  1. Keanu reeves as reven? Bastila: The galaxy is yours my master, the jedi order is no more. Reven: Excellent! *plays air guitar solo* Seriously though, yeah this has been done before quite alot. Well, at least the look-alikes part has.
  2. Tell that to the ten times I reloaded today just to prove you wrong, came up Double Blade ten out of ten. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you save and reload before you opened the container/looted the guy, or was it before you entered the area? Because the items you will find are randomly chosen the first time you enter the area, thus if you were reloading when you were already in the area then you will get the same loot no matter how many times you reload.
  3. 1 droid came out? sounds like the fairly rare door-closing-too-early glitch, your supposed to be up against 2 droids, if you killed one and the other is still stuck behind the door... well, you see how it bugs up? Try placing a mine as close to the door as you can go, in hopes the robot on the other side triggers it, if it does then just keep placing mines till its dead. Or try leaving the area and re-entering it, that might reset the droid to a better location?
  4. EDIT: oh, before you do anything, open swkotor2.ini with notepad, and add the line; Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 add that line at the bottom of "graphics options". It might help with the laggyness. Then try out the game before doing anything else. The error was N_DarthBand pmbmm? That to me sounds like there was a problem with somthing regarding darth bandon... but he was in kotor1 (though files from him are probly in kotor2 too). Have you installed any mods at all? I would reccomend backing up your saved games, then re-installing the game (as it sounds like it has a problem with a file) update you game and install all of the "Gameplay fixes" from team gizka: Link to team gizka I would also try playing the game a little BEFORE restoring your old saves, just incase restoring your saved games gives you problems.
  5. Thats a new one to me... i cant see how the resoloution changing can damage it, its just like turning it on/off as far as i know. Also, i dont know any way to stop the game changing the res or at least resetting the res (as in, the clicking). It I THINK the game movies run at 1600 x 1200 res if your monitor can handle it, or something like 640 x 480 if it cant. So your only way to (try) and stop the res change would be to use one of those resoloutions. Seriously though, never heard of a resoloution change causing damage to a monitor..
  6. I would second that, it sounds like a certain file has gotten corrupted somehow (most likley something referancing atris or the acadamy). And your not using any mods, right?
  7. I thought i was the only one! Those damn fish things scared the smeg outta me, being all creepy and fishlike... and swimming.. and stuff. *shudders* There needs to be a firaxian shark rehab clinic imo.
  8. Goths... seems kinda obvious <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *starts hacking bits off his face* And yeah, sion dies so theres not really anyway he could come back... unless they pull a wizard of oz type thing and make malacor just a dream "
  9. I could be wrong, but i think it the dialouge was mentioned and it wasnt restored as it had no purpose and/or was unfinished. Then later the media patch arrived and filled in a bit more of how it could go if you sided with nihilus.
  10. Carth.. hmm.. whiney little bugger, but he was usefull with a blaster, he may stay. Jolee "i hate you, old man" Bindo: possibly my favorite human, i kinda wish he could have been in kotor2 somewhere... Malak: How does he eat? Mandalore: As in the kotor2 mandalore i'm assuming.. well he can stay, i liked him, even if he did go soft near the end Sion: Needed a vat full of vasaline for his skin, but was decent. Seeing the game-art of what he could of been makes me feel dissapointed though. Hanharr: cant say i care much for the wookier, his rage attack can be usefull though, glad they didnt make him jedifyable. Goto: meh, cut content kinda screwed him over too i imagine, he would probly be pretty usefull on the droid planet, but as it stands his only saving feature is he sounds like the dude from transformers. He gets my vote i'm afraid... Atton: for some reason i wish they had made him a bit younger, less like han solo. Nihilus: sounds like a drainpipe, not given enough screen time. HK-47: best droid ever. other star wars games seem to rip him off though, even battlefront 2 has "meatbag" quotes from the droid army.
  11. Are you sure its entering sleep mode? If it is is then it should happen at a set time (eg 10 minutes since the game started). Can you alt+tab out of the game?
  12. If you go into gameplay options there should be a setting called something like "mouse look". And it will act as if you have the right mouse button clicked, so you only need to press the left mouse button to move around. Then go into mouse settings and choose "reverse mouse buttons" and that should be it.
  13. If you havnt yet tried updating the bios or reverting to older graphics card drivers then i would advise trying that, its helped other people s it might help you. Thats taken from another topic where a dual core user had issues with the game, so first i would advise updating your motherboard bios and then try an older set of graphics card drivers. And no, theres no real chance of there being a patch now.
  14. I'm guessing it a problem with your X2 chip, kotor2 is having slowdown problems with the dual cores. Give searching for "dual core" a try and see if you can find anything more usefull to you, the only tricks i can remember was BIOS update and disabling one of the cores, i think rolling backing the drivers to a previous number (ie instead of v7.xx drivers use v6.xx) helped with Nvidia cards too.
