  1. I think I have to disagree. To take off the limit would be to say that the end justifies the means. I think part of being a light side jedi means you won't resort to extremely malicious and cruel acts. Therefore powers like force crush and kill become out of the question. As far as dialouge I think light side jedi should be able to use force persuade in some situations without taking a dark side hit. But as far as specific powers I think the system in place is just about as good as it's going to get. -Samori
  2. They might be different. I played on the PC. From what I've heard it plays much better but has more bugs. Crashes a lot before you get the patch. Plays much better afterwards. But anyway it doesn't go TOO slow when you have speed on. Plus the sequence is short enough where you can have speed all the way through. Except on Mannan where you go to the actual Star Map. That time it's just a tad too long and you have to go a little ways without speed. Otherwise it's not really all that bad. -Samori
  3. The Saberwhip is a splendid idea!! Absoloutely fantastic! It adds a totally new dimension to Star Wars not seen since lightsabers!! I voted for it eight times and I'm going to create more ID's and vote for it again and agian and again!!! Who's with me?!!! -Samori
  4. Wiggin I think the idea is that at first Bastilia didn't think Revan was strong enough. But he's the only way to find out where the Star Forge is. Plus you'll notice that when you face her in the temple after she turns she truly believes she's stronger than Revan. It's not until you defeat her(twice if you're on the light side) that she realizes you're truly stronger than Malak. -Samori
  5. I would've been fine with the underwater sections if I had been able to use Master Speed on both of them. But considering on the Leviathian I had to stay at my regular pace it was nothing short of maddening. But it was just for a few seconds so it wasn't all that big of a deal for me. As long as I'm not running away from somebody. -Samori
  6. I think to some degree what you're talking about is accomplished. Number one I don't think it would be fair to make a person physically decompose(for lack of a better word) over time while being in the dark side because that would say that those strong in the dark side of the force aren't competent fighters. So the next best thing would be to make them companion less. And so you were forced to betray your two best Jedi options and go into the Star Forge without them. On top of that your left with a human(Mandalorian but still human) and a jedi who's been stripped of just about everything you've leveled her up with. So I think to some degree KOTOR implemented what you're talking about but Bioware could only do so much. To say that being a master of the dark side of the force requires you to be a weakling is more than a bit of a stretch IMHO. -Samori
  7. I like the idea that you get different options after completing quests and points in the plot. But I think I also like the idea that the npc's quests are at random. It means that if you want that person's question you have to use that person and diversify your experience. As supposed to going through the whole game with three jedi and then complaining about it being too easy. -Samori
  8. I can somewhat deal with them not moving around each other. What I can't stand is having to micromanage all three characters. The only thing the Jedi do automatically is use cure or a version of Master Valor. You would think if there's a dark jedi or a solider right in front of them they would slash or something. But not they just stand there a let themselves get hit. PLEASEEEEE make the AI at least somewhat more believable than that in the next game. If that ill is cured I think I can deal with the other deficiencies. -Samori
  9. I know I sure as hell wanted her back. Going through that world kinda ticked me off. Just when I finish kissing her and laying my pimp game down her comes Malak to not only capture her but bring her to my side. By the time I got finished will all that crap I was more than ready to head to the Star Forge. I was scared to death there was going to be another dumb world to distract me again. -Samori
  10. Actually there were two side quests. You could kill a group of mandalorians and get a nice little footlocker of equipment and depending or whether you took the good or evil route there was a person in each complex that had some information they needed you to retrieve for them. Just thought I'd toss that in there. -Samori
  11. What I would really like is that the last level is on a Sith planet where you have to battle your way through Sith Lord's in order to get to the boss. I didn't particular care for being on the Star Forge. I would've like it more if I still had side quest and objectives while slowly but surely making my way through a Sith dominated world all the way to Malak. I hope something like this is implemented for KOTOR 2. -Samori
  12. But as far as the combat styles yeah that would definitely be a nice addition. Probably not till KOTOR 3 though. -Samori
  13. I don't think I really agree with that thinking. To me someone who has mastered the art of two-hand weaponry can do more damage then someone who has just mastered it one-handed. So I think the advantage should learn more towards the two handed characters. I think to balance that Bioware made those outrageous defense subtractions. To make sure that you would earn that extra bonus. Hell the most effective combat combination on the game is a two-handed lightsaber with Master Flurry and Master Speed. And that's the way it should be IMHO. -Samori
