  1. Revan turns to the dark side simply for giving into his emotions. Sion needs the dark side and the dark side needs Sith members like whom for more hate energy to feed off of. They go together like batteries and cd players. Darth Sion is a ture Sith Lord.
  2. What the hell was so great about Jolee? I mean he was okay but jeez. he's leading the pools. Calo Nord was 10 times cooler.
  3. How about you're not notified each time but throughout the game while you talk to your friends they tell you about yourself. You know like the way Juhani and Bastilia used to commend you for following the light or warn you about how you're going towards the darkside. And if you're mid level they would tell you you're confused and need to direct more of your focus towards the Jedi Code. They could implement something like this into KOTOR.
  4. Same here. There were a ton of different ways to play the game not just deciding between light and dark. To me the large replay value makes up for the relative shortness of the game. I'm not even sure how big a fan I would be of lengthening it. The longer a game is the longer it takes for me to know the end.
  5. Just a couple of questions that hopefully someone can answer. Will we be able to level up the same way as in KOTOR? Meaning can I save all my levels until I get my new Jedi class and dump them all into there. I never leveled up once on Taris. I saved it so I could get more Force Powers. I think it's a cool way of rewarding people who put the work and strategy into doing that. Will there be more objects that are useful for the Dark Side? While playing DS was certainly easier it seemed like everything that was of use was limited to the light side. The Qel-Droma robes, the sappith crystal, and the head band that increased your wisdom by five. It's like if you're dark side then you're stuck getting by, by yourself. Any change coming through about that? I've read about the new fighting animations coming through but I also read about how your actual force powers(new and old) will have much cooler animations. I wanted to know how that is really possible and what types of changes you all are talking about making. And this last one I know probably won't get answered(if any of them are) but I can't help myself. I heard we're going to have Battle Meditation. Will there be an opportunity to apply this ability to an entire fleet or will it just be for your immediate party? Thanks and keep up the good work.
  6. No clue either. I've heard 4Q 2005, 1Q 2005, and Winter 2004. I'm hoping the keep moving the date closer and not further back. During the diary on gamespot the guy said it would have a winter release. Also the editor mentioned that it might become one of the best games of THIS year. I would venture to say there is our answer.
  7. That wouldn't make any sense either. If I'm a Sith Lord looking for complete and utter domination and I know where the competition is at then I'm looking to take out the competition. One pitly Jedi isn't going to distract me from two or three other rival SITH LORDS. It's got to be something else.
  8. If you find out to much information you wont have any suprises when you play the game. Actually yes I would. Because even if I know every little bitty detail about the story and what's going to happen it's still not the same as seeing it. It's one thing for someone to decribe the new flurry animation feats it's another thing completely to do them and see them in action. It's another thing to describe what a powerful fearsome jedi I can become and it's another thing completely for me to actually go about doing that and seeing it. They can't ruin the experience for me. No mater what I will have complete and utter satisfaction.
  9. Because they have said you will not start off as a Jedi. Unless they changed that recently. As far as I know you start off as a Jedi. You just don't have a lightsaber. They also said no force powers. That you had to relearn everything. Though I never heard anything about starting classes. I don't know if you start off as a Jedi with nothing(ala 0 level character or something) or what. I've been afb for awhile so maybe this was answered some where else. You have no force powers and you do choose your class. Later on you choose your distunguishing class of either LS or DS.
  10. Mini games don't always belong in CRPG's but I think in the case of KOTOR they fit. I don't know about Pazaak but Swoop Racing is most certainly a part of the Star Wars world. It had been implemented well before KOTOR came out. Therefore it adds to the experience of actually living in that world to have Swoop Racing available to you. As far as whether or not the skill at racing should be based on the actual character or you I'd prefer they focus on other things as supposed to trying to build up some type of system for how well you ride a swoop bike, or play cards and shoot a gun. IMHO

  12. I could deal without a video if they would give me some real info. Come on wet my beak a little bit. Something about the stories, the enemies, the NPC's just anything will do right about now.
  13. It's not a gliche. It's an option. Personally I think it's pretty cool. It rewards those with enough skill to get through Taris without leveling up once. But realize as well that when you do that your NPC's don't get as much. At least that ones you meet after Taris. That means Juahni, Canderous, Jolee, and HK.
  14. It's long been the custom for Star Wars games to be at the "Teen" rating. They're never more, never less. I don't imagine it'll be different this time. This one should be mature for violence to match the dark setting.
  15. Interesting. I've been on this forum for a couple of months none. People go on all sorts of tangents. Very repulsive, insulting, idiotic and insensitive things are said freely. And neither the comments or topics are deleted. I go on a silly and more importantly harmless rant and someone actually felt the need to delete it? And on top of that Old School's slight(however small) against me was kept in? Hmmmm. Alrighty then. I don't really understand but I don't care enough to have to.
  16. Appreciate the semi answer. I'll take your advice.
  17. I've asked this question about ten times and I still can't get an answer. Could someone please tell me what the heck weapon flourishes are? Maybe I don't know because I played it on the PC but I don't get it. Someone please elighten me.
  18. Every Jedi class comes with it's own ability. Jedi Counslar's automatically adds increases to your wisdom points and effectiveness. A Sentinal has automatic immunity from mind attacks. A guardian is the only one that get an attack based skill called Force Jump. As supposed to running towards your opponent everytime your Jedi will use the force to leap towards your opponent and do an attack. It's best when combined with Master Speed(or any form of speed) increasing it's amount and effectiveness. There are disadvantages. The must be nothing blocking your path, and you must do just a regular attack in order for it to work i.e. no feats. Also when you perform this move you will undoubtedly leave the rest of your crew behind. So if you do this in the middle of a group of enemies you're at risk to be bombarded while the rest of your people catch up.
  19. No it doesn't. It even explains that in the description. You can't combine it with Feats. It can only be combined with Force speed which adds an attack and I think makes it more powerful as well.
  20. What?? I think I need a translator... Where's HK when you need him? He could translate this Sand Person's dialect.
