The New All Things Political Topic
I've been told that it's not too not hard to trip people up on the stand. I don't know this personally as I've never been a witness, let alone one in a highly publicized and contentious interview where it's the entire goal. This is from the one trial lawyer I know in real life, so take it with a pinch of Lot's wife.

Ukraine Conflict - war continues on
I don't think it's a good comparison at all but I also don't think what's left of Ukraine is all that friendly towards Russia or is going to be after it's finally conquered. Just as we in the US turn people against us by killing them and their kin. I have no special insights into the opinions of Ukrainians in Ukraine, just anecdotes. But yeah, if Russia just eliminated everyone that wasn't demonstrably pro-Russian then that could likely kneecap a lot of insurgency efforts. Incredibly hard to defend though.

Ukraine Conflict - war continues on
I don't know, I was a little kid back then at the tail end of it. Just meant that they seem to be bumbling around Ukraine. I assumed they would have steamrolled Ukraine in the beginning of the war and now here we are years later. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for it, as I've said I've got in-laws in Kiev. Makes me wonder how we'd hold up against our neighbors. Would they make us look that bad too? Disagree with Zor on Afghanistan, though, even though he admitted it's different, as the invasion was over quickly and the occupation was costly and I would expect it to be costly for Russia as well once/if they finally "win". Obviously though none of the comparisons can be very close.

As a casual observer they never really seemed that competent aside from Wagner.

The New All Things Political Topic
The Trump administration is threatening my kid's school district for being woke or whatever by withholding federal funds. So they're suing to get the money because they're already struggling to get by. Because better we have no school than a school that trans kids feel safe in, obviously.

D&D 5e solo adventures (for beginners)?
I started with NotebookLM but now I use Ollama because while I'm on my home network, I can use it on my phone. I let it roll for me and it does a pretty good job, though I had it code me a dice roller, but I stopped using it because lazy. I just play one character, my main whatever depending on the setting.

What You've Done Today...or yesterday...or what you are doing RIGHT THIS MINUTE!!!
I was fancasting the movie of my life, as one does, and I think I've figured the perfect person or rather duo to play me. Tilda Swinton but dubbed over by Morgan Freeman.. it just feels right.

D&D 5e solo adventures (for beginners)?
I've gone a little off the deep end on the solo TTRPGs. I ended up hosting my own LLM so that I could customize it to work better for me.
