  1. Funny you said that, because if I remeber right in KOTOR 1, Bastillas skin didnt go grey when she turned to the darkside. She looks so innocent, yet was so evil :D
  2. I said Handmaiden was the most loyal, as she literally worships the Exile. She is facinated by the exile, and is the only other person to confront Atris for you (I thought she was going to die there, which would have been more interesting) Plus she is in love with the male exile (Atton is just like Han, a wisecrak IMO whom i never really bothered with). Love conquers all so they say... These are some arguments against the popular choices: HK was loyal in KOTOR 1 as ppl have said, but HK can be reprogramed, plus I think he is still really loyal to his *former master* rather than you. Again T3 is loyal to the former crew of the Ebon Hawk (never unlocking the navicomputer as mentioned earlier) Bao Dur looks like someone who will loose control at any second, atleast when Mandalore shows up that is. That guy has just bottled up too much hate to be stable, hence loyal.
  3. Yes, they're there for a reason, not to make the box look pretty... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Didn't stop them with KOTOR 1 (w00t) Tho Bastilla dosnt look like herself on that cover... Regarding Cheats, I dont think they are needed for such an easy game, I mean the hardest bit is at the begining when you have low everything, I found the game just got easier and easier (tho I do admit there were a few times I had reload or pause more frantically) To w2dmb: Regarding the game, I think its a good game (more replayability and other options to take), but had they *finished* it, then it would have been fantastic, clearly leaving KOTOR 1 for dust. I reccoment you play KOTOR 1 before this, as it will help explain some of the plot and will give you more depth, and that is an excellent game! but as BattleCookie said, for more info, brouse these forums
  4. They are both the penultimate boss end fight, they both recharge, thats all there is to it. Bastilla is just confused about LS or DS (well when Revan is LS anyway), and Sion is just confused about his purpose in life (as The Great Phantom mentioned). The only other similarity is that they both use red lighsabers and I think they recharge twice or 3 times (cant remember). I think It would have been interesting if you were able to convice Sion to allow himself to be one with the force considering his anger/wounds, kinda like what Revan did with that Sith lord ghost (Ajunta Paul) in Kotor 1. You were able to save Bastilla but not Sion!
  5. kinda like Anakin in the movies, he thinks hes helping the republic by making it stronger, but he just got corrupted, in this case by the evil emperor. In G0t0s case, it was the exchange work that makes him evil, and perhaps other stuff. Killing people for a good cause is still killing people, which is generally considered bad by most people (except you DSers out there :D )
  6. You answered yourself by saying that all he cares about is stabalising the republic. He is prepared to do this by any means nescessary, which is usually the dark, violent way as he says when you speak with him. Since that isnt the definition of being "good" by the jedi, he must be "bad". I suppose its like The Emperor in the SW movies. He has stabilised the republic (rebels were small in the begining), and he is evil. Its just that, GoTo is doing all these bad deeds for a greater cause, but he is now in too deep in the Star Wars "Mafia" type underground crime syndicate. Last time I checked, the Mafia and crime syndicates were bad :D
  7. A simple answer could be that Bao Dur is *Special* Besides, a good way to overcome this problem is to simply give him force powers that are not restricted by armour. That way he gets the defence bonuses and can still cast decent support forcepoints like Force Heal I think and others, I havent played in a while so I cant give a list of suitable force powers. Im sure people can live without Bao Dur using force lightning, as you have plenty of people who can do that
  8. I agree with that, as its annoying having to open them one by one, whereas you can put them on a playlist in winamp, making it easier to choose what you want to listen to, but MPC is just there if you want to listen to everything or you already know which files to open and just dont want the hastle of opening them one at a time. Its always fun to go through the whole lot (not in one sitting I might add!) as you might find something hilarious. Edit: Sorry for the double post, but I had already posted the previous post before the others were displayed, and I wasnt sure if I could quote onto an existing post with the edit function.
  9. You can get it from anywhere, just type Media Player Classic into a search engine, but for those who want a direct link, here ya go: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_so...yer_classic.cfm OR http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Vi...r-Win2kXP.shtml OR http://www.filehippo.com/download_media_player_classic/ These are in no particular order of preference, just different sources for MPC. But the good thing, at leats for 56kers is that its small, around 2MB
  10. For those of you who dont like winamp, you can use media player classic. I was able to listen to all the conversation dialogues that were cut, including funny HK ones, without modifying anything . You can either just open the files in media player classicm or just open media player classic and drag the sound file onto it. I have just tested files from the "StreamMusic" and "StreamVoice" folders and they work with MPC, however files from the "StreamSounds" dont seem to work from what ive tried. If you want to play all the voice files in MPC, then just highlight all of the voice files and drag them onto a pre opened MPC, and viola, just listen away to all those dialogues.
