Yes with empower. But empower is a neutral concept. For casters AND for melee. Except if it is a wish from devs, I am bored to see sworn ennemy gain nothing, when few spells (not all...) gain a large interrest when empower. So, for me, the problem with empower must be repair. And after that, we stay with the problem of casters again. True story : try an empower on basic sworn ennemy, no gain of accuracy or damage. So... Pure loss... For me it is an error that reduces the interest of the empower for few abilities/spells. Offensives spells = CRAZY. (penetration / Damage / Accuracy ....) All the rest = VARIABLE : p

9 seconds is a bad idea, even with strong power. In 9 seconds, A lot of things are happening + bottleneck effect + Oh ! I want to heal my partner and I am at 8 seconds... too bad. Cancel... Max cast time, so globally the first time you hit must be < = 5 seconds. If not, you -can- never play, or play once and it is all (when melee attack 2-3 times since the start of the battle). If you have an effective glass canon team for exemple. CT : Cast time R : Recovery Slow 5 sec CT + 3 sec R (Total 8 ) Average 3 sec CT + 2 sec R (Total 5) Fast 2 sec CT + 1 sec R (Total 3) Instant 0/0,5 sec CT + 0 sec R (Total 0,5 or 0) Seems to be better.

For aramintai : For example, in Russian: Ship "Defiant" fires its cannons at ship "Black Pearl". Корабль "Дерзкий" стреляет из пушек по кораблю "Черная Жемчюжина". Or: Судно "Дерзкий" стреляет из пушек по судну "Черная Жемчюжина". Doable in french ! Le navire "Défiant" fait feu avec ses canons sur le navire "Black Pearl". At worse, the player give a "Le" Black Pearl : create this : Le navire 'Le Défiant" fait feu avec ses canons sur le navire "Le Black Pearl". It is not perfect to ear but this is not grammatically wrong in French. Or a If conditionnal : If "Le/La" is detected = supress of "Le navire" ("Ship"). "Le Défiant" fait feu avec ses canons sur "Le Black Pearl".

For french precisely : Test "Marquise" (F) (Input of the player) Object : du (M) de la (F) des (P) E. g : The crew of <enemy_shipname> braces for impact as <playershipname> rams into the hull. (La) Marquise tire avec ses canons sur (Le) Phoenix. But the big problem is : If the french player give a name like La Marquise (directly). (La) La Marquise tire avec ses canons sur (Le) Phoenix. Start of a solution : Never give a turn with object. Like : (Le) Phoenix accoste (La) Marquise après des avaries dans la coque. But stay the problem of the variable of Le/La/Les. At the creation ? Name of the ship + A scrolling text with tree choices Le/La/Les ?

If Josh want help with French, I'm here. For the problem in french : La Marquise, Le Garibaldi (je dirais plus "le" que "la" personnellement, ça sonne mieux, it sound better) etc. <player_shipname> tire avec ses canons sur <enemy_shipname>. L'équipage <enemy_shipname> accoste le navire <playershipname> après des avaries dans la coque. Navire (ship) = pre-subject, playershipname = name of the ship. Le Garibaldi : 2 variables for the french. L'équipage "du Garibaldi" = object. "Le Garibaldi" tire avec ses canons = le sujet. (Variable including "le" or "la")

True. Only 5 passives choices for the druids. And not really interresting, except spiritshift lash. -
The idea is good yes. But Pillars is not Original Sin. There is no battle of 10-15 minutes. So casters with long cast time suffer of bottleneck effect (I don't if this term exist in english) In short, it is like rogue arquebus+stealth against an ennemy with 2 pv left. It is better to attack more frequently but with less damage. This is two reasons for not taking this option.

POE1 in PoTD = 90 % of the fights under 15-20 seconds for me. Glass canon style obviously. (Without tank) I don't count the pause time (Ingame time only). So with POE2, with a full damage system, 15 seconds is totally normal actually. The greatest approach is mini-boss approach (Ghoul, sparkmaster, Twins by fire Joined etc.). Like original Sin. With that, you have longer battle more frequently, with less trash mobs. Also, don't forget : this is my warning : We are hardcore gamer. So 15 seconds for us, guys who redone the first game 10 000 times, it is more for others players. I remember that my first part in the normal mode of POE1, I had more difficulty than my last parts in PoTD. We master perfectly the wheels and all the mechanics...

If you want dynamise battle, 10-15 seconds it is perfect for Casual-normal-Veteran modes. For trash mobs. (A little more for a boss ?...) No need "Original Sin battles" of 10 minutes for each fight. Obsidian wants to make his game more fluid (slow mode out, faster if you understand the system of penetration and accuracy) and more strategic (Inspirations/afflictions etc). It is a conscious choice of them. PotD is the mode for hardcore players (like us). It is a challenge for "optimal" players. But I do not think they will adjust finely this mode now. At the moment, perhaps more the time to see the "main lines" really failing ? (like cast time of the casters... : p)

Nope. Because, this is not only Wizard... But Druid, cipher, all casters. The problem is general with casters. I am not agree with the "problem" of melee characters. Like Andrea said, melee characters are perfect. This seems to be "ok". If I am worse than my best friend, we cannot down my best friend at my level. It is me the problem not him^^ Casters are the problem. No need to nerf physical characters.

No switch = black jacket useless. + no spells because spiritshift, A shifter spiritshifter 3 strength 19 resolve. Always transformed. Not optimal... But... not viable too : p

IF Obsidian want to make long cast time and stay with that, they must increase drastically the damages / Penetration / accuracy. Like Fireball ? 50-60 damage, 15 penetration. This is long but, will do a death field. It is a long cast time but = big kick. And with this choice there is always the bottleneck effect (10000 damage for casters, yeah ! for 100s recovery. Ennemy ? 1 HP ? All damage behind the death is lost, You know the game...) but this is already a little more logicial than now. But here, it is long BUT more, it is barely better than melee attack/attack for awful global DPS... (sometimes less effective...) So there is a big big problem with spells...

Same for physical characters. The problem is moved but not solved.

Logically speaking : Perception+dexterity are the best stat for bow / arbalest. But this creates an offensive imbalance. Accuracy + damage for one stat. Same if we choose dexterity. DPS become better than melee weapons.

Hum... I see : p So suspicion of racism is only for human^^... : p I understand. Exotic = distant (no connection with the reality) = ok for differentiation. So, perhaps one class, without subclasses, it is more clear for the player ? If Obsidian want to clarify the situation. Because if we push the concept. Subclass = different adaptation to an environment, at long-term. which creates a specialty of the class. We can also see it like that. -
Why not ! I'm not against the idea ! You click on a button : 5 party members and you do all the game with this distribution.
