Nar Shardar Is A Planet

Those pictures are definatly Citadel Station on Telos. Look at the Telos fly through and it has the same dark look as Citadel Station. -
A Clue To Who You Can Corrupt?
alcaldemb replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Is it just me or is Marr's clothing a lot like the former queen of Onderon? -
Just a though, maybe we were wrong about going to Nar Shadda and that planet may actually be Mandelore. While it is quite possible Mandelore is on Dxun, along with some clans, it is also quite possible that in the 50 or so years since Exar Kun that Mandalore would have left Dxun. Maybe we go into Mandalorian space and find Mandelore on the homeworld of Mandelore. Just a thought.
-
I know this has been clarified, but I haven't posted much in months and figure I should chime in. The Mandalorians as many of us know are a clan based society, and are most like the Hunnic empire and its inheritors. Mandalore is the name of the founder of the Mandalorian empire. Following his death Mandalore become not only the name of their homeworld but also their rulers' title. A Mandalore was killed during the Sith War, and again during the Mandalorian Wars, in the seven or eight years since the Mandalorian Wars there has been a new Mandalore. The Mandalorian warriors mention him when they state that they do not agree with Mandalore's order that they attain and train with lightsabers, and I think they also voiced displeasure about hunting Wookies. Either way there has been a Mandalore for quite sometime, and he is the leader of his people.

The Mandalore in TOTJ Died. He didn't have a 1000 year chance to blow out a hole in the ground. Mandalore used to be a name, and now is a Title. Caesar was a name, it became a Title. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Caeser isn't a name! It was gaius Juillius! Caeser I think was a common name or a word for ruler, but it isn't a name! Perhaps patroitic mandalorian parents name the kids in honour of the idea of the strength of race by calling there kid Mandalore! THE MANDALORE however is a title with rulership of the clans. The orginal mandalore was probably around way before Exar Kunn or any other sith and so the title past down by strength of will in combat, bravery (like getting the mask from Onderon) or in heiritance (if the guy from TOTJ came from a line of mandalores!) Canderous would not be mandalore but I personal think if the current mandalore died then he could become leader because let's face it! Canderous is nails! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Caesar is a name, Julius Caesar's full name was Gaius Julius Caesar, it was only after his family, through Augustus, become the Julio-Claudian line that Caesar not only become a name but also a title. After it stopped being used as a name when the Julio-Claudian dynasty ended it was a way to legitamize and heir and tie one to the founding emperor.

Given the difference in his/her armor maybe the silver guy is a Mandalorian special forces soldier or has some kind of prototype Mandalorian armor. Kind of like Canderous' experimental blaster.
-
Guy did it ever occur to you that maybe you can tone it down some. We are talking about games and fictional characters. Maybe you should go and look at life outside of Star Wars, yes there is one, and not berate people who don't invest their entire exsistence into something that while entertaining is not important. Try not to get an annuerism over this. I will have to remind myself that when Episode III comes out to find you waiting in line three days before and ask you how long you have been a Star Trek fan. Should I run from your plastic lightsaber attack, or are you the inspiration for comic book guy in the Simpsons?

I always play LS first then DS, but I honestly like DS more. Bad guys are always more intriguing.

Actually the Vong War ended about a year ago when the last book came out, The Unifying Force. The Vong lost Corusant, and are now living on Zenoma Sekot and other planets in it's system. Don't even ask me what Zenoma Sekot is? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't read the Unifying Force, granted I didn't read the other stories concering the Vong, I just know about them. Personally I kind of find the Jedi always coming to the rescue and winning thing as corney. The Vong already control their own galaxy, taking one more should not be hard, and they are immune to the force. To me the Jedi just seem lucky that their enemies suffer from massive hubris, if not they would have probably been killed by now. Anyway I still think the Vong should be in KOTOR II or a potential KOTOR III
-
Everyone sorry for bringing up an already resolved topic. I didn't pay attention to other people indentifying the ship as being Vong.
-
The alien race Canderous runs into is probably the Yuuzhan Vong. They are quite vicious and very powerful. The ship appears alive because the Yuuzhan Vong technology is grown, as such their armor and weapons are a melding of mechanical and biological, and their armor and some weapons are melded with their bodies. They do come from a different galaxy, and in the EU they actually conquer Coruscant, and continue to hold it. Their technology is much more advanced then anyone elses, and they are not only immune to the force but don't even register with it. Their armor is resistant to lightsabers and blasters. Knowing this I think it would be quite interesting if we ran into the YV in KOTOR II.

I think even after their defeat the Sith did maintain a population on Korriban, and probably still have a strong position in the Onderon system, possibly the Empress Teta system, and probably still on Ziost. The Sith would also still have allies scattered throughout the galaxy. As I mentioned in a different topic I think the Sith are much like the Scythians and their descendants. They do not posses many population centers, but even with their smaller numbers they are effective warriors both quick and very deadly. The Sith, probably like the many steppe nomads, were defeated in battle but managed to disperse throughout the galaxy and into their tradiatonal strong holds. I would have to think that when Revan took the mantle of Dark Lord he was able to pull the scattered Sith together and capitalize on the forces that exsisted in the several key population centers.