  11. On a side note, is there any way to get the shine in Kotor 1 in Kotor 2. If you look at HK in both games, he seems to *shine* a bit in Kotor 1, but in Kotor 2, he is dull (colour not character). I know this can be explained away in the story, but can the graphics effects from Kotor 1 be used in Kotor 2? It just seems daft that Kotor 2's graphics are not as good as Kotor 1's IMO.
  12. My vote was Deathstar, at least the second one, as the Emperor was on that one, and since he was *THE* Sith Lord of his time, His connection with the Dark Side of the Force would help the Deathstar win and Kill approaching enemy ships. So unless the Starforge can make Lukes in Red 5's or Landos in Milenium Falcons, that thing is Toast!
  13. The process is Identical for Kotor 1 and 2, just go into the kotor 1 directory and find a file called "swkotor.ini", the type of file "swkotor.ini" is will be called "Configuration Settings". When you open "swkotor.ini", just look for "[Game Options]", then type what Revan_Returns says "EnableCheats=1" under the Game Options and "Save" it. When you run KOTOR now, just press the console button (not sure wat it is in US), but in the UK its to the left of the "1" button, now type the cheat code. Note in KOTOR 2, you will not see anything on the screen, but continue anyway, as the writing is invisible for KOTOR 2 for some reason. That should cover it :D
  14. If Bao Dur Died, I recon it would be like killing Chewie off after he repairs the Milenium Falcon, so that the others could get away. That kind of death would serve a greater purpose, and gets rid of a character thats not as important as say Kriea. I suppose they left it so open ended and unknown so that the guys doing KOTOR III can do what they like, though I think this is too open ended, afterall, there should be new characters in KOTOR III, and if any of them do come back, Bao Dur wouldnt be the best choice.
  15. I had trouble converting Atton, probably because I hardly used him once I got off Telos, but I found Mira and Handmaiden to be easy to convert. For Handmaiden, just sparr with her and be good. I know some people might say Handmaiden is not easy, but she is, because you just sparr with her (easy to beat her) and talk to her about her mother etc. I think People dont see Handmaiden as easy to convert because you can't do it in one go (unless you dont sparr with her until you are at a high level I think, havent tried it as I spared with her when I could). certainly Mira was fastest for me, just choose your words carefully
  16. My Choice was Dantooine, at least in the KOTOR 1 time period. It was a place where there was calm and serenity IMO (After you deal with the locals in KOTOR 1 " ) Plus I liked the music that played when you were on Dantooine, It was calm and peaceful.
  17. What I found daft in KOTOR is that you found credits in baskets and stuff on the Unknown world. What good is it there, there are no more opportunities to buy/sell stuff. I voted KOTOR II cos of Handmaiden, nuf said <_<
  18. I voted Traya, tho IMO, I agree with alot of people in that they were all *too* easy Traya was hardest IMO cos of all the Vitality u lost when she got a good hit, but with Veprine sheilds and ur force powers, shes a piece of cake
  19. Agreed with these two points. HK got my vote for said reasons, and for all his "meatbag" references and explanations on where meatbag came from :D. Bastilla was fun to listen to when you argued with her, as she acted like the spoilled brat who knew it all!
  20. Yeah, how come they dont follow your allaignment like KOTOR II? And why does Jolee turn on you? he is neutral, with no hint of blue on his force alighnment screen. So much for following the "grey" path P.S. I know they want to stop the ultimate evil, DS Revan, but still, neutral people dont have a favourite side of the force.
  21. Mentioned before, but never old , Killing Mission using Zalbarr, while everyone else watches as if its a gladiator arena in the Roman times. I wish Carth would have died too, but I havent found a way to kill Carth as a Male Player Is there a way, as he just runs away to leave Mission to die [Coward!]?
  22. i got my version of this try this nihilus (Mumbles Gibberish blah blah) Sion Yes Master What Is Thy Bidding Nihilus (Some Gibberish Mumbled) Sion Master We Cannot Do That There Are Soldiers Here Nihilus(Generally Mad Mumbles Something IN A mad tone) Sion You Wanna Stick It Where???????? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol, though I wouldn't reccomend this to the younglings "
  23. It appears that is true, just make sure that she is ONLY wearing *clothes* and ONE *lightsaber*. Then when Nihilus is at half health, tell Visas to Sacrifice herself. This will gain DS points and Nihilus health will only be 1/4 when the game resumes, and he is in a trance (for a few secs!)
  24. The option for *both* should be there, 'cos as Kriea had done, its best to touch both sides of the force, then use the best of both worlds to lead you to power, with your jedi mind trick and sith force choke!
  25. HK all the way. Hes funny, but not as funny as he was in KOTOR I (cut content " ). Shame about his cut content tho...
