  1. Johnny Cage. Oh, wait.
  2. What's on the left hand side, I wonder?
  3. Oh. Gotcha, thanks. EDIT: I now know what Melkathi looks like. Huh. EDIT 2: ...surprisingly not a bear.
  4. Mini-hotel?
  5. Ah, Vampyr. Granted, it's a bit rough around the edges, but I can't help but applaud what the developers tried to do with that game (i.e. the social network stuff). Also, the atmosphere. What is darkness but lurking sun? What is wall but enslaved stone? What is glass but tortured sand? What is a song but a call to arms? What is hate but jilted love? What is life but death stranding pending? I hope you will have fun with it all the way through!
  6. ^ This is absolutely amazing, even outside the context of the coronavirus. I want something like this in Poland.
  7. When I retire, this is what I want to do.
  8. One is an internet streaming service, the other is an ungulate! jk don't hit me In all seriousness: I do not endorse ignorance, but as I grow older, I begin to realize just how little I know. And the world is, well, almost impossibly vast and complex to boot. Are some gaps in knowledge more infuriating than others? Sure. I do not excuse those. But I'd be a hippocrates hypocrite to condemn people who may very well be (and usually are) way more knowledgeable in other areas that I know squat about. Tl;dr: when it comes to these things, this is my philosophy:
  9. So they never tested you?
  10. I'm not - I wasn't aware of that thread - but I'm proud of you nevertheless.
  11. I'm 95% sure you can save him, although it's super hard: link In all fairness, I don't think I've ever managed to do that myself.
  12. So... does that make you Morte?
  13. Hold on, let me fix that...
  14. Out of curiosity, did you like The Fountain? I have always loved that movie. Still, I have also recently discovered that, apparently, people and critics alike didn't really think much of it.
  15. ^ The fact that Neil Gaiman responded and agreed to this makes this twice as amazing.
  16. Congrats on reaching the top and not quitting! I know the feeling that you're describing here all too well, and the fact that you managed to overcome it was no small feat. Also, the guy was indeed a douche. Screw him.
  17. If you squint, it kind of looks like Majesty!
  18. Aaaand I'm even more lost
  19. It's almost as if different people like different things!
  20. What? EDIT: No, seriously, what? Is this some kind of forum in-joke?
  21. I absolutely loved Sang-Froid! Also, it has some amazing music. The intro track is imho a joy to listen to. Fits the game perfectly, too.
  22. I do. Fury Road is amazing.
  23. Sadly, I have a crippling fear of heights, and it has often gotten in the way of visiting many awesome places. I try to fight it as much as I can, but it often feels like no amount of rationality is able to drain that feeling of going numb in all of your limbs and... well... just falling. No matter how unrealistic or ridiculous it might actually be. Some years ago, when I visited Preikestolen in Norway, I was able to hike all the way up to the rock formation, but since the main draw of the place is that it looks like this, I was hell-bent to get to the edge and look down, phobias be damned. It was a bit too much. Every small gust of wind was like a tornado, just waiting to suck me into the abyss. I was so numb I ended up crawling to the edge on my belly just to have that mental reassurance that I won't inexplicably be blown away by some random act of fate. In the end, I didn't make it. I did look down, but it wasn't a fully vertical 90-degree look I was going for. I wasn't able to reach the edge either. One day, however... One day.
  24. ^ Okay, that is just amazing. I'd love to visit that place someday.
