  1. ^ Just to clarify: I don't "hate" romances. I strive to have a "live and let live" approach to things. At the end of the day, it's just something that is not personally appealing to me, is all.
  2. I dont like romances because they use up zots that could be used for something else
  3. Truth be told, I'm not a fan of romances, regardless of the game in question. I mean, they may be very well written and genuinely compelling, but I feel like the moment romance becomes an in-game institution, it somehow tends to violently hijack and derail everything else. Maybe it's because it attracts a certain type of people. Maybe it's because it's hard to show a complex, realistic relationship in a vidya gaem format. I dunno. All I know is that over time, I have grown to dread the inclusion of romances. Heck, I'll go one step further: I would never, ever, wish any writer to have to write a romance in a highly anticipated video game. It's a kiss of death for everyone involved. SNEAKY LATE EDIT: I may have come off as overtly harsh and/or dickish, for which I apologize. I don't hate romances or people who enjoy them. People are free to like things and my ennui on the matter shouldn't mean anything.
  4. This reminds me of that one time in 1998, when The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
  5. ^ I know some people don't have the best opinion about Stellaris, but I agree that the OST is simply pure aural bliss. Patches come and go, but the music remains awesome.
  6. ^ I don't get it. EDIT: No, seriously, I don't! EDIT 2: Ah, crap. Now I get it.
  7. So you're that Picard from the hit TV series Star Trek: Picard?
  8. You go and apologize to Jan right now!
  9. Beavis and Butthead was a warning.
  10. ^ I have it on good authority that if you say "Mordheim" three times, Melkathi will appear at your doorstep.
  11. Honest and perhaps stupid question, because I feel like I'm missing some major piece in the corona puzzle: Why is it specifically toilet paper? Am I missing some important strategic value here?
  12. In the end, he did win that chess duel. RIP.
  13. So does Yello.
  14. I have two non-engineering degrees, almost zero hope for my own future and, while I know and accept that you are undoubtedly 100% correct, I still find this extremely depressing. Oh, well. To trash compactor I go!
  15. “Note for Americans and other aliens: Milton Keynes is a new city approximately halfway between London and Birmingham. It was built to be modern, efficient, healthy, and, all in all, a pleasant place to live. Many Britons find this amusing.” -Neil Gaiman, "Good Omens"
  16. I assume that you must... ... ... ...let it go? I like my low-hanging fruits, go away
  17. I wouldn't worry about him. He's enjoying his retirement in Deadfire.
  18. As a non-American, out of genuine and contextless curiosity: what's wrong with Stanford?
  19. I think you touched upon this in the "Unpopular Opinion" thread a bit, but out of curiosity, what's your stance on VtM Bloodlines?
  20. But you have two wonderful dogs, so it all evens out in the end.
  21. Ding ding ding! The post has gained all 7 forum reactions! Stay awesome, fellas.
  22. On candy stripe legs the corona comes Softly through the shadow of the evening sun Stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead Looking for the victim shivering in bed Searching out fear in the gathering gloom and Suddenly A movement in the corner of the room And there is nothing I can do When I realize with fright That the corona is having me for dinner tonight.
  23. The surveying phase in Stellaris is the closest thing to a Star Trek video game experience. Fight me.
  24. There's nothing to forgive. When you're a Pole, every loss is a victory!