The Sith ships are all of Rakatan design. The Star Forge was built by the Rakata, and all the ships and droids produced by it are of their design. The Leviathan appears to be larger than the Victory Star destoyers, and also appears to have much greater weapons capacity then it is stated as having. The Rakata reached their peak something like 15,000 years before Humans or any other group even really took to the stars, they obviously had technology that wouldn't be equalled until much later. The Leviathan class ships easily destroy the Republic war ships, which were at that time actual war ships unlike in the later Republic.
-
Advancements between this time period and 4000 years later during the Empire's time just aren't that frequent. I mean, how many advances in technology occured between the fall of the Minoans and the rise of the Roman Empire some 3000 years later? One of the most apparent differences is capital ship technologies. The Leviathan-type ships clearly has inferior defenses and systems compared to those seen in the movies like the Trade Federation Battleships, Imperial Star Destroyers, and Mon Calimari cruisers. I mean, the impact of Malak simply firing on Revan's ship nearly caused Revan to become braindead from the concussion! The crew of the Executor didn't have anything to worry about, until the shield system failed...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that the ships shields were already down since the Jedi assualt force had landed on the ship. When Malak fired on Revan's ship it seems to have already been severly damaged, with its shields down, and probably alreay having sustained damage to its active defensive systems. I also think starwars.com is wrong on their description of the Leviathan class warships, they seem to be larger then even the Imperial Star Destroyers.

Who's your favorite Sith or Dark Jedi from KOTOR?
alcaldemb replied to Bala_Starwarz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Malak was like 6'8", it would have been awesome to be as tall as him, that would have been one scary Darth Revan. -
How do alien races tell each other apart?
alcaldemb replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Echani probably have a smaller yet more muscular build then the average human, thus making them very agile. Think of the Echani as gymnast. The Mandalorians, from what Canderous was saying, probably have a larger build then the average human. While they maybe only be slightly taller then the average human they probably have a thicker bone structure and larger muscles. They would be lost agile then the Echani, and weaker pound for pound, but they are stronger due to size. I was interested in seeing what the Iridorian looks like under all that armor. They are definatly a human sub-group, and seemingly better warriors then the Mandalorians and Echani. -
What's bigger Star Forge or Death Star
alcaldemb replied to Darth Reven's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Star Forge is clearly bigger then the Death Star. The Death Star is, as stated by others, the size of a small moon. As stated by others the Star Forge is visible near a sun, which would mean it is massive almost being the size of a planet. Plus the Death Star did not posses the ability to produce massive fleets, and I question if it had the ability to house as many massive warships as the Star Forge. The SF seemed quite capable of housing hundreds if not thousands of super sized warships. -
Hey i never thought of that great idea! And you never know, maybe we can <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is docked on Peragus, as well as the Ebon Hawk, maybe we can be given a choice.
-
DSM you would think that since Dxun is a moon it wouldn't really count as a planet, much like Peragus, which is only an asteroid. Personally I do want them to throw in the other Sith worlds including Korriban (since the Sith are in power and the planet isn't full of craters). If we are going to visit Dantooine again then we should go to what would probably be a more interesting Korriban. As a side note I now realize I do not want to use the Ebon Hawk again and would rather user a new more unigue vessel. The Ebon Hawk was nice as a Millienium Falcon on steroids but it would be nice to take control of that Endar Spire type ghost ship.
-
You do know that Dxun and Onderon are a part of the Empress Teta Sytem don't you? Anyway there are a countless number of similar topics adressing this subject. My advice is search before you post because this thread is a waste of space. Cheers! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am relatively certain that they are part of the Onderonian system which is near the Empress Teta system, but I will make sure to check that up again. There are quite a few worlds in the EU and SW in general so sometimes it is hard to remember what is where. I do know there is a connection but I do not think they are the same system.
-
Seeing as how Dxun and Onderon are in KOTOR II is there a chance that a majority of the worlds we visit will be the Sith ones. What is the possibility that we might go to Khar Delba and Ziost, as well as a possible return to Korriban. It would be interesting to visit that Sith strongholds and maybe venture into the relatively large Empress Teta system, which has many worlds that are Sith strongholds. Dxun, Dantooine, Telos, and Onderon are the confirmed worlds, with Nal Hutta possibly being another, but Ziost and Khar Delba can make an appearance if they are sticking to the seven world limit.
-
Where does it say that they were the first to use the force? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They may have not been the first force sensative race, but since the Rakata out date everyone else they were the first use the force in a disciplined manner. I am just using the information from the KoTOR that basically points to the Rakata being the first to understand and effectively use the force. The Jedi and Sith orders are much much younger.
-
Not to be one to nit pick but it id rakkita it is Rakatan. They were the first to use the force, when they created the IE, they also lost force sensitivity over time but are regaining it. I would like to see the Sith species and more interestingly a Dark Jedi Sith hybrid.

Episode 2 is not as bad as one IMO, but in no way is it a good movie. Once again GL tried to appeal to too many people at once. The love story was patchy and poor, the guy who played Anakin was horrible, bad script, bad acting on Anakins part I am sure if Revan were to see this movie he would have used force lightning on whoever was in the projector room. Meanwhile I am relatively certain someone used the insanity power on GL for his recent remake of the remake of the THX enhanced version of SW. Revan saw this and realized not even the power of the Star Forge could save him and fled before he too was mangled by the insanity of Lucas.

Another Storyline Theory
alcaldemb replied to Sabahattin Dere's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It would be interesting if you could side with a Sith lord from the beginning of the game. The game could take on a DX: IW type situation where you chose one faction, I guess either Scion or the Jedi, or you work for yourself. I don't know if anyone here has seen Stargat SG-1 but a galaxy ruled by the Sith is starting to sound like the Go'uld lords. I do think the idea of playing one lord off the other would be fun. Sun Tzu in this case I likened the Sith to the Scythians(and their descendants), enemies swooping from the east and fighting with speed and brutality.
