While waiting for Elemental to be patched into a playable state I saw a game called Fort Zombie. It doesn't have very good ratings but it does have zombies and it's only 10 bucks so we'll see how that goes. Also, I don't remember Impulse downloads being so slow...

Just finished another run through DA:O and am about to start Elemental: War of Magic.

Again, it's not at ground zero and you can't even see one from the other. If it were at ground zero then I would have a problem with it too but it's not. Also, it's supposed to be an Islamic Community Center, like a JCC or YMCA and not just a mosque.

Umm, there are a lot other churches here (even Greek Orthodox) in Manhattan. What I've heard of St Nicholas is that its rebuilding is delayed along with everything else at ground zero. While I'm not sure of what to make of the people behind the mosque, the idea behind it doesn't sound bad. I will say that the proposed site is not ground zero and a couple blocks away here might as well be a couple miles away for other cities.

All the manly hero types. Just finished the game and I thought it was good with a few minor complaints other than how "Gears of Warsy" everyone is.(which I'm pretty sure they weren't as close to that huge in the first game) The accents started to wear on me after a while and I didn't like the one new unit each mission system and even that wasn't too bad.

I don't like how everyone is Gears of Wars massive but other than that the game has been great so far.

In all seriousness though I have a hard time buying into the gateway drug theory. Yes, alcohol and tobacco and marijuana are usually the first drugs people try but that's because they are the most common and easiest to get.

But it's zombies! You don't really need to mow them down with a wall of lead. The 9mm SMG should be fine for head shots required to kill the things. Btw has anyone seen Survival of the Dead? I heard it came out but I haven't seen it playing anywhere.

I can't argue against the awful timing of it all but McChrystal and his staff violated several articles of the UCMJ and in such a high profile case such as this there really isn't a whole lot that could have saved them. Free speech doesn't really exist in the military and while I can fault Obama for a lot of things, this isn't one of them.

I'll second ibuypower, I had a gaming laptop from them that lasted me 4 years with 2 of those years in Iraq. I only had one minor issue with it in the time that I owned it and they fixed it for me for free.

Not I, but everything I was told in the military and have seen in semi-realistic military fiction is that you always shoot for the chest/center of mass so that you have a much better chance of hitting stuff. Aiming center mass is good when shooting at a distance but if your opponent is only a few feet away... I was no commando but we often did firing drills where we would aim for the head while moving. It's not much of a stretch to me for someone with much more extensive combat training to get a head shot in a split second at that range.

This may just be the most pathetic thing I've ever read. I beat that game.

District 9 - It was... different. I like different and it was overall awfully awesome BUT it lacked that certain... I don't know what. Nice previews though, looking forward to Zombieland, Legion and The Fourth Kind.

I remember one time I was visiting my mom in the hospital and she was telling me how the ghosts her sister and brother had come to visit her just before I was there. She also thought the machine that goes ping was saying Bin Laden... so, I blamed the whole thing on the drugs they were giving her.

I also had a somewhat similar experience a few years back. I was in Iraq and my wife at the time was increasingly distant and just all around different towards me. I tried talking to her about it several times but I never really got anywhere so one day I resigned myself to dirty deed of checking her email. I knew her password as she did mine, we were married after all but I had never checked her email before and to this day I still feel guilty about it. When I found out she was cheating I confronted her about it and even though I felt justified that I was right in my assumptions and I'm glad that I found out sooner rather than later, I'm not proud of what I did.

The nurses that I know either work 5 8 hour shifts or 3 12 hours shifts a week depending on their schedule and work environment. 70k is a bit on the high side but I guess it all depends where you are. Is being a nurse something that you really want to do or is it the thought of making good money for only 3 days of work a week that attracts you? If it's just the money and you don't mind staying in school then be a surgeon, that's what my nurse friends tell me is the best pay for the least work.

This is great news! The first MechWarrior game is what introduced me to PC gaming. Now I just have to wait for them to announce their Shadowrun game.
