What are you playing now?
If you drink blood you will, paradoxically -and I recommend getting mods to fix this odd system-, look human but be weaker. Yes, Bio's vampires get stronger when they go hungry.

What you did today
It looks like I'll be seeing it tonight as well. Or at lest I'm going to try to. Anyways, I started a Vampire: The Masquerade Pen-and-Paper game today. I'm playing a Malkavian and a Nagaraja. and the badger! Yes, and a badger.

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
Steam uses 1.005 IIRC. EDIT: 1.006 was leaked and thus Steam has not applied it.

What are you playing now?
You should IF you have the mods that make you not look like a Nosferatu-reject.

Can't run XP... WTF?
It's a load of crap. Or course, I would recommend tweaking Vista and making sure all the malware the laptop might have shipped with is gone before installing the new OS... Or you might try Ubuntu...

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
I'll get you some/ Let me just backtrack to find out where I got the mods I use, that I did not make -I have a highly tweaked version of Oblivion Lost installed on this PC and it's both awesome and unstable due to my messing around-, from...

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
THat would be so cool if someone made a resoration of this game!!! The Oblivion Lost team sounds like they are planning to see if they can "rip" data out of this version and port it to the released game. There are already a couple of mods that do that. This build has a lot more content that was cut in the later versions. Other then that, not much.

Slightly off-topic, but isn't that a quote from Marx? Not that that is a bad thing...

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
It is worth playing, although you will need to either tweak the game yourself or download fixes to get everything working. Is it different from the released version of SOC? Or just less polished? It has some, if not all -I'm not sure how much is left in this build-, of the cut content including at-least six-ten new levels.

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
Here's a torrent of the build. I didn't upload it but I'll most likely not do that now that there are others available. EDIT: If the file is not allowed, please delete it. I am not trying to flaunt the rules by posting this.

Or buy it off Steam, SoC has no extra DRM, or get a boxed version. It's only about $10 in most shops IIRC.

"Original" 2004 Build Of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Released
It is a legal, free release from a developer. The original mirror is on their website and I fail to see why a release of a free product, well it's sort of a mod, though a torrent -so it has faster speeds- would be encouraging piracy. I think this actually highlights one of the major issues with torrent sites is that they, in fact, have legitimate uses as well as less-than-legal ones.
