essentially creating a local on-line game that is password protected. EDIT:- Can torrent sites be prosecuted.
I'm going to beg to differ, or, rather, my personal experience LANing with NWN* (a game that checks the CD/DVD keys even if you want to LAN) has proved otherwise. *I have two legit versions and had three players, thus I had to re-use one set of keys on that PC (it was still my PC).- Fallout 3
It's also a very, very poorly run site. I would never recommend it if I had a choice, but it's basically a monopoly when it comes to Fallout 3 mods. So, if you use it, I say instead: Do not ever, ever comment, rate, or otherwise post any opinion about a mods - be a good or bad. Nor should you use the forum.- What are you playing now?
Yeah, it seems the hardest bit of land to infect.- What you did today
I think it's natural, you are confronted by a young person in a possibly bad situation and you want to change it.- Can torrent sites be prosecuted.
I've known people who only pirated a game due to its DRM, although I think that should ahve just bought a copy and then used a crack (that's what I did with my boxed copy of Mass Effect).- Fallout 3
There's a mod that fixes that issue, thus enabling you to play past the "end" of the game.- What are you playing now?
Pandemic II - fun game, although I haven't managed to wipe out the entire world yet.- Dragon Age Discussion
Only because they could have been sued for libel several times over.- Dragon Age Discussion
That's sigworthy!- Dante's Inferno
You know, I get the feeling that the game is going to be quite a bit different from the book...- I really don't understand the ESRB
There is a full frontal nude scene in 28 Days later, I'm re-watching it now and it's at the very beginning when he has just woken up.- Embarrassing question

What's wrong with it?- How to LAN in L4D...
Here is how to play Left 4 Dead in a LAN with one or more Steam Accounts: 1) Download and install Left 4 Dead, either from Steam or a DVD, on all of the PCs you are going to use. 2) Download the Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead Dedicated Server on one of the PCs. 3) Run the Left 4 Dead Dedicated Server and enter your settings (I would run it in LAN mode but it works either way). 4) Switch every Steam account to its "offline" status, providing you are going to re-use it/them. 5) Run Left 4 Dead on all of the PCs. 6) Go into the game menu and then the keyboard configuration - enable the console. 7) Go back to the main menu and press the Tilde ("~") key to open the console. Type "openserverbrowser" to open the "classic" server browser. 9) Select the "LAN" tab. 10) Click "Connect." 11) Enjoy the game!- Any good games coming out?
Well, I have a friend who is a God Of War fanatic (she bought a PS3 so she could play the upcoming installment -and the old ones, she bought early so hers can play PS2 discs- even though she uses the PC for everything else) so I'll have a review as soon as it's available. - DRM Thread
