KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion
vaxen83 replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't know what history there is here on this forum regarding KOTOR III, Obviously I struck a nerve, so I assume that KOTOR III questions from newbies have been so common as to get them relegated to a single thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some abbreviated words commonly used here for a start: LOL - Laughing out loud IMO - In my opinion FTW - For the win (Not too sure, just my assumption) BTW - By the way OMG - Oh my god. To Michael: Hope this helps. -
Its basically so that if you have names in your posts, then names become distinct when small caps are used for words. Big caps are usually used for first letter of names/titles of sorts.

Not too sure about robes that are both blue and black. Here is a link to names of robes. Might find name there.

Might be that you have gained substantial influence with Visas to an extent where Handmaiden irreversibly exhibits a lack of interest in your character. Think it is one of those bugs with game. Given that you have been talking to Visas quite frequently, if you have a previous save where you only had a minor amount of influence with her, you could reload from there.

Here's a screenshot that might be interesting.

It would also be interesting to see how Kreia's proposal about life without the Force would relate to continuation of Kotor's story. And how Jedi will use what they know in negotiating obstacles of Sith.

Bao-Dur: "Yes General?" Bao-Dur: "Hey General?" Bao-Dur: "And that's why I follow you General." (Exile faints from Bao-Durian obedience overdose)

Found Infinite fleet concept for DS players in K1 confoundingly convoluted and a bit repetitive as continuous churning out of ships was like leaving something related to darkness unexplained accurately that is understandable.
-
Tend to consider Viridian as a slightly faded shade of green with a slight amount of blue in it. Relatively relaxing I suppose for calming the mind towards a slight meditative inclination.

All PCs, whether Guardian, Sentinel, or Consular have same kind of clothes, which you will find that commoners and refugees on Nar Shaddaa also have. Again, Obsidian tried to save money on game costum design or simply did not have enough time to look at other clothes design for characters.

On a basis of attributes, would go with Kreia. Con 16, Dex 16 and Wis 16, which means +3 to Fortitude, Reflex and Will saves from first level onwards at least. Master Force Focus gives +4 to offensive force power rolls.

Haven't played in over a year. HUD seems too big.

1024 by 768 for resolution size seems ok so far for K2. -
Zez-Kai Ell was also ok. His story about losing a Padawan on Malachor probably made his dialogue with Exile more toward that of sympathy. Not too sure if he looked a bit like a genie or Buddha-like.

Malak was hardly a challenge at all. Those Jedi captives held in stasis in the Star Forge command centre could basically be drained using DS Death Field by PC Revan. Otherwise, he might have been a formidable foe to go against in a few ways. Can't really help but wonder whether concept of Malak was derived from a mummified corpse with the body of a superhuman topped with a dracula-like look, considering the cape that he wore. Thought that he looked quite artificial, and hardly like a villain of substance, not even half as close to Vader's presence. And his Force lightning could be nullified with an Electrical Capacitance Shield. Somehow, he looked like the Joker from Batman's story, whether his expression was serious or sadistic. Another thing concerning character appearances is why a Scoundrel character has to be shorter in terms of height than a Soldier and a Scout, that is hard to understand. It would be easier if height was about average. Of course, Scouts/Scoundrels/Soldiers each had different clothes, which was interesting in some ways. For darkside, while some things like being banished from Manaan by Selkath authorities is expected as part of being a DS character, other things like having to kill Mission simply portrays darkside as being about nothing except destruction. Almost every conversation option is about killing. Have played DS only just about twice, but found it quite obvious. Here is another thing. K1's ending showed concept of Infinite fleet from Star Forge. That I really don't get is how something that functions in some way like Death Star is able to churn out warships without utilising some kind of resources in doing so. How is it explained that the SF can continually use Force energy to churn that out? Am still puzzled by this most of all as a DS player? Rakatan world was also something like going back to age of dinosaurs which is strangely similar to concept of lizard-like race that invaded Neverwinter itself, suggestive of a long, lost age. Not too sure how force is related to that, anyway. Even Death Star can have its power cut off from it, though not easily done so. Bioware did provide some interesting ways for its Kotor theme. However, if one looks closely, one would notice that many of these ideas were brought over from NSN. The d20 system was ok. However, the names of LS force powers like Force Valour and Force Armour are words positioned centrally within fantasy games like NWN. They could have used some other words like protection rather than shield/armour. And costumes looked a bit weird. How is it that Jolee's Jedi Knight robe is brown while another Jedi Knight robe is blue? Is Juhani's color robe of red supposed to indicate some kind of uniqueness about her training? Think those Dark Jedi that waited on each planet looked more like daylight robbers running around with their strange hoods on and with black rings below their eyes while their costumes for lower part of their body looked like they wore underwear over their outer garments, and looked like they had gone without a day or two's length of rest and sleep. And rancors were used so often on the Unknown world. Just to be slightly direct, complexity and depth is not exactly something that would describe K1. It was more like a once upon a time story with either a happy ending/ or a dark one. The former ending was predictably like a fairytale kind of thing. The latter's concept of Infinite fleet was what could be described as repetitive mass production of something where differences could have been shown. However, one thing could be said about K1 is that it allows some kind of maintenance of quiet rather than having fast paced music and story, which is ok once in a while.

KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion

Which shows multidimensionallity of civil war's role in Kotor series. And which also relates in more ways than one to KOTORFanatic's interpretation of True Sith and how they have yet to make their presence felt. That is how I see it so far. And then again, we could consider how a rallying of forces would be involved in dealing with consequences of such a potential threat. It might affect survivability of humans and aliens alike. Somehow, find it a bit difficult to not consider this as being similar to a formation of an alliance that may not necessarily be classified under a banner of commonality or a unified name in time of Old Republic. Slightly different from that of Mandalorians' way of uniting. Also, there remains Jedi force users who have gone into hiding to manifest themselves and make their presence felt as a counterforce against Sith. -
Probably bynna's avatar. On another level, Wiki sources provide general summative info about SW, as far as I can think of.
-
Disciple is probably only other character with Consular class other than Kriea. Did level him up as a Jedi when playing as female. (Which was quite a few times)
-
Purple, not really a bright colour. Might actually mean a sort of fighting style where a force user harnesses way of using saber towards darkside without becoming caught up in it, not like Palpatine.
-
Been to gamebanshee.com before a year ago, and they cover specific parts of both K1 and K2. Things like force power costs, durations, descriptions, weapon damage, skills and generally statistics are covered comprehensively. Might want to take a look at it at least once. Found their guide for Trayus core battle easy to understand.
-
So will assume that is its name. Thanks for that.
-
Would usually convert Atton and Handmaiden. Mical, I tend to leave him be as I converted him quite a few times during first few games. Mira, would level her up as a Scout due to her proficiency with ranged attacks and also since her attributes are more inclined towards a non-Jedi character.

Silvery green is Viridian, which might be what you are referring to. Looks slightly darker than consular green for lightsabers, but it is actually brighter than that. Silver can be obtained from Rodian vendor on Nar Shaddaa which she will have in her shop inventory after talking to her about establishing trade routes and having been through either Dantooine or Onderon. Viridian crystal is available from museum vault from Queen's palace on Onderon. Viridian could have been Kreia's colour, although she used purple floating sabers in endgame of TSL instead.
-
Really? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It would be hard to take Kreia. Real or not, that is another thing for others to consider. At the same time, some other characters like Vrook and Atris would be least likely ones I would choose anyway.
-
JO would be interesting for story/plot, while JA was more like a series of missions for its game. (Some of which were optional)
