It's a poor UI + some gotcha moments where you send someone to do a mission, but with no warning you can get bad outcomes for companion quests because of who you sent. PF:K in general suffers from poor UI and questionable design elements. The kingdom management is just those same problems without the distraction of characters and story making the flaws more obvious.

Some mods to make Pathfinder: Kingmaker kinda good: Turn Based Combat. Makes the game turn style and therefor micromangement is easier. It also helps you actually see which feats are working and what are still bugged out. https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/109 Cleaner. Reduces save file sizes to something not entirely bloated. Warning: has to be activated manually for each save. https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/39 Closer To Tabletop. Lots of minor combat rule changes to make the game play more like PF 1st edition. Works great with Turn Based Combat. This mod is mostly full of (individual optional) cheats, but more importantly it can be used to disable dialog restrictions based on alignment. Kingmaker is quite infamous for having 'lawful good' dialog options that are neither lawful or good according to the morality of the world. This helps you sidestep some really bad RP railroading. Warning: using it for alignment will destroy the mechanic as a gameplay feature because your alignment will be set to true neutral and won't shift regardless of what you do--still worth it, if you ask me. https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderkingmaker/mods/26 Respecialization. Can be used for player character or companions to change class or sub classes. Makes the movement on the overworld map much faster to watch (day and night cycles will also speed up accordingly), thereby mitigating one of the most boring parts of the game. This is a straight up cheat, but since Owlbear cheats with the kingdom management anyway, I figure it's fair. The final DLC for Fire Emblem Three Houses came out so I bought the season pass. I forgot how bad the drift in my right joycon was and had to order a new set. As it is now, the camera slides towards the ground as a walk and I have to constantly flick it to get so I can see what's in front of me. This leads to a delightful game of camera bobbing that is nauseating.

It starts with the XFL being semi pro rather than full pro football. So much money is on the line in a given NFL game that they wouldn't dare give that much access. On the other hand, about a decade ago they did this for college football and coaches complained that the teams would have someone watching the live telecasts and calling in the opponent's plays so it only lasted one season.

I love the Outer Worlds, but the number of plot holes is a bit overwhelming. I heard one reviewer state that it's like the entire system is just passing around the same five dollar bill and that's the economy, and he's right. Without trade to the outside they don't have a real economy, which makes the whole hyper capitalist society break down because insult your customer base, sell cheap products, sneak in trap user agreements, undercut smaller competitors, but even the most hardcore capitalist wouldn't sign off on a project as fiscally nonsensical as Halcyon even before they knew the colony was a bust.

Seasons of the Wolf isn't very good. Similar to Dragon Age 2, there's no main plot. The combat is better, so if that's your cup of tea you might really like it. Cursed Lands has a better story than Seasons of the Wolf and the same combat but the writing is a little pretentious. In attempts to plug plot holes (harmless stuff like 'why didn't you kill the monster yourself?') NPCs will talk down to you. Overall, Curse is the better of the two but still not as fun as Loren with its simplicity.
