I believe it's very difficult to track an infection back to public transportation - while it's easier to track it back to work, home, restaurant (especially if you have to register like in Germany so an infection can get backtracked)? So there might be a lot of infections coming from public transport - we just wouldn't know?

It says so in the source you linked: "The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe heavily. These liquid particles are different sizes, ranging from larger ‘respiratory droplets’ to smaller ‘aerosols’. Other people can catch COVID-19 when the virus gets into their mouth, nose or eyes, which is more likely to happen when people are in direct or close contact (less than 1 metre apart) with an infected person. Current evidence suggests that the main way the virus spreads is by respiratory droplets among people who are in close contact with each other. Aerosol transmission can occur in specific settings, particularly in indoor, crowded and inadequately ventilated spaces, where infected person(s) spend long periods of time with others, such as restaurants, choir practices, fitness classes, nightclubs, offices and/or places of worship. More studies are underway to better understand the conditions in which aerosol transmission is occurring outside of medical facilities where specific medical procedures, called aerosol generating procedures, are conducted." "To limit the risks of getting COVID-19 follow these basic precautions: Follow local guidance. Check to see what national, regional and local authorities are advising so you have the most relevant information for where you are. Stay at least 1 metre away from others, even if they don’t appear to be sick. Wear a mask, especially when you can’t physically distance. Read our Masks and COVID-19 Q&A and watch our videos on how to wear and make masks." Did you even read that? Turned out I could prove you wrong. Easily. Next: Skarpen saying that Christmas party at home isn't the same as spending long periods of time with others idoor... After that: Skarpen saying that when they are all healthy they can't spread the virus at the Christmas party. Too bad that 50% of spreaders show no symtoms and appear healthy.

And one about masks (and why they work):

Do you know Minutephysics? He usually makes short vids about... well... physics. But sometimes also about other scientific stuff. He did a new video about Covid-Tests. Interesting imo:

Assassinte bonus on Disintegrate does nothing but give you +25 ACC for the hit roll from stealth/invis. Disintegrate is raw - so no increased PEN. It's a DoT, so no increased dmg via crit - only +50% duration but every class would get that. ACC bonus helps to crit though. It's still good. For Disintegrate I think Debonaire/Ascendant is the better choice. Charmed enemies can receive Disintegrate and it gets 100% conversion (almost guaranteed +50% duration) while it will not flip the Charmed enemy back. So Ring Leader and then spam Disintegrate on all charmed enemies is great with this combo. Assassinate is great for direct dmg stuff. Maybe Amplified Wave? I just now realize I didn't try if it works with Assasinate. You have to hit an ally first and maybe that breaks stealth? Don't know...
-
No, only Assassinate. Things that affect spell dmg from the top of my head: Might Assassinate on crit (if not DoT) crits (not dmg but duration if DoT) Blightheart enchantment for Wizards Griffin's Blade some pets (also the ones that boost "ranged" dmg Eternal Devotion Sasha's Singing Scimitar's Shocking Prelude

Do not use a blunderbuss on an Assassin. Except when it's Kitchen Stove with Thunderous Report. The first projectile of a blunderbuss will get the bonus from assassinate, the others will not. Iirc this is also true for mortars since the AoE follows the initial hit and will not profit from Assasinate. Thunderous Report however is a insta-all-hit cone attack that does enormous base damage to begin with and not only profits from Assassinate, Sneak Attack and Deathblows but also from the quality enchantments of the weapon (+ACC, +dmg, +PEN via exceptional --> superb --> legendary etc.). If you can lure enemies to a spot - for example with a tank or some loud spell from stealth you can hit them all with the rather big cone (needs high INT!) and ascend immediately. It also has two damage types (burn/crush) which makes it less likely that you need to use a backup weapon. Backstab only works with weapon attacks from 2m range or less (no spells unless tagged as weapon attack - like Taste of the Hunt), Thunderous Report might work for trgets nearer than 2m.

Again I recommend to watch J. Sawyers post mortem talk about Deadfire "Breaking the Mold". He explains that usually when beta-testers (who are among the most effective powergamers your game will ever see) tell you that your game is too easy it should be just fine for the average player. But in this case the beta-testers were right, he was admittedly wrong and the game really turned out to be too easy. Remember that when Deadfire was released PotD was a LOT easier than today.

Nearly nothing what Skarpen said is correct. I know it doesn't make any sense to try and discuss with him, but for anybody else interested here are some links about how masks work against Covid-19: https://www.pnas.org/content/117/51/32293 https://www.zmescience.com/science/hamster-face-mask-covid-study-15324/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7253999/ Study that shows that Covid-19 doesn't only spread via droplets (which don't fly) but also via aerosol (which does): https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.13.20063784v1.full-text

and by homoerotic thoughts!

