  1. I like my cupcakes without frosting, too sweet otherwise. I'm a muffin man and though I don't live on Drury Lane, almond poppy seed muffins are my game.
  2. I highly recommend them all except for the first one which I only moderately recommend
  3. Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Jim Thorpe... I'm outta names off of the top of my head.
  4. AddToParty maybe? I've never tried it and am at work right now so I can't test it. Will need to do iroll20s first to activate cheats
  5. Repeated but related story - once upon a time when I met Cliff Branch (3 rings) and Lester Hayes (2 rings) at a card show and told them I wanted to be a football player when I grew up they told me to forget about football and play baseball instead.
  6. I actually expected a deal, a bad deal to be sure, but a deal nonetheless. I just figured he'd be so eager for a win that he'd make some meaningless or lopsided deal but I guess I'm impressed that we just got nothing instead.
  7. I don't mind games as a service and I even think my ideal game would likely be one. I'm thinking of an everexpanding predominantly single player experience where you can group up with others where it makes sense. Not a loot shooter or anything like that, I'd want the main focus to be on the story. Somewhat like what I've heard SWTOR was originally conceived as but without changing protagonists from one story to the next.
  8. I hated the combat system and camera in DA2 more than anything else. I liked the ideas they seemed to be striving for even though I thought the execution was the worst of all Bio games excepting maybe Andromeda. I guess it was decent for a JRPG. PS I don't hate JRPGs but the game works better for me in that context
  9. ^
  10. I think a playoff spot is pretty lofty expectation in the West for the team they have. Sure, they have the greatest player in the world right now and a few seasoned vets but the rest of the team is pretty raw and underdeveloped. Besides that, I'm not sure King James is the best person to develop the young talent around him which to me means they were always going to dump the young core and go for superstars. I think the leaked AD trade proposals bear that out. He may still be able to drag them into the playoffs but as an 8th seed I don't see them besting the Warriors in the first round. Even if the other teams tank as they surge and he can get a 7th or 6th seed I still don't see them beating the Nuggets/Rockets/OKC in a best of 7 barring some serious injuries
  11. And don't forget to drop by the basketball thread!
  12. Made a chicken Caesar wrap for dinner last night, skipped breakfast as I do, and had nacho fries for lunch Haven't been able to eat much without throwing up
  13. Still playing the waiting game for CK2+ to be updated for the Holy Fury.
  14. Any bets on who lands where next season? Will the Lakers pick up the superstars they are hoping for? Will the Knicks ever be relevant again?
  15. New DLC comes out on Thursday but I think I will skip this one unless there's more to it than has been announced. I generally dislike having to play other characters in RPGs so having a whole chapter of that is pretty much a nonstarter even though I do think it's neat that those choices get imported into the main game.
  16. The thing is that I agree with most of the criticisms of the game but in the end, it just worked for me. I don't have a good explanation but man I loved that game and put hundreds of hours into it. I was even considering playing it again before my computer glimpsed a great old one and went mad and died
  17. Sand de-coarser or superweapon fatal flaw finder Sorry, I don't have any good ideas mostly because my knowledge is limited to the movies and a few games.
  18. BG2 and ME2
  19. Maybe he saw the Mule and envied Clint Eastwood's multiple threesomes
  20. Speaking of real estate, we are supposed to close on Friday. I hate our mortgage company though as they've asked for the most ridiculous things and made us jump through hoops that I never experienced before. Never using them ever again.
  21. Watching Umbrella Academy The story is pretty predictable and I'm not loving it but I'm really enjoying the visuals. I think the way they shot/stylized it is interesting.
  22. Turn it up to 11
  23. I spent a while trying to explain it in my own words before deciding that it's easier to just give links The Warrior Caste - America increasingly relies on a small group of multigenerational military families to fight its wars. That’s a problem. More links that have variations of the same basic theme Military Times Task and Purpose INSS Foreign Policy My opinion is that even though I'm not in favor of conscription I do fear that our current system makes it too easy to maintain this state of constant military action
  24. I don't have a problem with women having to register for the draft as something major would have to occur for another draft to happen but I also worry about the warrior caste system we are developing.
