  1. Sigh. I don't know which I'd rather have happen, necroing the Romance thread or hijacking this one to have this conversation.
  2. Yep. Good news is we'll have a top ten pick. Bad news is they'll spend it on a defensive back with a 75% chance of being a bust. Sigh. I wish my team wasn't so predictable.
  3. Rumor is that China is really pushing the gaming as a mental illness thing, which is why they are fast tracking it.
  4. I'm playing Serpent in the Staglands. I don't know if its because I beat Pillars of Eternity on Path of the Damned a couple of months ago, but this game isn't nearly as 'hardcore' has its made out to be in reviews. Still enjoying it, though.
  5. Tofu isn't addictive. *Nods in agreement while eating a pallet of tofu.*
  6. If this is a lie, I will block you, SonicMage.
  7. Isn't Stellaris from last year? Either way, yeah it's easy to sink lots of time in that game.Well if we're disregarding release date, CIv 4 is my GOTY then Brutal Legend 2017 GOTY.
  8. ^Contrived lore: the Rule of Two. It exists to solely in attempt of solving that plot hole.
  9. I want Magic Mike with an all female cast. Well played, sir.
  10. GOG, masters of the unintentional pun.
  11. ^Oh holy goddess of loot, I humbly thank thee for this bounty.
  12. I got $20, how large a share will that get me of the team?
  13. Which is kind of my whole point: there isn't a obviously better option. By the way, if the rule gets changed I like you idea.
  14. For the record, I'm not a cowboys fan, but I disagree with the very concept of an 'undeserved turnover'. In this case, for example, it was very deserved. Down only by three with thirty seconds, and well within field goal range and instead of going out of bounds and settling on the field goal, Carr stretches out with the ball and loses it. What about that play warrants a mulligan? There are only two places on the entire field where fumbling the ball forward out of bounds can hurt the offense (in the field of play neither hurts nor helps) and they are both the endzone. At the bare minim losing the ball out of bounds in the endzone should result in a loss of downs.
  15. Why not get rid of the safety too? These are bookend rules about what happens when a player loses control of the ball and it goes out of the endzone. Yes, they penalize offensive players which is too be expected because they had possession and lost it in the first place.
  16. I like the rule because otherwise they'd have to call it a TD. In that chase, every player in that situation would just fumble the ball forward.
  17. I watched the game, but with the sound off (I like to play MMOs while watching football--no thought required to do either). Are you talking about the fumble out the back of the endzone? I thought that was a good call, personally.
  18. Really, Steelers? Really?!
  19. ^Life in a nutshell.
  20. That final line by Hermione is the best passive aggressive threat I think I've ever seen.
  21. It took me waaaayyyy too long to figure out who you were talking about. At first I thought it was about me (my first name is Josh), then I thought you were talking about Josh Sawyer.
  22. Unless you're Sony or Bethesda, the industry standard is to wait until you're about a year out from launch to announce.
  23. Haven't watched it yet, but I find it funny that people are saying TLJ is to campy. Perhaps I'm the only person who remembers how George Lucas decided to take out the galaxy's greatest bounty hunter all the way back in Return of the Jedi, or an accident prone gungan that single handedly wiped out a whole platoon of droids, or a moody teenage who goes about five minutes between weeping over a bad dream and murdering younglings. Campy is kinda Star Wars whole thing.
  24. He already gets free labor from elves and an endangered species of flying reindeer. Makes the whole cheap labor thing seem trivial.
