  1. Dunno if it's legit but it makes me nervous. I really don't want to see another debacle like this involving game developers that I like. Please research beforehand with every country that you guys are committed to do localization to avoid any potential problems like this. If you know early on that some localizations will be way more expensive than you thought, you can choose to have the community do it for you, and be forthcoming about it too since translation work done by the community will prolly not be as good as the professionals. I can put many examples of indies on steam who provide italian localization. Did they use some sorcery? How did they pass through this whole bad bad world of corruption and toxcitiy? How did Obsidian managed to localize PoE 1 in italian without meeting all this postapocalyptic scenario?
  2. Not that late, it's midnight! I always go to sleep at 2:00 Am and working at 9:00 You can still see it on phone directly in bed, just before sleeping, to gain time
  3. 2 things i wanna point out: 1- Localization stretch goals at start are a good choice to get people in, i've backed the game as soon as italian localization popped up, so did many other friends and i'm pretty sure many spanish and russian folks too. 2- For what i've red, they won't add the new stronghold (the ship) via stretch goal because it's already on the game but there will be a stretch goal related to it, basically more options
  4. I won't lose hope. The next one is pretty sure Portoguese, but the next could be Hungarian aswell. They said they wanna add more languages possible, Have faith
  5. I've just pledged 99$ as soon as italian language popped up. Also, having portraits for every quest giver is a little but very nice touch, not to mention the UI customization! I guess they are trying to address all the issues of PoE for the best sequel possible, i see PoE as experimental and this as the real game, i'm pretty sure it will be a masterpiece
  6. Hey mate, it's coming! 2.4 or 2.6 k! 100% guaranteed
  7. EVVAI!!!! Thank you Obsidian for not forgetting us, now i can finally back the game! My wallet is ready I hope the next one will be for our Portoguese friends
  8. Only 50k to next stretch goal. I bet 100% it is either Italian or Portoguese. (and it will be Czech) Btw sorry everybody if we're kinda spamming here, it's just the anxiety of having the game we love and wait the most in our language. Apologize
  9. Feargus confirmed Portoguese to come soon in a stretch goal.
  10. I just looked at PoE sales, it's like, more or less: 1-US 2-UK 3-GER 4-RUS 5-FRA 6-POL 7-SPA 8-ITA So, if they are doing languages stretch goals by PoE sales (it would be reasonable), we should be next. This also explain why polish and russian before spanish. I have to say we have bad tastes for games, if you look Italy sales charts there is always Call of Duty\Assassin creed\Fifa, this explains why those products are always fully localized and voice acted, while rpgs are not.
  11. Eheh, spotted! The english accent is so noticeable you can clearly hear it It's a lot more elegant compared to the american one
  12. True, but in case of a Polish localization some words, that are translated literally, look horrible. Also it bugs me to hear the English voiceovers and have Polish text. That's why I play PoE in English. Tides of Numenera will have a professional cast of actors doing voiceovers, so I will gladly try it out in Polish Was POE polish version bad? Because our version was absolutely stunning, they localized it perfectly and without any error if not few typos. If there will be some italian version of PoE 2 , i hope they will hire the same team for localization
  13. Guys, don't forget that PoE is such a heavy text game, so, even if many of us can understand english, it still requires more effort than playing in native language. Not the best thing after 10 hours of work, considering that we play for fun or relax. I mean, it's not Doom. Reading, understanding and enjoyng dialogues is 60% of the game. I probably would still enjoy and understand the game in english, but i'm 100% sure the overall experience would be ten times better in my language, same for many non-english folks
  14. Feargus almost confirmed Spanish will be next. @txibi u can be safe And they said they are trying to add many languages as possible. Hope so
  15. The problem is more evident with a game like this, with such huge amount of text, even with those who know english. Not a big deal with action games, but after 10 hours of work everyday, i wanna be relaxed when back at home playing games and not alting+f4 every minute to find that word meaning on google.
  16. So, next Stretch goals are Russian and Polish, it make sense considering how well the game sold in those countries. I bet next one is spanish.
  17. Me and a couple of friends are waiting for other languages to be added as stretch goals, so we can found a discrete amount to help reaching it.
  18. Josh said also Persian, that's why u got that desert and palace.
  19. Sawyer is a passionate dev and he put a lot of effort in games he make. I really appreciate that. The world building in PoE was huge. The only think i don't like very much about him is the fact he has an historycal attitude, with PoE i had the feeling he wanted to do something with a real setting rather than a fantasy one.
  20. I really loved POE soundtrack, and i would like to see Justin back at work for POE2. Any info about this?
