  1. Even though I still have the cartridges for many of the titles, I will personally be buying a lot of these, for two reasons. 1) As a game developer, I cannot, in good conscience play pirate ROM's, and 2) these games are not emulated. The Wii has a NES and SNES chip built in (last I heard) so that these games will play exactly as they did originally, without all the weird lag and timing issues of ROMS. The prices are fine by me, as buying a working cart for most of those games would run me a great deal more.

  3. All the more reason to hide information that might hurt the experience of others. Just because someone clicks into this topic doesn't mean they really, really want to know the entire companion list.
  4. For the record, I've only posted on the Obsidian forums. There are plenty of other Obsidian folks posting at Bioware, so I throw my two cents in here.
  5. Sith costume!
  6. Nope, it just makes you less confined by outdated ideas of gender roles and sexuality. And perhaps less desperate to have people argue with you, and therefore pay attention to you.
  7. Thanks for the congrats all.
  8. One thing about the above posted review is that we cannot be sure of what build he was actually playing. As I have heard, some European reviewers played builds that were not the release candidates, and might have contained bugs that were not in the actual release.
  9. The OEI softball team crushes all with our nearly unblemished record.
  10. Hmm...so would you say the replacements are better (similar) or worse(NWN)? As a matter of purely personal preference, I really, really like the new icons.
  11. Also NWN2. We are showing it at three different locations this year.
  12. We will actually be showing NWN2 at the Microsoft area. We'll be in the PC gaming section.
  13. But will you be there? I shall.
  14. You will find about a dozen obsidianites at the show, manning demo stations at Atari, Microsoft and Nvidia. Look for the black shirts.
  15. So should I assume that the misspelling is supposed to be humorous at this point?
  16. God of War, Eternal Darkness, Lego Star Wars (catching up on some titles I missed) Oh, and uh, Neverwinter Nights 2 "
  17. It's kept me reading for 30 pages.... :D
  18. I'm just a tester, and honestly, I don't think I can say anything without overstepping my bounds. I will say that in my honest opinion, sans hype, sans trying to look good, Neverwinter 2 has lots of replay value. I'm always excited when I get to sit down and do progression testing (playing though large sections of the game), and I've been playing this game for almost a whole year now. Take that as you may, but I wanted to throw that out there.
  19. I would disagree with you on your first point. It is very much still feasible to work one's way up from internal QA. It is harder these days as more and more people are earning qualifications through other means (college programs, mod communities) but getting in the building and showing a fantastic work ethic will still open up possibilities. And on the last name, that is correct, though I haven't stopped anyone from calling me "Bull-ock" in a very long time.
  20. Depends what part of AFI you want them to sound like, and what phase of AFI you liked. If you like old AFI, you might want to check out Cold War, Ed Gein, From Autumn to Ashes or Poison the Well. If you like new AFI, you should probably check out A Static Lullaby, Atreyu or Scars of Tomorrow, but don't blame me if you get really tired of them very quickly. If you just like Davey Havok's voice, check out Son of Sam. It was a single release side project he did with members of the Misfits.
  21. I wouldn't worry about it. I had a metal radio show for a while, and found a lot of smaller, indie metal bands. Also, a few of those are local bands that only recently put out a nationally distributed release.
