why are you hitting each other again about nothing? im no english speaker but the use of words like ad-hominem, strawman and logical Fallacy is so damn boring nowadays, regardless of your opinion its like you are sitting in the same room screaming at each other some garbled mess because they need to be persuaded of their wrongness? who does that, and expect to find a useful end to the discussion? I want to point to Mr. Silent winter who made a Valid point, as long as the debug commands arent disabled (which i always think shouldnt be, since nobody has to cheat but there is no issue with that if you are alone) respec is already in the game. as others have pointed out in the other thread that bringing the whole thing into the background context you build over the course of the game it will always feel Hacked in, so in all honesty the ones making this decision will probably not do a respec but thats just a guess. -
It tells a lot about the project when fanboys defend it with blatant lies like that. I saw some first drafts of game magazines reviews and I think they will quickly verify the "quality" of PoE. as lephys says, it was just said that you never played the game, which is correct i presume? as everyone us entitled to their opinion it would be better to explain what your issues with the game are and to be honest about you never playing the game. I mean i didnt play it and it can be that i will be burned but so far, from what i have seen this wont be the case

Im against Respecs in general, choice and consequences is part of the game, as it should be. I can udnerstand people being annoyed by a ****ty build they made but the again this was addressed from the start. This here is Not DnD and the character system is way better to avoid such nonsense choices, a "normal" player will probably never Know which option would have been better in the end since they do not inform themselves up front (like many others do). So i dont think anyone will fall flat on their face, regardless of build and that something i found great from the get go, so a respec shouldnt be needed. -
nope i love that, i dont need the costly animations for something like that if the writing conveys the situation way better.

Hello BB master Sensuki I have a few questions as well: i would like to see a comparison between the AoE Increase of a High intellecet and a Low intellect character, im planning to play as a high intellect Barbarian and to my knowledge there is not range shown for the Carnage attacks which makes me wonder how big the difference is regarding intellect. also i would like to know how range of the weapon factors into that (since there are weapons with higehr reach (is that true for all 2 handers or only for pole weapons btw? )) then another thing is damage and accuracy of carnage attacks, the Wiki article says its less. but not by how much. Also is elemental damage factored into that as you showed above? if you could dedicate some time to that it would be most appreciated. Regardless if you have time for that or not, i saw your dedication to the project, im a QA guy myself and i know how tedious Bug testing can be. Having the same dedication through the whole development is a rare skill and i thank you for the work you put into the game, kudos.

there is only the barbarian, its not a tank though AFAIK (although he could somewhat do this) he more of a Hard hitter/Flanker with cool AoE damage. Wild Orlan barbarian FTW ! :D -
Hey, Just wanting to say that you are doing a good job overall. I like how you are approaching the topic in an informative manner and i like that you try to be as detailed as possible. i didnt watch this vidoe but some of the other PoE videos you made. I want to give some feedback on your videos. 1. You should get yourself a better mic, your voice is okayish but your PC sounds like you would sit on an Airport while recording, if you want to make these videos on a Proffessional basis this is something i feel is just not good enough, if its only because you want to make it as a hobby its okay i guess. 2. In the other videos you need to double check on things because you are not sure, also in the character previews you do not explain some of the base skills because you explained them in another video. the second point here is a mere inconvenience, but if you want to make the videos better try to capture the topic at the whole. You should imho think about how you approach the video before hand, maybe go over what you want to say 1-2 times before the actual recording, maybe making notes. If you want to give informations you should be informed yourself, saying "the tooltip is not really clear" on parts of your videos lower the overall quality, as an example. Even if that is the case (which it is) you should still know how the mechanics you describe work. i commend you on the effort you made so far and i feel its a good start so keep the good work up

The game looks really great, im happy to have bought it already. The NPCs seem to be very interesting and i guess i already thought about the party composition. To questions remain though: 1) As others have stated, it would be nice to see the NPCs in the stronghold actually running around, i dont mind managing them through lists to have a efficient way of interacting with the stronghold mechanic, but still having them around would be way cooler. Did we ever get the info if them hanging around is happening? (or the other way around if they arent.) 2) I wodner if we can use custom made adventurers for stronghold issues (like escorts etc) or if that is companion only? That would be an incentive to design some yourself even if you like the companions. Bonus question that came up: Will Companions incerase in level if they stay in the stronghold?

since i never heard that, what game do you mean? i agree with the others though, an Action based RPG on PS4 and PoE which has a lot less "action" and is only on PC, i do not really see how these games are in the same competision. I could argue that the target group is a whole lot different. Its like comparing C&C with Fire emblem, sure they are Strategy games but still the target group is different. I mean there is certainly an Overlap but you know what i mean. Let me say it this way: Im not a PoE backer and i joined these forums because im just interested in the game. i didnt back it beause i for not like the combat system i prefer a Turn based system. (yay, toment ... sorry) And still Obsidian persuaded me to Buy this game (i even pre-ordered which i normally dont do, but its fine i had a seperate reason for that). So the game has a lot going for itself. And i never heard of Bloodbourne

Hey guys, since we got a new topic we can get the discussions going again. Hopefully this time we will be able to have constructive discussion, i am going to counter the awkwardness of the new topic now (which probably is the reason why nobody has written anything in here yet) So Romance: My standpoint on the matter is a little more balanced, i do not particulary care much for romances, even more in the style it came up in the games like DA, Mass effect etc. Then again i feel, Love, Sexuality and caring for each other is an Integral part of being Human, so i can see why people would want to inlcude romance in a game like this. It is a Matter of Immersion (damn overused word) and can make characters believable, it always feels wierd if there is no Love is to be had in a Story, since you just ignore a very important part of the charackters. There are quite a few issues with romances though. Do you Feel that Romances have to be sexual to be effective? even more if we see PoE in the light of its graphics were it would be even more ridiculous to see people having a intimate relationship. Also there is the issue with inclusivness, We have more than one sexual orientation. And it is kinda udnerstandable that all of the, nowadays widely accepted forms (which is great), of sexuality wants to be represented. This also goes hand in hand with Racial implications where some groups feel underrepresented. I think the Problem with the "modern" Romances is that as soon as you cater for every possible variant: eg. FxF FxM MxM and then have more romancable options to have different objects of your affections leads to a cluster of unbelievable Pick and choose. How would you guys (the guys who want romances) propose to avoid/solve these Issues? ( i mean i can see where these complaints come from, if you are homosexual you do not want to be pressed into an heterosexual context (well not entirely true i can enjoy it all since im RPing not in the game myself, but i digress)) -
ahh that solves the issue then, @the more critical viewpoints well you could Still not believe Mr.BAdler but no that would be kinda a stretch. I mean as long as they dont actually show you the original Bank details you could feed your doubts. They are not only used, but willing to buy at this price. I agree that we may be able to boycot this if nobody buys any game for more then 30$. But im pretty sure this would lead to a lot less games and lower quality games overall.
