FO3 pirated in less than 24 hours after gold
LostStraw replied to Tigranes's topic in Computer and Console
Not sure how that detail changes what I said. *rummages around for glasses* No need to be harsh on the guy by calling him a dummy. He just doesn't seem like he would enjoy RPGs that would involve a lot of reading. I was mainly pointing out that Van Buren would probably not have gotten such a warm reception when it came to review scores. -

Don't worry the game is going to be a blast. After all it's very close to perfect as the "Official Xbox Magazine" score clearly shows They have "pick your dialouge options from big blobs of text" as a negative. I wonder what kind of score the reviewer would have given Van Buren if it had ever seen the light of day -

LittleBig Planet Delayed after Quran passage found in sound track.

Here's a link to a better quality version of the song -- have to say I like the sound of it. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/278932.html However, one should take note as to what the two passages translate to as well as note that this is an "E" rated game. This is Sony's way of trying to avoid controversy that would extend beyond those with certain Islamic beliefs. -
It's interesting you mention this as Blizzard has taken it a step in a more restrictive direction -- completely removing LAN play from Diablo 3 in order to help prevent piracy. Want multiplayer? You'll have to play through Battle.net. I don't know if they have / will do the same with Sarcraft 2 though.

Nope. Only Tris and Shani have two cards.

you can't... At least I couldn't find one, either you kill the robbers or the order guards. You sure?

Nasty Diablo! Is a fairy tale they say...
LostStraw replied to Moatilliatta's topic in Computer and Console
Well there's good news and (potentially) bad news. The good news is that the 4 player limit may not be the cap: http://pc.ign.com/articles/919/919059p1.html Confusing conflicting statements coming out of Blizzcon The (potentially) bad news is that there will be some sort of micro transactions: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55271 The article is much too vague to draw any useful conclusions so I'm leaving my panic hat off for now. -

Latest news is that multi-player games will have a 4 player limit Although its unconfirmed right now, stat points may not be distributable -- based upon the demo at Blizzcon. The new skills/runes system does look interesting though. Edit: Automatic stat assigning is confirmed (I miss-read the news post) -
Thanks everyone. I made it through Still, I wish it would have auto-saved after the cutscene.

I started up the enhanced edition and am stuck at the same part I was last time. The end of chapter 1 with the Hell Hound fight. I have my blade coated with spectre oil and a few potions already applied before entering but I always die a brutally quick death and the the witch isn't much help as she goes down even quicker than I do. I don't know If I'll continue past this point -- having to repeat the dialogue everytime before the fight is quickly draining my will to keep going. This was the one thing in the game I wanted changed the most

If you do have Sasser then this tool should remove it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en There are other free anti-virus solutions out there such as AVG and Avast. (No idea how good the programs are) Check the HD for errors and bad sectors. (Not a likely possibility but I'm grasping at straws) If you haven't updated to SP3 yet it may help to do so. (Then again it could also cause more problems ) -

The idea behind MegaTexturing is that the game only loads the bits and pieces of the texture it needs. Here's an old interview with Carmack that explains things better: http://www.gamerwithin.com/?view=article&a...le=1319&p=1 I'm definitely looking forward to this game like Bokishi. -
Details on the video card from: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...-GT.9449.0.html http://www.notebookcheck.net/ is a fairly comprehensive resource for information on notebooks/mobile video cards and how they stack up against one another. Hopefully it can help you out

Every race/sex had caps on all their stats. The females started with one less point in strength but one more point in constitution which lead to one less possible maximum point in strength but one more possible maximum point in constitution over their male counterparts. I played both female and male characters, it really didn't seem like that big of a deal Edit: That one point made very little difference as far as combat/gameplay was concerned

EULAs may be a gray area in the US -- but the DMCA is rather clear cut. Circumventing copy protection is illegal except in certain cases. Modern PC games do not fall under any of those cases.

The closest thing representing evolution in this game is the different gameplay stages and what parts you can add to your creature. There's no real representation of evolution where creatures change and adapt to their surroundings -- it's actually very static in that respect. I thought the same thing seeing how you essentially play as a god and all the creatures are hand made -
I've played quite a few MMORPGs, mostly betas and free trials, but I still haven't found any that I would be willing to invest a lot of time into and pay a monthly fee for. I really did enjoy Auto Assault and played it off and on throughout its beta -- the most fun I've had with any MMO so far. Unfortunately some of what I thought would be its best features were never developed beyond the very basics and left in poor broken states. Although I never picked it up after it went retail I was sad when it closed down. I suppose my second favorite MMO was Shattered Galaxy. Again, it was one I played off and on throughout its beta. I even got to be one of my faction Commander's subordinates at one point. After it went retail though the population dropped dramatically and as it stands now, along with severe unit imbalances and complete lack of continued development, if you aren't a paying subscriber who has already invested a significant amount of time you're fairly screwed in battle effectiveness. That is if you can even get in a battle as they're mostly controlled by guilds. Right now I can't think of any current MMOs that really interest me but I am looking forward to two upcoming titles, "The Agency" and "Jumpgate Evolution." The Lego MMO looks intriguing as well for its social aspects.
