I don't like using thermal detonators personally, I think they're too overpowered and are a cheap cop out. I had about twenty by the end of K1, maybe a couple more or less.
-
I found them funny as a lightsider. I think that HK47 was the real reason that Revan found the Starforge. HK just shows that Revan had a sense of humour. I've never got HK's definition of love. I'll have to definately try next game.

I was, um "roleplaying". That, and old man Bindo... *shudder* Juhani though " poor kitty.

Blasphemy! Burn the heretic! <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *glare* Lego is better in plastic! honestly, I couldn't care either way, but its more fun kicking up a fuss

Now that I think of it, I had real trouble beating Juhani & Jolee on that temple during my last run through of K1. Of course, they were heavily equiped and had some of the best suff in the game, but between them, my poor Revan and Bastilia couldn't beat them. I had to tone down their equipment on the fourth reload!

Well, the setting is a "no magic", low fantasy setting where everyone is human(oid), and the most mundane creatures are myth and legend. The actual climate is temperate and the land is very much like medieval europe - vast forests, mountains, etc, etc. The technological level is post medieval - or at the very late stages but with one major difference: blackpowder/gunpowder hasn't been invented. After five hundred years of warfare, five major countries/empires have arisen and the game is set about 150 years after the wars ended. Meaning there's been a chance to rebuild and whatnot. Anyway, there are political stirrings and should the wrong diplomat get murdered then war could break out again. Of course, should this happen, the "world" will enter a new dark age and basically, its bad for everyone. The PCs are a mixed bunch - one is a former pirate, three are nobles (from the two main factions), and another is a commoner who's mother was a noble. Another is a travelling psuedo kung-fu drunken monk and the last is a "hick"(his description, not mine). Most of the PCs are linked in some form or other and their backstories, past or blood, parents, family have some connection - whether they know it or not. It makes for an interesting weave of interactions. Anyway, the story is that for many and a varied reason, all the PCs wish to leave the capital of one of these empires and basically, hop on a merchant caravan "train" (not a steam engine, but horse drawn thing) carrying lumber, silk and a few other bits and pieces - hiring themselves out as guards, cooks, or as passengers. So they travel from one country to another - and have recently left the city. What they do afterwards is really up to them, but for now, everyone's together on this Caravan. Edit, I should mention that this is completely homebrew - setting and system. The system is mainly a set of guidelines, based in part off VtM rules - but not a direct rip off. Bascially, there are a set of stats, skills and martial skills that have no bearing to one another. XP is handled in the form of "points" and can be used to upgrade any skill, martial skill or attribute. I think that just about covers it..

*grins* if it were set in a desert, sure. But I think that most of these ideas can be adapted for a temperate setting with forests and the like. I like the ghost town idea. Since its a no magic world (or so the players are led to believe), it could be quite fun. Stealing the horses could be quite good too - they'd have to save a certain number or the Caravan would be pretty screwed - not to mention they wouldn't get any pay due to the Caravan having to cut its loses. I've already planned to have the roads washed out with storms and the like - heck, right now one of the caravan wheels/axles is broken so the PCs have had to rush to the nearest place and find a replacement. Catch is, they're in bandit infested territory. I like the idea about the murder in the Caravan too. That could make for an interesting plot. Of course, if I fix it just right, everyone will be suspect. Which is always nice. Cheers

Excuse my ignorance, but being a Brit... Pixies? *blank stare* I have no answer for you aside from the fact I don't want everyone knowing who I am. Not that I'm anyone special *shrug* Handles tend to be more unique than my real life name too.

There are a lot of good ideas in this thread. *approves*. Personally, I'm trying to run a game over at another forum where combat is minimalised. I'm a bit short on ideas too. Combat tends to be pretty lethal and in a non-magical setting, characters heal slowly and die fast. There's quite a lot of social interaction, with characters being connected in some way or other to each other. Currently, they're stuck on a caravan travelling from point A to point B with a few encounters and stops strewn along the way. I'm having trouble keeping things interesting... I don't suppose anyone has any ideas?

No - but my other topic I made a few days back, well I realised I didn't put my own views on it until two pages later. I figured this time I'd put some info down first. If I wanted to talk about myself, I'd start an autobiography thread and rant about how much I'm right and no one else is. Or some such. So how did you get your name, Mister Pixies. (at least I assume you're a guy).

Turning Lego into a computer game format was the worse idea ever. (Well, maybe not the worse but definately in the top 100). Lego should be bricks, damnit. Bricks and physical plastic people figures. With swords, armour, horses and spaceships. Not a darn computer game. *glare*
-
Of course it won't, but *shrug* that doesn't stop people from speculating. And why not? Some of these threads, although done to death, are pretty fun.
-
Revan should be bitter, sarcastic and have a razor sharp wit. Malak's a pansy who's trying to compensate for what he doesn't have. It shouldn't matter who plays them, if at all.
-
See topic description <_< I'm also curious to know exactly how many accounts are alts and how many are "real" users... As to my own username - it was actually, er, a typo. I don't recall what it was supposed to be, but it wasn't intended to be a play off on "dying" which it sounds - if you put it in just the right accent. (nor was it supposed to look like a female name )

A "perfect" girl would make me look bad. A girl that was perfect for me however, wouldn't. Since I'm not going to get either - I'll just settle with the girl I'm in love with right now instead.
-
That's been suggested many times already and I think most people agree overall, its a good concept to have.

In K1 the PC had a voice...

Twi'lek dancing girls.

Now why would you want to do that? If you slaughter everyone, then you'll have none left to worship or serve you. Better just to slaughter a few, make examples out of them and force the rest into line with fear. Er. I play as a lightsider, honest!

He surpassed him in the end, and in the end, did "destroy the sith" and brought balance to the force. It just wasn't the way anyone expected, or when they expected it. Granted, it took Luke to play a large role, but that doesn't negate the fact that ultimately, Vader/Anakin killed the Emperor - even if Luke manipulated him into it. But I digress. Being the Chosen one would be too cliche, but I do see your point
-
Unlike the movies, there is no overall villain; there is no one manipulating you from behind the scenes. There is no visible evil figure. All you know is that there are "True Sith" whatever - whoever - they might be and both main characters from the two prior games have run off to fight them, or are sending others off to fight them alongside Revan.

Male Exile to Handmaiden and Visas E: "Children, children - please, settle down. There's no need to fight over me. There's enough to share." H: "..." V: "..." E: *rather hurriedly , "Look girls, er, Handmaiden, you can be my right hand, and Visas, you can be my eyes... OW! Stop that!" *Both storm out after sending dark, dark thoughts down the force bond* E: "Ladies, please! There's no need for that! It was a poor pun, I'm sorry!" *sigh* "Mira... you still like me, right?" M: "Men." *snorts* E: "Fine! You all drove me to this!" *dramatic pause* E: "Kreia - you were right all along. How do I manipulate them?" K: from afar *rolls eyes* "I'm on Malachor now." E: "Well. Damn." E: "Aaaaaatriiiiis!" H: "Schutta" Continued after lightsaber duel and defeating Atris... E: "You know what? I've had enough of this. I'm turning gay and going after Revan." HK47: "You will not harm the master." E: "Er, you can kill off the crew of the Ebon Hawk while I'm gone." HK: "Master, I thought you'd never ask. Warming Blasters" *horrible death cries as HK blasts the entire crew* ooo, my 200th post. Yay, go me. -