  15. Wheres tatooine? I loved the vast sprawling desert, if it wasnt for the czera markers (and a map) it would be quite easy to get lost there, i loved that level. I guess its between manaan and kashyyyk (still not sure on the correct pronunciation), i think kashyyyk has my vote though. Score one for the wookies
  16. Always been critical strike for me. Though i've been playing through as a DS guy using power strike and its hard to land a hit. its like 25% change of actually hitting them or something. When i was lower level i simply never hit, ever. Maybe my next playthrough i'll give flurry a go
  17. I have been meaning to do this for such a long time, heh. Clicky the linky
  18. I belive i do Your using an ATI card am i right? I shall quote myself from a ye-olde posting... Hopefully that'll do it. I had this problem forever, played through the game with it several times, very annoying.
  19. I used to get that problem, but i dont recall why... you havnt overclocked anything recently, have you?
  20. I'm not sure if its in the unmodded version of the game, but i get that and i have USM installed. Remember that alot of dialouge that was cut still had voice overs, so they could have added it back in if it wasnt in already.
  21. Ah well then, maybe downgrading will help even if your not dual core... I belive you uninstall your graphics card drivers through device manager, normally i dont bother when changing drivers but the best way really is to uninstall your graphics card driver then install the older drivers. Might also be worth checking if theres another new version out, incase they fixed a problem you got. You could also try using the disable vertex buffer, incase that is the problem. I'll fetch a link explaining it... http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...04entry455904
  22. Ah... is it a dual core? Theres issues with those currently. I'm not sure if it was resolved, however i think osmeone mentioned disabling the dual core in the bios fixed it, i'll have a look... EDIT: for the dual core users i've found 2 possible fixes. 1: update motherboard bios 2: downgrade Nvidia drivers to a non v8xxx, like v7x.xx instead, apparantly that fixes things too.
  23. I had your card and i could do 1600 x 1200 no problem, as long as AA was on 2 and not 8 lol. Firstly, make sure its not set to 8x Anti Aliasing because not only will it KILL performance, it actually looks WORSE then x4 because of the game engine i assume. At that resoloution x2 is enough anyway. You dont happen to have 2 monitors do you? lol.
  24. Well i think everything i was gonna say has pretty much been covered, but here goes... 1: More chances to gain influence. Personally i think that there should be a few key places to gain influence for each character. Say for example your with bao dur who is a tech guy, and you do a good deed to help a tech guy, then you should get an inflence bonus. This is currently how it works most of the time. However there should be generic chances to gain influence, there should be many things marked as DS or LS acts in the game, and when one of these is performed it checks to see if any party members match the alignment of the act you commited and give you an influence boost. This would mean you get a nice simple way of gaining influence with party members, and would also mean that they change their alignment and ACT like they follow that alignment, as i'll rabble about in point 2... 2: Having a DS party members who act LS, very annoying. They NEED to have certain things only triggered if LS or DS, again using a basic system to check if a character is LS or DS shouldnt be too hard to impliment and would mean characters fit their roles. 3: Not entirley related to influence, but i also belive dialouge was lacking in the game. What happened to the 2 characters you take with you chatting randomly? i liked that in kotor1, made it seem like things revolved around you a little less. Maybe even having Jedi characters persuade non-jedi characters to become jedi would be good? Or at least if you have high inf with one party member, have that party member try to convince the other party member to follow the side of alignment your main character is. It wouldnt take much time space or effort for them to just add a few lines for each character to say to the other when on the move. 3: I dont care much for the new way dialouge works, but at least it lets me backtrack to find out things in the story. Why they seemed to give Visas no new options and give bao dur no actions at all though is beyond me. I was also thinking that since the text can be misleading, making you mistakenly say the wrong thing, that maybe colour coding the text with a slight tint would be good. You could have a colour for dialouge options you've already said, and of course red/blue for LS DS gaining lines. 4: I dont normally go for romance things in game, however it would be nice if the option to do so was more prominent. Kotor2 NEARLY had it right, making it so that the ones you loved fought it out over you. I was suprised and pleased to find out that if you go DS and have influence over visas that it makes the handmaiden angry, i had no use for a LS none-jedi in my team. Being DS, i would have found a way to corrupt her anyway, if i could. I think that would create a rather nice echo... SO yeah, in short: I like it, but it needs alot of expanding
  25. Quite good, but i cant fathom the defensive part. If i drag my mouse to to the side i need to block it turns the other way, and if i drag it to the other side then its too far away to block! I can play it fine as long as the enemies stay right infront of me lol
