I apologize for not interpreting your rant correctly. I hope the hockey gods will forgive my transgression. YOU ARE NOT A HOCKEY FAN, POSER. ahahaha these Volocomments are getting more and more funny over the years. devils still suck. I don't know how the coach hasn't been fired yet, but I guess he can't be blamed for everything. Letting Paul Martin go to the Pens was the biggest mistake the organizations made. Kovy is in a slump, and Parise is still out with that knee-injury. Goodbye consecutive playoff appearance

hahahaha that's the most ridiculous shootout goal ever. the spin at the beginning did NOTHING. that kid has some balls.
  3. I say the same about console gaming. Whenever I hear 'normal' in the context of personal hobbies/activities, I always remember MacCauley's response in Heat to Hanna's query about leading a 'normal type life' Are you saying that PC gaming is more worthwhile than console gaming? I don't understand that. Anyway, if you're already "wasting time" playing video games, your next hobby shouldn't be painting miniature figures. That's all I'm saying.
  4. Second weekend in a row I've went on a gaming-binge and bought and played a game through in one sitting. Last weekend was Halo: Reach which I was very satisfied with. This weekend was CoD: Black Ops which had a really great story, surprisingly. Reminded me a lot of Shutter Island.
  5. You should learn to play the guitar with me. It is probably cheaper, and chicks dig musicians. Not so much for the painting plastic men. Have to agree here; especially if you're over the age of 18. Whats wrong with collecting and painting miniatures?... It doesn't exactly do anything for you, I mean sure, you can have fun with it...but there are plenty of hobbies that are more worthwhile.
  6. def. bring up those asian parents who have neglected their kids and left them to literally die in their cribs while they play WoW
  7. Impossible, the first one was AWFUL
  8. Well, after 4 or so long months, I am back to being an actual "gamer". Last summer I traded in my Xbox, thinking I could do without it but I was wrong. After sustaining myself on mainly Starcraft 2 and Counterstrike (on my Macbook, Steam<3) I finally went out and purchased a nice new 360 and Halo: Reach. I beat Reach in one sitting yesterday, and holy crap what an epic game. Really sad that Bungie won't be doing Halo games anymore but they went out with a bang for sure.
  9. Single most illogical reason for not liking a TV show that I have ever heard.

    1. You think it's classsy for a much bigger guy to figfht someone smaller than him? I sure don't. I'm gonan go start a fight with the next dwarf (real dwarf not D&D dwarf) I see to prove how tough and classy i am. never said anything about class, but nice try. avery is also known as being one of the least classy players in the league. racial slurs, hitting goalies in the head with his stick...i could go on and on. so it's pretty dumb of you to bring in "class" when talking about avery *shrug* 2. That was no cheap shot unless you redefine cheap shot. Smid was looking right at Avery when Avery punched him. avery seemingly decline the fight and then waited for smid to be skating sideways, with his hands down to jump in and punch him. it was cheap, and he took a shot. guess that makes it a cheap-shot, right? lol 3. Avery has fought guys just as big a Smid and held his own.Avery, to clue you in, is one of the most successful fighters in the NHL. he obviously thought he couldnt hold his own this time , cause he had to cheapshot him 4. OPilers lost 8-2 to the loser Rangers. They should be nmore worried about imrpoving their hockey play instead of gooning it up like Smid and co tried to do.. then whine like crybabies when they were outgooned and punked.

Clowny Avery is a clown. Waited for the guy to think he wasn't going to fight because he was probably afraid to fight Smid. Smid: 6'3 225 Avery: 5'10 195 ittybitty avery would have gotten the crap kicked out of him if he had dropped the gloves when he was challenged, but I guess winning with a cheap shot is just as good

Well, the Devils still suck. Dropped 3-0 to the Bruins tonight. They looked horrible on the powerplay. I don't know why this coach hasn't been fired yet.
  13. hurlshot, this is the most accurate metal depiction of you.
  14. Uh...Wouldn't Ironman be the man of iron?
  15. Seen both episodes so far. Really digging it so far, but the "best friend sleeping with your wife cause we thought you was deaaad!" is so over played. I'm gonna call that the Sheriff guy finds that necklace with her ring/locket on it at some point "She was here!"
  16. It's available to watch on Hulu.com! Watched the first episode earlier. It was great.
  17. The beautiful thing about the guitar is you don't need to be able to read music, at all. Tab is essentially cheat codes for guitar. Shows you how to play music without knowing how to play music. Give someone enough time, and someone who has never played the instrument before can learn "Smoke on the Water" in 10 minutes with tab.
  18. Don't worry. The first few chords are gonna be a little difficult but then it gets easier. Then harder again. Then easier. Then harder. Remember, fret each note with the tips of your fingers (not with the pads, or you'll accidentally mute other strings by touching them). Also, speed IS important. Don't feel like you've "mastered" a chord until you can transition to it without pause in between. Best way to practice this is to take your hand off the guitar, then fret the chord, take your hand off the guitar, fret the chord, repeat! Good luck!
  19. Cool stuff Hurlshot. Just remember, your fingers are going to hurt a lot. That's not a sign you should stop playing though, the more you abuse them the tougher they'll get and then you'll find they suddenly no longer hurt. That's what I've heard, although I heard electrical is not as hard on the fingers as acoustic. I also heard classical guitars (because of nylon strings or something?) are easier too, but my goal is electric so I figure no need to start on something different. Ideally, it's probably best to start on an acoustic because generally speaking they're harder to learn on, making the transition to electric seem pretty easy, but there's nothing wrong with starting on an electric. The best advice I can give you, as simple as it sounds, is not to give up. Every now and then (it happens more often when you're just starting out) you'll come across something that just seems impossible. For myself, I had a hard time learning barre chords. You'll find yourself saying "my fingers just won't move fast enough" or something along those lines, but the trick is to do everything very slowly, and very accurately. Anyone can build up enough dexterity to play the guitar, it may just take some longer than others.

  22. Good stuff. Anyways, after being fairly busy with school stuffs, or rather paperwork for school stuffs, I'll actually try to get some posts in. Where do you go to school again?
