  1. I have all of those in my backer portal, but maybe yours is not yet showing them?
  2. Seems like it is/was done. Post away in the Technical Support subforum! http://forums.obsidian.net/forum/104-pillars-of-eternity-technical-support-spoiler-warning/
  3. I'm sure Obsidian/Paradox/Steam/GoG will eventually provide everyone with rewards that they paid for. As we can see in these forums it's 3 OS's, 3 Editions, Backer/Non-backer, 2 platforms, and so on, making for a million different configurations. It was always going to be rough. Hoping a dev provides a general answer in this thread about addons not appearing, but individuals affected should also email Obsidian support and/or Steam/GOG.
  4. We will rearrange the forums soon, and there will be a Bugs subforum where you can post them. (If you can't wait, post them in this thread, and I'll move it when the Bugs forum is available.)
  5. People are having a bunch of similar problems, so continue here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71782-where-to-get-extra-goodies-rewards/
  6. Go to the backer portal for all extra rewards. That is the most reliable place for them, as specified in the KS update. (That obviously is separate from in-game DLCs...)
  7. Rewards should appear in the backer portal page, though the game was literally just released so there might be some delay? I'm also a $140 backer and I now see all the rewards on the backer portal.
  8. We'll be rejigging the forum structure a little bit, probably today. After that feel free to post it in the Stories subforum, with
  9. I'd expect that the DVD versions subsequently patch through Steam or GOG, whatever platform you have chosen - so that it will be treated the same as digital versions. But I'm not 100% on that.
  10. In other cases (e.g. Wasteland 2), the physical key would arrive with the physical box, the digital key online. I got my physical box key a couple of months later, for example. I'm not sure whether Obsidian has taken this into account - hope a dev sees this thread, and you should also email support if you've got 2 people waiting to play. I'm sure they'll try to help, but this particular issue might have slipped under the radar what with a million different configurations of rewards.
  11. Merged with the Orlan thread. Let's keep the discussion here on topic of custom portraits. I think we've had our fill of the IP discussion, and it'l be nice to keep a repository of portrait links and the like.
  12. Question answered. Feel free to continue discussing release time here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71686-9am-pst-release/
  13. This is standard Steam game release time. It's not something that is really up to Obsidian.
  14. Devs are reading the forums, but it's a hectic period - you might want to email support to hail them for individualised assistance.
  15. It's not very funny and the story sucks. But it sure had better environmental interaction, in combat or out of combat, than most RPGs - something sorely missed after Ultima 7.
  16. Sure. They can be frustrating, their games, but I'm glad something so wacky and indeed uneasy is around. Weren't they doing a Pathologic remake?
  17. You fools, this whole time you didn't know that the entire forum is dedicated to poe?!
  18. Yep, it's 5 I think. Feel free to doublepost or PM a mod for edit needs in the meantime. (We should really just get rid of that sometime.)
  19. Let's keep temperatures in the room low, people.
  20. Continue the preload discussions here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71554-pre-load-is-now-available/page-24
  21. Beta updates are different from post-release patches. Best thing is to go by each patch and not update if devs say it breaks saves. On GOG you have no problem, on Steam you can turn auto-update off for the game.
  22. Yep, you're right. Sadly, as this very thread shows, it's hard to please everyone's expectations, especially ones that nobody could have predicted before it happened. Vardia, it is now common practice to 'finish' the game with a Day 1 patch. This is because when a game goes gold (certified for DVD production), it then takes a couple of weeks to distribute - that's two weeks up to the release day that they could continue to work on bugfixes and the like. So all that work they did right up to the release day goes into the Day 1 patch, 'completing' the full release version.
  23. Granted it's not like they sat there thinking how can they screw over their backers. But it does show that we meant so little to them that we were just some faceless mob who would be happy with being shoved aside and told "yeah, no, you guys did your bit you gave us the money now sod off and wait your turn" How can anyone in the industry still to this day after everything that is changing not pick up on why you put fans first. Yep, they sat around a table and thought "those scummy backers, we're going to screw them over by giving them their game on the release date. That'll show those bastards!" Nothing I say is going to convince you so I'm done here, but people reading this thread can make their own minds up as to whether this situation really offends them. *shrug* I backed the game because I wanted to see it made and I wanted the promised goodies. I got both. If I expected a lot more than what I was promised, I'm sure I'd have been disappointed, too.
  24. What it is is that they made a decision out of best intentions, one which is not significantly deviating from the norm of many publisher AND kickstarted games. If you disagree and are disappointed, OK, I can understand that. I think it's baseless to try and argue that this is somehow quite clearly a calculated show of disrespect and distrust.
  25. You really think the difference between a two-weeks old build and the release build is THAT big? In that case Obsidian's time management or QE just sucked again... And obviously the streamers mostly liked the game although it's not the final build. So why trusting them and distrusting the backers? It's not like backers HAD to play the game before release. Everybody could wait for the day-one patch. But you'd have a choice... It's not a question of trust. I'm sure it looks that way to you, because you're determined that every decision Obsidian has taken must have had something to do with trust and respect. Why not just get rid of the 'release' then, by your logic? Backers should have a choice to play the gold master build, the 2 month build, the beta build, the alpha build, the pre-alpha build... Obsidian has the right to decide when the game is done, and to offer that finished game on the release day. Obsidian also has a right to offer media copies, like many many other games - both Kickstarted and publisher - have done. I don't find that disrespectful. But then, I have a feeling nothing will persuade you.
