Things that went wrong with this game
germi91 replied to ShadowCaster's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually that's exactly why l didn't like Kotor 2 as much as Kotor 1. Because in Kotor 2, it's too complicated. The 'Gray' neutral thing is not star wars. It don't feel it stays true to the original idea of Star Wars, in which it was a fight between good and evil. In Kotor 1, it was much more simple and easy to understand. It felt to me like a good star wars story. It was good against evil, right against wrong. In kotor 2, you suddenly go like all phylosophical and start questioning yourself, 'What is good and evil? Is there such a thing ?'. Star Wars isn't about phylosophy. It's about a fight, a battle, a war. It's light against dark. Jedi fighting the Sith or Dark side. For me, the story comes first in any RPG. The gameplay was equally bugged in both games, though. I did like the change in robes for example. I certainly didn't like either the influence system or the RLG. I really would like Bioware to make Kotor 3. Bioware has more experience. -
Something like that Vader is teh rul3z L33t! He's from the original movies, his force power is great and he reminds me to my father. Malak is bold, annoying and... well... he's cool too. He also has good 'evil' style. Still! Vader would defeat Malak by far!

It's a conspiracy! The nuns ARE the TRUE SITH!

Lots of yes replies... but anyway, Jolee is a must! He's black, he's got a goatee and he's goddamn right! Shove him in Kotor 3 Obsidian!

I often find it useful to write the names of each character on the notepad. -

I hope they make an Indiana Jones type Jedi who just mentions that Kreia was an old hag full of crap and leave it at that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are my hero. :D -
Story path/direction in relation to K1

Untrue. Bioware made Revan a true Sith wanting to conquer the galaxy. When Revan recovered his memories (Assuming light side is canonical), he chose to be a true Jedi and defeat Darth Malak. Simple: LIGHT VS DARK. This is how it should've been left. It makes the most sense. No neutral characters. That doesn't exist when you wield the force. Even Jolee was light sided and there is a difference between 'Neutral' and 'Being outside the order' and Gray Jedi are not neutral. They are mostly light sided with the simple difference that they are chaotic. -
Personally, l think the wookies are a cool race, holding honor before anything. I have to admit that having a walking carpet makes me uneasy...

the KOTOR franchise lives on

Don't worry, Star Wars has already been modified so that it is fit to make as much money as possible. -
Story path/direction in relation to K1

I think Obsidian should've kept it simple: Good VS Bad. Why all the 'I'm neutral, i'm a gray jedi/Dark jedi. I use the dark side of the force for the greater good'? I mean, l thought 'Once you start on the path to the dark side, forever it will dominate your destiny' or something. And here you see almost everyone using dark side powers, telling each other how neutral they are, how they don't see in absolutes and all. It doesn't make sense! -
Damn right!

Seeing how Vrook is still a master, that didn't happen... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too true. Vrook is a Jedi Facist so to say.

Well Nihilus comes from Latin, 'Nothing'. So in Latin you'd pronounce it Nee-hee-lus. Since this is Star Wars and not the Roman Empire, you can pronounce it however you like. Heck, you can even call him Darth 'Numanumayei'.

DS Consular to Sith Lord or Assassin?

Err... umm... l.... umm... *Coughs* Noooo! Don't Force Crush me! -
While l was replaying Kotor, l remembered Jolee and his ramblings about his youth and so on. It made me wonder, whatever happened to him after Revan left? I remember hearing from Disciple that many Jedi Holocrons were disappearing. Maybe it was Jolee who retrieved them? Maybe Revan told Jolee to find Jedi artifacts in the hope of saving as much Jedi history as possible? Or maybe i'm stupid and l haven't read a thread concerning this guy. What do you think?

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
germi91 replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, l suggest everyone begins a new game. It might be annoying, but it might save you from any future bugs you might encounter. Plus, you get to experience the full power of the dark side.... l mean, the cut-content. -
Then that explains the dullness of Korriban.

DS Consular to Sith Lord or Assassin?
germi91 replied to c_monke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sith lord i'd choose, just because it's cooler and in the main menu, you get to see your character there -
I liked Taris better. It seemed more active and more exciting. Peragus was good because of all the mystery thing but it seemed quite boring after a while. You want to know a really boring planet (Kotor II)? Korriban. I found it extremely boring.... except for the cave with those images of the exile's past, but that was the most it got to. The rest was plain and you could see how the developers didn't bother doing much with Korriban.

*Nods* Indeed.
