What's Canada?

Right now I'm level 2. I've closed four oblivion gates and I'm pretty much a god, or as near to it as I can be at this level. I'm wearing a combination of fur & blade armour and most things are going down fairly quickly. I don't however, see any reason to level up. None whatsoever. If things are just going to get harder and frustrate me - what is the point? Better equipment? Better spells? More money would be nice, sure. But why? So the gear will break the economy? I don't spend money. The only thing I'd really buy are spells, but so far, I'm doing just fine with my flare and minor heal thing. I don't even use the chill touch spell. So... could someone give me a valid reason to level which does not include "better gear"? Or at least, not solely that. I don't mind if I'm fighting stunted scamps by the thousands. If the game is simply going to get harder, I may as well stay at level 2.

Level 2, you aren't allowed through that door until you level up... which is rather stupid because it wastes a level on a non-Jedi class. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had forgotten about that. A level 2 Revan then! :D
-
I have a feeling that had they even allowed it to come to combat, a level 1 Revan would still have pwned Darth Bandon.... ...maybe. Especially if she/he/it was using Trask as a meatshield. *shrug*.

Gothic 2 is one of my all time favourite games.. ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like the first one better ". Gothic 2's a great game too

I don't like their scaling. It's just far too overdone. Having some low level enemies around to slaughter and higher level enemies that are almost impossible to kill is a must-have for me. While I don't want a god-character, I don't expect everything in the world to rise with my character's level. Some things, sure. I do expect a challenge, but not quite to the extent that Oblivion has. I don't like how all the enemies' gear breaks the economy and makes money worthless either. That said, that and not being able to fight from horseback really are my only complains with the game. The dialogue's not great, but it's not bad either. Just could use a bit more work, 'sall. The rest of the game more than makes up for it though Just my opinion. (even if I am echoing others here). Btw, I thought the guy who suggested the Gothic 2 monster thing was dead on.

So - who's been a DM then? (backs off quietly, realising that he must be absolutely corrupted absolutely... but having all that power is so much fun!) Edited for grammar.
-
...I guess that means all DMs everywhere are utterly and absolutely corrupted then...
-
Almost too bad it is a hoax... oh well.

So where does one sign up? :D "

Most loyal character
Dyan replied to HK-47_THE_MEATBAG_KILLER's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
*snip* Ignoring the LS/DS thing & the "good character" stuff - I would have to disagree with the loyalty thing. While I understand what you're saying, I respectfully decline. I'm sure she makes some comment about how she would have 'burnt the galaxy' for you. She even says she loves the Exile. Granted, I don't think she fits the "classic" definition of "loyalty", but this is Kreia we're talking about. Nothing she says or does is going to be "normal". That would just be too easy. If the dialogue is an issue, then I blame the writers for not giving more choice. I think Kreia takes on the role of teacher a bit too much - but even at the end, she allows you to ask questions before she has you slay her. If she really was disloyal, she would have struck you down before you had a chance to do anything. At the very least, she seems loyal to Revan - sending "others" after him. *shrug* Just my view - feel free to disagree :D -
If it's artifical, my gut feeling would be that it's fake. That said, I wouldn't care if others indulged or not. But you know, so long as I got to be a chuvanist and let it do all the house work and stuff... :D

*shrug* copied it off amazon... And... I'd forgotten that they might bring out a GOTY edition... hmm...
-
So which version would you guys & gals recommend. Currently I happen to have the regular edition (I got it today - very belated birthday gift from the family because they didn't have the special ed in the shop...) - I wonder if I should send it back and order the special ed off line. Is there much of a difference? Are the 'features' # Collector's Edition Includes These Exclusive Materials: # Septim Gold Coin: An authentic replicated Septimcoin, the official currency of Tamriel # Pocket Guide to the Empire # 112 page guide to every aspect of Tamriel, including it's people, provinces, and much more! # Making of Oblivion Documentary: DVD of a special behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the game. - Really worth it? What do you all think? Should I just stick with this copy or get the collector's ed? Cheers in advance, D.

Most loyal character
Dyan replied to HK-47_THE_MEATBAG_KILLER's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think Kreia's the most loyal. No really. She sticks with you the entire time, and while she manipulates you, uses you for her own end, ultimately it is to make you stronger. I think she has your "best interests" at heart - as well as her own and in a way, I think her loyalty is greater than any of the other characters. I just think being the cranky old witch she is, she hides it. She even forces the exile to kill her - that takes some doing. Edit: Not to mention she faces Sion "single handedly" (don't hurt me ) on the Harbinger and tells you to run. -
Didn't think so. " Not like I've even got the game - yet. <_< Maybe tomorrow

Dare I ask which file?

I don't use sabre forms - only the force forms. The one that lets me regen the force more quicky. Focus I think its called, or something. Er... as far as they go, I don't know. The one that lets me face other lightsabre users better. *shrug* I don't remember

K1. Why? Well - firstly, it was finished. Secondly I like Revan and his/her backstory & of course, his sidekick. Jolee & HK47 were amusing too. K2 was a bit too dark for my liking - and I'm not talking story - I'm talking the actual worlds like Nar Shaddar. Very grey and bland. Maybe when a certain mod is finished my opinion will change .

England. I hate our country for giving up her empire and her pride. I hate the fact that we've elected a spineless moron for a prime minister and the fact that all our parties are as useless as the last. I hate the fact we destroy our national identity and standards; that we give up our culture for 'political correctness'; I hate the current generation and the degeneration of society - I hate the fact we bow to the will of the US and the EU. But most of all; I hate the fact that as a nation, aside from cricket and football, we have absolutely no pride in our country at all. I hate the fact that we bash her constantly and really don't give a damn about it. I hate the fact that we're no longer 'British'/'English' and really, our country deserves everything she has coming to her. Bring back the empire, I say! . Just not the arrogance - just how to 'win' at cricket again...

You're talking about muscle memory? Where one has trained so much that it is a reflex action?

Sith Bunny should be a character. Maybe K3's main PC. Sith Bunny for K3! "No Kotor 3 for you!"

As much as I appriecate the sentiment, I'm afraid that I doubt Christ would approve of the Jedi way. The whole "turn the other cheek" thing. Running around with a sword killing things/chopping off limbs does not really strike me as the way of "compassion", "forgiveness" and whatnot. That said, I do agree that the Sith Philosphy is flawed and leads to self destruction - which is how it was written to be. The Jedi are not much better though, hiding their words behind half truths and lies, twisting everything and everyone to their own ends - whether that is their true teaching or not. And finally... I doubt the force is a good thing. I like what Kreia preaches about it, personally. Edit: I don't mean to sound snide or sarcastic, so please don't take it the wrong way.
