  1. Because it all comes back to Trek https://youtu.be/f05snS3zUaM https://youtu.be/oXZg_GZYb7A
  2. I'm guessing that most of Gfted1's bill is the TV portion but I still don't think that's a very good argument ISPs mostly went after non-affiliated internet services first, see Comcast vs BitTorrent or Comcast vs Netflix. The discussions about NN have been going on for years before the 2015 rules and some of it was reactive to what companies like Comcast were doing but some of it was to also preempt the worst of the anti-consumer practices like monetizing the net like they do with cable TV Now that the rules are gone I don't expect all the worst case scenarios to immediately, if ever, play out. I expect them to once again go after non-affiliated internet services (Netflix, Steam, Youtube, etc) to work out deals directly with them. Maybe some will pass that extra cost onto the consumer and maybe some won't. After that I'd expect promotion of their affiliated services (Hulu, HBO, etc) with discounts, faster speeds, zero rating, and whatever else. Tiered services and web packages could come in later but I wouldn't expect them right away. Edit: Ninja'd by Elerond
  3. I thought that movie was hilarious but my wife got up and left the room after about 8 minutes
  4. That's the one that's supposed to benefit the Sinclair Broadcast Group?
  5. That's the joke I don't have the resources to even attempt to compete.
  6. I have no options besides Comcast for high speed internet where I live :/ I guess I should start my own ISP
  7. I got CK2 before it was Steam only (though you can run it without Steam once it's installed via Steam) and probably would have skipped it if it was a Steam exclusive at launch. I was already hooked when they made the switch :/
  8. Well, it's done.
  9. Finally saw the second Kingsman movie. It wasn't nearly as good as the first but I still enjoyed it.
  10. About my list? You can ask what you want ) In the end I found about 35 games, which I wanted to put my list, but decided to pick these games, with which I spent most time having fun for various reasons ) over CK2 And Shadowrun Returns over Dragonfall and Hong Kong?
  11. Good point made about the slang. I think that's what throws me more than the accents themselves.
  12. I read most of the comments and I have to say that I feel bad for the guy who couldn't say Merry Christmas for 20 years Poor fella
  13. You could still end up with an offensive Indian and Japanese accent if you do it wrong. Also, while there is that type of Italian accent usually done for comedy reasons, I don't know how offensive Italians find it. The French generally (stereotypically, and may not be true for everyone) get upset if you do French wrong or not too superbly well. They are known for being pretty defensive about their native language though. I think it's the difference of mimicking an accent of another English speaking country and mimicking the accent of someone from a non-English speaking country trying to speak English. It's easier to get away with the former than the latter. Not impossible just harder to get away with without offending someone. I used to do a pretty good bad Swedish accent
  14. English is my wife's third language and she occasionally has problems understanding some accents. The worst for her in the US is a thick southern drawl but internationally she really struggles with some of the English and Scottish accents whereas I struggle with some Indian and Australian ones. I wanted to ask here what do you all think are some of the best and worst English accents from English speaking countries.
  15. Is 'man flu' real? Medical science delivers comfort to helpless male snufflers Snufflers? WOMEN OVER 85 ARE HAPPIER BECAUSE THEIR PARTNER IS DEAD BY THEN, PSYCHIATRISTS SAY
  16. I have questions about that list but I'll tuck those back in
  17. I also give it a gentle shake it once a day and take a small sample on days 2 and 3 to see if I want to let is sit longer or shorter. Since beets have a stronger flavor you may like it after only a day or two. I found with mangoes I had to let it sit at least a week to get a stronger mango flavor. I got a request for horseradish and another for sugar cane so I'll set about those in the next couple of days.
  18. Rarely so happy to be wrong
  19. My dog chilling in a little bit of sun. I think she may be part lizard... or Kryptonian. Yeah, I think she gets her power from our yellow sun. My other dog is the complete opposite. Where one dog loves summer days in the sun the other loves the cold and dark winters and playing in the snow.
  20. Only if you actually want those other games. If it's just for Hard West I'd say no.
  21. I haven't really seen anything about it but I was wondering if EA's decision with Battlefront will have any negative impact on Anthem. I don't recall any mtx in Destiny 1 but I lost interest so fast I could have missed it. Haven't bothered with Destiny 2 either so no idea what Bungie is on about but it seemed like EA wanted multiple income streams on most big games going forward.
  22. At a convention for work today. Only one talk left that I have any interest in attending. It's not even lunchtime yet and I'm all schmoozed out.
  23. Bought beets. Bought vodka. In 3 days I will have some nice beet vodka.