Haha. Usually if you reload the autosave (after you got obliterated) the looters won't turn hostile anymore because that scripted scene will be missing (which seems to trigger the hostility). So you should also be able to run past them after you reload. Don't know if that works reliably (didn't die at Gorecci Str. for a long time) but at least that was helpful and prevented frustration the first few times I went there. I believe if you do a quicksave aftr the autosave you're not getting that option...? Most people found out ba accident that leaving Port Maje and returning (and going right to Gorecci Str.) lets them enter from the south and easily sneak past the looters even with the lowest stealth values.
-
Sure it can. Also depends on the measures the government so strictly enforces. If those are not adequate you can be as strict as you want... China doesn't have a good vaccine yet afaik and they have a lot of people to vaccinate. No surprise the virus might cause local outbreaks. But I believe those will not explode like they do in Europe or the US.

A "lifelong" sentence in Germany usually means 15 years of prison (with 5 years of probation afterwards). If there is "very serious guilt" (judge will determine that) your time in prison can be prolonged lot longer. You can also add further "preventive detention" which is not prison time - but basically the same - if you think the perpetrator will still be a danger mouse. I guess Norway has something similar: Criminal law in most European countries is not based on punishment and doesn't even aim to achieve "justice" (I guess because that's just a very subjective thing). It aims at upholding peace under the law and rehabilitation to prevent further crimes. One reason why there is no death penalty. If the offender can't be resocialized there's that preventive detention. There is the element of deterrence but it's not one of the main pillars - like it seems to be in the US(? correct me if I'm wrong). Also because deterrence doesn't really seem to work that well when it comes to the "big" crimes. I'm no lawyer so what I said may be a bit woolly.

Actually "Isometric Wing" was the name of the speedmetal band I was part of in the early 90s.

Gorecci Str. is def. the hardest fight for most people on PotD if you exclude Megabosses. Because you have not a lot of options and usually only two party members. And you'll have a lot less meta knowledge than later which always helps immensely. Fighting enemies who are three levels above you is a lot harder if your own level is low. The more you advance the less three levels will matter. It can be rel. easy with the right character (e.g. one that is heavily front loaded with good abilities right from the start and equipped with a unusually good weapon like Essence Interrupter) but on average it's a nightmare. I don't know why it's designed in a way that you can solve the quest peacefully but run into a hefty fight before which is not easy to avoid unless you know you can enter the street from the south.

Usually the town map will not be the first thing you see when you enter a town for the first time. Instead the first area of that town will load (the one with the harbor) and you can walk around. You can then simply click on the leave-area button again (right where you entered the area) and the town map will pop up.

Yeah, Biontech guy said the same - but maybe that's the same guy? I mean this one here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uğur_Şahin

Hehe - I guessed that you first used WotEP. To be fair: most two handed weapons should have a bit longer reach. Especially compared to the light one handed weapons. Would make sense. But that would have made balancing more difficult I believe. Currently every weapon group has a mix of special "features" besides the modal. Clubs, daggers, hunting bows (why?) and spears have +5 ACC, Pollaxes and Morning Star have two damage types, Battle Axes have increased crit damage and so on. And one of those features is increased reach. I guess it would have made things too complicated to give different weapons gradually different range. Maybe...

Ok, but at least I told a cool story once.

Thank you. Memes didn't help either I guess. Na I think I'm done. Let's go in peace and drink a (maybe virtual) beer.

...and obnoxious prat doesn't equal obnoxious prat, it means misguided fellow.

We have medicare for all in Germany since the founding of the BRD and it hasn't ruined us yet... We don't have a green new deal but the Energiewende. In April we were at roughly ~50% electricity from renewable resources and we cut 40% of our CO2 emissions compared to 1990 (partly due to Covid though) and it hasn't ruined us either. It's expensive - but we're still no. 4 in the world (GDP). So I wouldn't say "impossible".
-
It may seem different... but two handed weapons don't have extra reach in general (there are exceptions). All melee weapons have a range of 1m (or 0.8m? Don't remember the exact number) - unless you use a pike (1.8m), a quarterstaff (1.8m) or the great sword "Whispers of the Endless Paths" (1.2m). Two handed weapons are also as fast/slow as the heavier one-handed weapons (sabres, swords, spears, maces etc.). Sometimes players believe they are slower but they aren't. What they have is higher PEN and higher base damage.

Yes, but not only him. When the green party was founded and first was elected into Bundestag they were the most leftist party. Before that it was only CDU (conservatives), SPD (social democrats) and FDP (liberals). Coalitions were either CDU+FPD or SPD+FDP. Pretty borig really. If you would have asked the greens that they think about forming a coalition with the conservatives they would have laughed very, very hard. Not even with the FDP. Nowadays CDU+Green it's the most liked option. Not only because the greens drifted to the right when it comes to war/sneding the troops and also ecnonomics - but also because the CDU under Merkel hopped a bit to the left when it comes to cultural topics like same-sex marriage (grudingly because a vast majority of citizens support it) etc. But I would say the greens moved more to the right than the conservatives moved to the left. Anyway they are grinding the social democrats (SPD) to dust between them...
