  1. I think I might need a new monitor It gets a weird texture on any movement on screen.
  2. My mom can beat up your mom
  3. I'd argue that coloring between the lines is exactly what he was trying not to do. TFA colored within the lines; TLJ sought to scribble all over the page. Not really spoilery but I'll tag it just in case and now that JJ has the reins again...
  4. Too cold
  5. TLJ makes me worried about Rian Johnson's own trilogy. It was a beautiful movie but I didn't care for the direction most of the various subplots took. I know he had to color between the lines that JJ left him but still. :/
  6. Anyone want to go in on the Panthers with me? We can start a GoFundMe and a Patreon
  7. I don't like any of the Bethesda type games. I hate the play style so anything built on it is a nonstarter
  8. Star Wars. I didn't much like it.
  9. Did you actually find players to complete the group missions with or are they soloable by now? I finished them when they launched and everyone was doing them, but getting a group together must be hell these days. When I was leveling, the heroic missions were soloable, but I stopped doing them after awhile since I was constantly over leveled for the content. I don't know if they are soloable when their level cap is close to your characters level cap. All the planetary heroics are super easy to solo and now that everything has level synch you'll never be more than a couple levels higher than the planet
  10. Still can't win the Eternal Championship with my sorc but I can beat it pretty easily with my assassin who has worse gear.
  11. My batch came out pretty earthy and sweet. Pretty good.
  12. Everybody Should Be Very Afraid of the Disney Death Star The first episode of the Streaming Wars is over. The rebels won. Now the empire strikes back.
  13. You also don't have any voter ID laws. They tend to be in more prevalent in redder states
  14. I don't think it hits all that many people but the people that it does affect are disproportionately left leaning. I mean look at that article I posted about Texas, a concealed carry license was a valid form of ID but a student ID wasn't. I think we can guess which way those voters will likely lean. Getting an ID isn't a herculean task for the vast majority of people but those that will have the most trouble from voter ID laws will tend to be from very specific demographics.
  15. On voter ID requirements I have nothing against having to show ID to vote in general but the aim is usually not to ensure people are who they say they are but instead to suppress the vote. It'd be a lot better if they had some kind of ID card that they could issue to everyone starting at like 16 or 18 and every X amount of years after. Also, to be able to get them/update at a lot more places like schools and hospitals so that access is not an issue. But instead a lack of access and shifting requirements are the point.
  16. You don't need an ID for most day to day things and it's not required by law. Imagine, if you will, a world where you are now too old to drive and too poor to really travel anywhere so you don't renew your driver's license and you've never had a passport. Maybe you still work but now you rely on public transportation or friends/family to get around or maybe you're done working so you have even less places to be. ID is not required by law and if nothing you do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis requires one then why would you even bother? This is exactly what happened with my grandma. She probably lived the last 15 to 20 years of her life without any form of ID because it was more of a hassle to get an ID than to not have one simply because she didn't need it.
  17. Urge to punch monitor rising...
  18. Because it all comes back to Trek https://youtu.be/f05snS3zUaM https://youtu.be/oXZg_GZYb7A
  19. I'm guessing that most of Gfted1's bill is the TV portion but I still don't think that's a very good argument ISPs mostly went after non-affiliated internet services first, see Comcast vs BitTorrent or Comcast vs Netflix. The discussions about NN have been going on for years before the 2015 rules and some of it was reactive to what companies like Comcast were doing but some of it was to also preempt the worst of the anti-consumer practices like monetizing the net like they do with cable TV Now that the rules are gone I don't expect all the worst case scenarios to immediately, if ever, play out. I expect them to once again go after non-affiliated internet services (Netflix, Steam, Youtube, etc) to work out deals directly with them. Maybe some will pass that extra cost onto the consumer and maybe some won't. After that I'd expect promotion of their affiliated services (Hulu, HBO, etc) with discounts, faster speeds, zero rating, and whatever else. Tiered services and web packages could come in later but I wouldn't expect them right away. Edit: Ninja'd by Elerond
  20. I thought that movie was hilarious but my wife got up and left the room after about 8 minutes
  21. That's the one that's supposed to benefit the Sinclair Broadcast Group?
  22. That's the joke I don't have the resources to even attempt to compete.
