I can't understand Boston ascents. All those soft vowel sounds to replace all the hard vowels makes it so I'm never sure if you said 'parts' or 'pots'.

He looks really creepy after he lost weight. Some people aren't meant to be skinny. https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-body/pictures/jonah-hill-shows-off-weight-loss-before-and-after-pictures-w487217/ Some people aren't meant to be buff either. Have you seen Carrot Top lately?

Aside from the very first map, you can return to any campfire you've previously visited. Good to know. Still sucks that it seems like half the stuff on the map I can't access/reach because I don't have the tools. Damn it, don't tease me like that! I actually like Metroid style level design: learn a new ability or gain a new item and go back over the map to unlock new areas. Particularly when the market is flooded with openworld games Metroidvanias are a breath of fresh air.

IMO, yes, but be sure to turn injuries on; they completely change the game.

I'm assuming the complete edition includes that DLC/expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn? How is it?Yeah, the complete edition has the frozen lands (the only dlc). HZD itself is pretty good. I think my expectations were a little higher than is reasonable. During the whole ME:A facial animation dedebacle I kept hearing about hiw HDZ's weren't that far off . . . and they're kinda right. They're not as bad as ME:A, but closer than most other games I've played. That said, they aren't as noticeable without ME:A's cringy dialog. Over all, I like it but haven't fallen in love with it. I meant specifically the DLC. I've played the main game and wasn't sure if I wanted to play the DLC (enjoyed the main game). Haven't gotten to the expansion bit yet, sorry.

Holy . . . I kept mixing up the Horizon Zero Dawn acronym. Screw it; I'm gonna leave it. :D

March is the end of the fiscal 4th quarter, which is what I think devs go by. End of the 1st fiscal quarter is around June.

Splitting time between Xenoblade Chroncles 2, Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition, and replaying Trails of Cold Steel (seriously, this port has been my favorite game all year).

You've had the worst luck. Keyrock, for your own good you might as well just give in. -
RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'

I understand that a teaser is only to peak interest (a 'watch here' post, so to speak), but that doesn't mean that I have to like them. In all honesty, I like teasers for sequels just fine because even if I didn't play the first StarCrawlers, I can look it up if StarCrawlers 2 gets a teaser and have a decent idea of what to expect. -

Well, it has ropes. (This is why I can't get excited about teaser trailers; they're way too vague.) -
So basically your saying that I lawful evil. And here all this time I thought I was chaotic neutral.

And people complain about Skyrim memes that never die. Sweet summer child.

As always, I have nothing to say on politics, but I will just leave this here: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/powerrangers/images/6/62/Zordon.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/350?cb=20170122125801

I've been looking forward to this one for awhile. -
^Does his shirt say Fighting Fish? Do you think that's his school mascot?

I've put in about 10 hours in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 since last night. Observations: 1) I think there's some localization/censorship going on in this game. At one point a character vomits during a cut scene and there was no vomit shown. I chalked this up to trying to be tasteful, because, seriously who wants to see vomit, digitally rendered or not? But then later there was a spout of water and a character was like, "That's a lot of blood." Another point a character gets stabbed, complete with the blade going all the way through his torso, and the person doing the stabbing does that little samurai movie cliche with flicking the blood of the blade and you can hear some kind of liquid sound effect, but I didn't see blood in any part of that. (For the record, I don't necessarily see this as a negative; sometimes censorship can actually improve a game as with Aselia the Eternal.) 2) Combat is a series of QTEs. Much like an MMO, there's button activated targeting, and auto attacks. When an 'art' becomes available for use, you press the button. Combos, specials, and interrupts are all timing based with QTE-like activation. As someone who doesn't like QTEs, I actually like this combat system. It feels like the next step beyond ATB combat, but whereas I despise ATB, I enjoy this. 3) The voices are weird. Not because they all have a Scottish accents (I like that little break from the norm), but because there are some very 'anime moments' with very American stylized dialog. The gist might be the same (I haven't seen the Japanese yet, and it honestly wouldn't matter because I can't speak or read the language). As a result it seems less playful than the animations would suggest. 4) The loading times are fast, but because they stream in data there is that inevitable moment when I'm standing in a location waiting for a few seconds for the textures to load in. 5) Ten hours in and they're still rolling out gameplay systems. Some of them I've already been engaging with for awhile without a tutorial, some of them I didn't get to touch before they were in a tutorial. 6) The main character is a kind of diver so he has this very stylized diving suit with the helmet on a hing so he can take it on and off without forgetting where it is, I guess. Anyway, you can't unattach the helmet from the suit and there are no full outfit changes. This helmet maybe what does what backtracking in Mass Effect Andromeda nearly finished: drive me insane. Overall, I'm enjoying it, madness included.
