Okay, move this one to spoilers. Kriea- "There are techniques withing the Force against which there is no defense. I was cast out. Stripped of my power. Exiled. I suffered indignities. And fell into darkness." This is the dialogue she is saying while the video of Sion beating the snot out of her is playing. In the video, Nihilus does something to her, and she is no longer able to grab her lightsaber with the force, remember? Then Sion beats the crap out of her.

ok a few questions bout gray characters
SSgtSniper replied to Darth matty's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I get his point, grey wouldn't be a 'side' as light or dark is, but then let's reword: Grey Philosophy. -
Who Kriea actually could be?
SSgtSniper replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Kavar- "You cut yourself off, because you had to, in order to survive. You had hints of it in the Campaign on Dxun, (implies he was there, as no other Jedi returned to have told them that, so how else would he know) Malachor was simply the final blow." From the funny named Master- "It' was Kavar's plan- he was the best tactician, and he had seen more war than the rest of us." (Paraphrased, I cannot remember the exact wording of the first part.) I have this sneaking suspicion that Kavar is in fact Onderonian. In fact, as the Royal line is from Force Sensitive stock, I have a suspicion that he's also from the Royal Family. There's not much supporting it, it's just this gut feeling I had. One thing's for sure: He definitely is interested in what happens in that system. From the Disciple- "After you left I was told you were no longer a Jedi. And I decided that if you were no longer to be a Jedi, then you had a reason. So I left the order." (Paraphrased, I cannot remember the exact wording) The point is everyone that left to fight in the Mandalorian War was summarily exiled. Your trial was not actually such, it was simply the official informing of your (already decided) exile. Now with Kae, it's different. I think she was formally tried and exiled after Revan and Malak left and took half the order with them, and then she left and joined him. Up until then, she had never claimed to have even fought in them. Also, following up Kavar's little line is Vrook. Vrook- "Is this your new Master exile? If so, you follow Revan's path. Her teachings will cause you to fall as surely as he did." I don't deny that, I am merely saying that wasn't his real fear, his age. His real feal is that Luke will do exactly what he did, run off and not finish his training, and then fall to the darkside. That was his real fear. Why else would he ask, "Will he finish what he begins?" --Side note: can someone mail me a keyboard with a better working 'A' key? Because I'm getting tired of all the edits. No? *Grumbles* Off to Wal-Mart then, I suppose. Eidt-- AGAIN. To add, on the Number two argument, Battlewookie, he asked the Order to train her, and they refused. They were well aware of his marraige, and even after the war, had no intentions of Exiling him for it, although he thought they should have, like Jediphile said. -
Coming to a retailer near you: A six foot rabbit in Trench coat, Fedora hat, and fake Moustache, holding a copy of Fallout 3. Who wants to bet me?

UH OHH! MAUL IS COMING AGAIN!!
SSgtSniper replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This I'll give ya, but trust me when I say, a little Necro-posting is much better than twelve of the same-exact-thread-with-slightly-different-title every day, like I deal with daily at B.Net. Now granted there's a lot less traffic here, but If you look through the first three pages of the Zanzibar (Halo 2 multiplayer) Forum, you'll notice something: it repeats after page one and a half. That's what no search function gets you. Not that they didn't use to have one, that the traffic from the pre-Halo 2 hype melted it down, and they've yet to build a search engine that can stand up to the sheer volume they get in an hour. And it leads to repetitive threads. Lots of them. -
Surely you aren't blind?

I see what he's saying, although it'd only work on PC. He'd select option 1, and then type it in the way he wanted it to actually be said. 1.Politely Request a Bacta Beer "Hey Bartender, a round of Bacta Beer and keep the change!" While he tosses the barkeep a hundred credits.... I gotta say, his idea is interesting, but ultimately, it'd annoy the piss out of me. Just give me some stuff to choose, and let me go on.

I too, must admit, I am looking forward to this game.

SW game centered on Bastila?
SSgtSniper replied to Dark Moth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Basila can romance herself, oh yeah. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that about covers it. -
Don't even try to make sense of it, it'll give you an aneurism. Just nod your head and smile at the nice rabbit, that's a good rabbit..... And hope he doesn't bite you.
-
Laozi, I'm not going there. Gabrielle.... spooks me from time to time. I think she enjoys it too.

Yeah, I've heard that anti-virus programs sometimes don't like KOTOR II, although that tends to make me wonder..... Good for you that you got it going on your own. Take a good look around here for patches/mods to make your experience better. I'm definitely going to suggest to you the KSE editor.
-
Not even if the game is good? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's got you there. Swearing something off will only make you a bigger hypocrite later when it actually turns out people love it and you get caught on tape sneaking out of (insert game outlet of choice here) in a Fedora and fake moustache with a copy of it.

An alternative way to start KOTOR3
SSgtSniper replied to Leanest's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
*Slap!* Read stickies! How dare you suggest such an abomination! Death to you! No, I'm kidding, but it does demonstrate a certain mindset out there.... -
Darque, if I wasn't already married....... No, seriously, that's nail-on-head. Exactly how I was looking at it.

An alternative way to start KOTOR3
SSgtSniper replied to Leanest's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He might be like me, from the Bungie.net forums where there is no search. That little feature was a blessing and a half when I found it. Although, searches still hate me, half the time they time out on me. Stupid searches. I hate them. Grrrrr...... -
KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
SSgtSniper replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah, I agree. It may sound gory, but we've seen sliced off body parts in every film. It's sort of expected. And D20 Star Wars rules do allow for it - just implement the Wounds rules. Who cares if the Sith lord loses the hand or even the head once he's down to negative vitality anyway? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They could tie it into "critical hits". Or misses. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's called an "T" rating. Dismemberment rules would chuck that right out the window. -
An alternative way to start KOTOR3
SSgtSniper replied to Leanest's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ignore him. But I would suggest a repost in the Kotor 3 thread, and refining the idea. Who know what could be done with it? -
Hey Alan, to quote a genius, "Can you resume the petty bickering?". That was the frst part of this thread I found to be truly interesting.
-
I didn't say I wanted to spend any time with them. I just wanted to know they were there. Big difference. Also, if you note: I did not say it was good. I said it wasn't bad. As in, it wasn't Morrowind.
-
How about you spend less time telling me what to do, and more time pondering why I don't give two squirts what you think?

An alternative way to start KOTOR3
SSgtSniper replied to Leanest's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd rather chew melted batteries, thanks. And who died and made him forum god? -
Hey, it was the first game I saw with the option to have a wife, and do things with her....... Not that your ever got to see a damn thing, or that it would have been interesting if you had. Just that was something that I had always found missing in RPGs, is where's the wife/kids?

Fable wasn't bad.
